The US is pretty violent but I can't remember the last time I heard of an ambulance crew being attacked. The firefighters got shot at back in the LA riots and in the 60's it was common but not now. You people are weird and scary, beating up ambulance medics.

Fantastic campaign. Where we are constantly told by authorities to stay out of it, here we see the opposite and in my opinion a much better option.

Get involved and help when people are assaulted. Random aggression would not be anywhere near as bad is people would simply all stand up against it.

P.S I think what we are seeing here is an example of the bystander effect. The term was coined after the murder of Kitty Genovese in NY 1960s? Wiki it. Cant believe people think that this doesn't happen in their countries and that its just The Netherlands. This happens all over the world, and no its isn't normal in any part of the world. but it does happen on occasions. I wonder, if this campaign is going to work!? People passing by seem to be entertained by any kind of movie sequence. They seem to enjoy the action rather than beeing concerned about "their" behaviour. ^^ But it's definitly a good thing to point at the problem and make it public... I like it, anyway. ;-)

@Zielsucher Yes I was surprised by most peoples reaction. I am pretty sure that I would find it quite disturbing to be part of that anti agression screen ''trick''. I found just watching this here on youtube quite hard hitting. Unsure if it would have any positive impact on my potential reaction though due to the flashback effect (the video made me start to relive past violent incidents, which obviously is incapacitating instead of empowering/encouraging). Hope it works for others though :)

Yeah, Dutch Society is totally broken, and we can fix it by runnig some propaganda ads. Fact is, no public service employee or anybody in general is encouraged to cut you slack, bend the rules, or help you out in any circumstance for the sake of humanity. Following the rules is what is valued. So, if you want people to help the "public service employees", you must make it rule/law with a penatly for lack of compliance. The real life cop shows show the police there going round in heavily armored vehicles and get all sorts of things lobbed at them, such as petrol bombs, fireworks etc. The police just sit in their vans while they get pelted with the stuff by gangs of 50 to 60+ little kids & teenagers, because they know there's nothing they can do to stop them without endangering lives and causing an even bigger riot involving adults
