I LOVE MY CREDIT UNIONS!! they actually care about you youre not just a faceless serial number like u are at Chase and cititbank(the worst customer service ever!)

Many people are eligable to join a credit union but don't know it! Foir example, where I work, we had employees who were paying "check cashing" firms big fees to get their paycheck cashed when these people were eligable for credit union membership as a benefit of working for us! So first we need to educate people, make sure they know if there is a credit union they can already join. I think many would join a CU if they knew they could!

I haven't had a bank account in 28 years, and certainly won't change now. Banks are the first to collapse (eg. INDYMAC). Some credit unions can expand their membership now, so ask around and join.
