So, these inserts in the dress will create a swirl when she twirls. Very cool dancing effect. Did you plan it that way? If you didn't then it had to be a sublevel creativity thought. Love from your sister Annie
I apologize for being a "click o'holic" I went to your profile to see if Karen was your wife and I accidently clicked the image report. I wish it had come up with some confirmation question but it didn't, sorry.
Lucky me! I brought Karen a favorite dress I have that I love to wear for Ballroom and Latin dancing. The wedding dress concept was conceived. We shopped at one of Karen's favorite fabric stores and only at the very, very end of our search we found this fabric. The first fitting was yesterday. Good thing Tom did not video (nothing under this dress)--no place to hide! Peggy
Yes, this is her first featured role. She's cameoed in several other vids. She is a natural, isn't she? Especially when talking about her stuff! Well, I missed a fitting video opportunity earlier today 'cause I was busy on a conference call with Diane!
this was a different type vlog for you, Tom but I so enjoyed. Please tell Karen that is a beautiful fabric, she's super talented, I'm sure, and please yes, do keep us posted on this dress. (can you tell it is a woman writing this even if you didn't see the username?) haha thanks Tom, have a good weekend. We're blizzarded in here in Ohio. I hope it doesn't move your way. Susan
It certainly was different! Karen's very excited about working with this beautiful fabric and about making a wedding dress for one of her very best friends! Thanks...fortunately for us, snow stayed West. My daughter in Ohio got clobbered!
You are SO faking that you know what he is talking about, Tom! LOL!
Didn't Monet invent the godet? ;-)
Dress is looking great. Can't wait to see Peggy trying it on!

You've correctly perceived my reaction to much of my wife's work: wonder!
Thanks.

Frank, I'll get her to respond to this when she's done doing some of that "slashing" and "attaching" stuff she talked about!

Yes, Karen is, indeed my wife! Not to worry...if I get thrown off because of an image of worn old shingles, well, it's probably poetic!

cool!

Whoah! We'll have to show this video to Benny, it'll be a shock to see Grandma on the computer and not just Grandpa blabbing away!
You could post still pics of the bridesmaid dresses she whipped up in 2003 too!

That should be fun!

Love the fabric, love the designer, love the bride, can't wait to see how it all turns out!
Great video!

Thanks. I've kinda got a crush on the designer myself! Oh, and the bride's not bad, either.

Ah yes, the bride is heard from! Thanks, Peggy! As you can tell, your buddy is having lots of fun making this dress!
I actually did film yesterday's fitting using my "hidden camera" technique. That video is available by mail order...price upon request!

Well, Karen makes her tube debut!! She's great - a natural.
And, yes, the fabric is very beautiful, and Peggy is one lucky girl! Please video the fitting...that would be interesting too.
