If I find one, I think I'm going to build that and trade the FJ for something more economical on fuel for my daily driver. Ironically, The Dodge Challenger is more fuel efficient than my FJ, not saying thats what I'm going to get, of course. Are you going to spray some new paint or just run as is?
@NCSheepdog613 yeah im am going to paint the tan smoke grey and the paint the brown white to match the rest of the blazer should look pretty clean when its all done. Should be lifted here soon and then i will be working on bigger tires and a winch :)
Memories. I used to have a 82 K5. Very easily the biggest pile of crap I've ever owned. I never knew a rear end could explode until I got that truck. Well, I guess it's a good thing. I've owned Fords ever since, and never had any issues, lol. They are good old beaters. I might be purchasing a old beat to crap Bronco to chase cattle in. We shall see.
@bisquik3006 I have owned and own A Ford,Chevy and a dodge as I am typing this just a little history on boths fords and chevys in 82 the K5 came with a 10 bolt rear end and if not pampered they would blow up AS fords have 8.8's and if not pamperd they blow up in 75 that is the year of my blazer they have 12bolts and they are very tuff rear ends as the olders fords came with 9inch rear ends and they are also very tuff they all break just ask any good tech.Im a usa car/truck guy.

oh yea, i'd give u my wifes car for that one. i love old chevys! its easy enough to adjust the tappet arms on those, but a little lifter noise goes hand and hand w those old trucks.

Had a 79 Dodge Powerwagon........dana 44 front and chrysler8.75 rear, 4.56 gears and a 318 with a 4x4 cam......best truck i have ever sat in!
