  • first time i listen to this song and i gotta say that this is a pretty awesome song! :)

  • Maybe Im just too old for this but guys, metal is metal no matter what branch, its a united front. What sets us apart from the damned pop and hip hop culture.

We are brothers in metal. (Even though I dislike manowar usually they have it right)

  • iced earth is power metal, you dont know what your talking about, your a creep, anyone else agree?

  • how can a man create that music? :O

    total respect!!

    thank you Iced Earth....

  • One of my Favourites from Iced Earth!! F*cking AMAZING! Hail Iced Earth from Hell-as

  • Listen hard black metal fans.Iced Earth and King Diamond handle this occult and horror movie stuff without giving up on clean vocals and killer musicianship. What good does it do to be Satanic or dark when you cant understand the vocals.

  • Sometimes I actually wonder if people thought I was serious lol.

  • @WeepingBurma

i didn't wonder if you're dumb. you obviously are.

  • @coolfknstorybro Well....I made a 4.0 last semester and am getting a full ride through school because of my academic merit. And...I can pick out between Owens and Barlow quite easily. It's like...no shit. You have to be fucking retarded not to be able to. You're trolling me anyway, I don't know why I'm responding. If you couldn't decipher that I was trolling with the first comment( I don't think you're that dense, surely), I have little faith in your abilities to judge character.

  • That's Matt Barlow. Matt and Tim sound so not alike... ;-)

  • Tim Owens sounds great on this one, but then again he always does...

  • @WeepingBurma owens???

  • @WeepingBurma LOL go back to school bro

  • @WeepingBurma OMG! It's Tim Owens! Didn't know he sounds like Matt Barlow all of a sudden! *Sarcasm*

  • Ah This is what makes me feel good! Love Iced, love Barlow's voice! \m/

  • @peoplearecreatures

I encourage you too have a listen to ripper performing any of his songs live now and you will see that he can nail absolutely every single note no matter how high, ripper realy struggled with them when he was with iced earth but since then has improved 10 fold

  • @Gkats5513 Ripper is good for studio, but sucks at live concerts. All in all, Barlow is better than Ripper because Barlow is consistent. He can actually sing the high parts in the songs live, not sing low with the chorus. While the DF conversation is up, ZP sucked because he couldn't sing live. He was the main reason they didn't sound good live. I'm glad they found a replacement, no offense.

  • Ripper would blow this album to heavens...too bad Schaffer went with the trend and brought back Barlow, only for him to retire now.

  • Simply stated-there is NOTHING here audio wise to dislike-screw them haters!!!!May Iced Earth reign forever-Oh,and by the way-Matt Barlow is the best vocal man they EVER had!!!

  • No way are Iced Earth power metal. I'd call them unique; the genre of perfection. To be honest I think they are a pleasant blend of power metal, NWOBHM - Iron Maiden, Judas Priest etc, thrash metal and melodic metal.

  • @bloodguiser whoever calls them pure power metal has no clue about metal, but the basics do remind a lot of power metal. i'd say they are a power metal band with a strong thrash influence

  • this song is great

  • Matt Barlow is my hero since i was 16 when i first listened to Iced Earth. i am 25 now.

Ripper and Stu Block can suck my balls

  • @nektorhond I respect your opinion, but The Ripper, and Matt Barlow are both very gifted. :)

  • who the fuck would dislike this?...

  • @helopeaplee gay scene kids for example?

  • Music is an art not a science. Whether you are into metal or reggae or blues , rock and jazz its all either good or bad. And Iced Earth KICKS ASS ..every album tells a story and each album is good in there own way.

  • This song is Crucible of Man's "Ten Thousand Strong".

  • I have heard this song, watching over me and Ten Thousand Strong, so far I love :D Any other amazing songs?

  • Amazing track...

  • Come what may, Harbinger of Fate, and I walk alone are all very good songs. But I agree, we need something a bit more like Burnt Offerings. These concept albums were interesting, but have outlived their welcome. I'd like Iced Earth to return to their roots...find themeslves again...and their fanbase.

  • @PontiacAlfaHSV Try Crucify the king

  • i love metal music and all, but i just cant get into iced earth...

  • @xKaseyChavezX If you've only listened to this album and you're saying that then you need to listen to Burnt offerings and All of the album Horror show. Something wicked this way comes, Trilogy of the Antichrist is some of their best work. Also look up Setian massacre (Matt Barlow) and The Glorious Burden gettysburg and declaration day. If you still can't get into them after that then you are lost to the crap of 21st America and Europe.

  • @SweetOdinsRavens ok i'll check it out thx. i do listen to alot of music from the 21st century tho, check my channel :)

  • FATALITY! Iced Earth WINS!

  • @GermanChocolateCake I have to admit, it made me laugh.

  • The album art makes me hot in the pants.

Very few non-sexual album covers have had this effect on me.

  • YAY the only good song on this album!

  • I AM THE TRUTH AND I WALK ALONE!!!!!!!

  • damnn il go crazy lol how the hell can you compare iced earth with BFMV you cant its BLASPHEMY!!!!!!!!

iced earth are so much better i dont need to say that its obvious!!! BFMV is a decent band you cant compare the only thing you can compare is the name of the lead vocalists they both called matt but thats all xD

btw i liked the new album but my all time favorite is Something Wicked This Way Comes

  • Reading thru all the comments I noticed nobody was talking bout Something Wicked This Way Comes which has pretty good concept and imo can match both Burnt Offerings and Dark Saga. Btw both Owens and Barlow are great vocalists in their own way just Owens wasnt much of a IE material. I can bet my money that half of the ppl here didnt kno that IE had 2 singers be4 Barlow joined the band xDDDDDDDD

  • Jon Schaffer has a new project called Sons of Liberty. Anyone who is an Iced Earth fan should check it out, it's awesome!!

  • This album is a lot like The Dark Saga, slow, powerful and epic. Matt Barlows voice fits this style perfect! They are my fav albums along with Horror Show.

  • Such a good song!

  • Love their drums, mostly.

  • i agree with Gadeto

  • Oh they have become so bad!

Only Barlow is as good as always!

Compared to Burt Offering times, this is children's garden music!

  • Bro, this is pro haha, i actually enjoy this just A LITTLE BIT ( i said A LITTLE BIT ) more than the rest... all their songs are pro... My older brother saw them with Atreyu and into eternity with out me, oh and all that remains... that bastard din't tell me, and i got home from school and he had left and i dint know about the concert =[

  • "Mankind's dishonesty Lays them to waste (I will divide) I am the truth, And I walk alone Human hypocrisy Exacting their fate (I will devour) I am the truth, And I walk alone" \m/ O_O \m/
  • badass drums

  • The only decent song on Crucible of Man...

  • Agreed.

  • and the intro:)

  • no way dude.

  • i ahv just heard them and i love them

  • omg badass album cover

  • well horror show may be their most "intense" album, but "Burnt Offerings" is their most... infernal one. i am aware of all kinds of metal (from power to black :D), but if you listen to burnt offerings and read its lyrics (which ones are truly straight from hell) you shall see that iced earth is not a power metal band (as most characterize it), but a UNIQUE band. just compare the night of the stormrider with burnt offerings and you ll see the range of music that schaffer can create. HAIL!!!!!!

  • You said it, dude!!!

  • @AngelHolocaust666

"Burnt Offerings" kickass. I first got into Iced Earth with their epic song "Dante's Inferno" \m/

  • @AngelHolocaust666 horror show was fucking stupid compared to their other cd's, about the only good song on there was Wolf, it wasn't intense at all. though as stupid as it was i still bought it and enjoyed it :)

  • @AngelHolocaust666 Burnt offerings has one of the greatest riffs i've ever heard.

  • @AngelHolocaust666 true i think they`re a melodic metal band, with tuch of trash and death metal. they`re unique because they almost create a new brand of metal which still doesn`t have any name but one thing is for sure, THERE IS NO METAL BAND WITH SOUND CLOSE TO ICED EARTH CAUSE THERE IS NO SINGER LIKE MATT BARLOW

  • @DHSNAKE Fuckin' right. Matt was a Rockstar. 'Nuff said.

  • Can't get much better than songs like this. 10/10

  • Oh my god this song is badass!! I've been getting into Iced Earth lately ever since my boyfriend made me listen to Pure Evil. Another amazing song. So far I must say they're pretty kick ass and i really like them.

  • man, if you think this is wicked, check out their older albums; especially horror show. quite possibly their most intense one. another good idea would be to invest in the blessed and the damned, a compilation album of their greatest songs before the glorious burden CD. just a tip :P

  • Thanks for the advice. lol I'll be sure to look into it.

  • Horror show and Glorious Burden are 2 of my favorites

  • u welcome to one the best band ever!!!!!!!!!

  • Metal at its best!! Love this Band

  • I am the truth, and I walk alone.

I am discovering Iced Earth. And I am loving every second of it.

  • im right here with you, my cousin gave me a iced earth shirt a while back and now im finally listening to them, and i love it

  • @trexilll nice one ;) there an awesome metal bacn when you start listening to them and get into them :D

  • this is the first new barlow stuff i heard and ripper could never have beat him like Nekritogr i never liked the ripper era but i plan to get more into iced earth now with barlow back

  • To be honest i have all the Iced earth's cds , The ones i didnt really like were from the ripper era. Only a few songs there were to my liking . But thats just me . IE forever

  • I LOVE IT ALL :D!!!!....even with Ripper Barlow is MUCH better but you gotta admit it gave something different from the Iced Earth Formula :P

  • im right there with ya creed, IE are just godly, dont hop on this page to QQ at the true fans of a truly good band <3

  • you know what i anm so fucking tired of people saying oh this isnt as good as their old shit well ve vbeen following IE forever and they havnot put out a bad album i love this abum and all other albums if you hate even one album your not a true IE fan

  • very well said man. IE is the best underground band ever

  • you're completely wrong ... if you criticise this album that means that you're not a true fan ?

  • Exactly!!!!!!!! :D

  • Seriously, they've put out albums that weren't as good as older albums, and they have also put out albums just good as their older ones, but they've never put out bad albums.

  • I listen death and thrash metal and Im not big fan of heavy, power bands but couple days ago my friend gave me IE and they blow me away!!!

  • BADTHEFUCKASS

    need i say more?

  • lol, you dont seem to have listened to IE

  • They are much older than BFMV! -.-'

  • and much better

  • go take your fucking punk band shit off this page!!!! They sound nothing like BFMV!!! Either your a metal fan or your not....there is no in between!!!! \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/ \m/

  • @metalmaster012 im confused r u sayin iced earth is better then bfmv or the other way around??...or r u callin iced earth punk music?...ur comment confuses me...O_0

  • @Blackdeath093 It confuses me too -.-

  • @metalmaster012 bfmv sucks ass

  • @metalmaster012 nice

  • @metalmaster012 BFMV is metal, not the same genre of metal as IE. Metal is divided into many different sub-genre's. therefore you nor any metal band have the right to call another band "not metal"

  • @metalmaster012 dude...i Like metal, punk, rock, and classical. its not that hard to like various genres and its not the most unheard of thing ever. I do however agree this doesnt sound like BFMV at all lol you have to have alot of drugs in you to get that lmao.

  • @metalmaster012 Um the only thing on this page is Iced earth. I don't know what you're smoking but i'd lay back if I were you.

  • @SweetOdinsRavens comment was 2 years ago :p. some retard was comparing them to BFMV or some shit. I agree with him!

  • fucking awsome band!love them...barlow's voice is fantastic, but in fact it used to be better in the past..to every new iced earth fan, listen to alive in athens album(1999)...u will get addicted!:P

  • What a voice...!!! Motherfucker, i love that sound...!!!

  • Burn i hell is NOT from judas priest, Twisted sister did Burn in hell, Dimmu borgir did a cover on it

    /a reply on Schaffer1984´s comment

  • judas priest has a song burn in hell too but its not cover!

  • Priest has a song called burn in hell

its from the ripper era i think jugulator but im not sure. check it out its a great song

  • The original "burn in hell" like covered by Dimmu (and others) is from Accept an has, beside the title, nothing in common with priests "burn in hell".

  • First time i hear that song...AWESOME!!!

Realy dynamic, hail Iced Earth and power metal

  • Mankind´s dishonesty lays the to waste!

    (i will divide)

    I am the truth

    and I walk alone!

    great song!!!

  • nice

  • AWESOME!

  • Yup this is one awsome album really great, now i need framing armageddon too damit.

Although I miss their bit more old various style, question of heaven, creator failure,dracula....

  • no you dont get it with matt instead ( i m not sure where to get uit seperate pther than the lit pack of crucible of man

  • I must agree a bit to cardinale19's opinion, this new album is as good as the whole Metal Scene, but the baddest Album for Iced Earth... it's too weak for Iced Earth.

Okay... I Walk Alone is a great song, but the other songs from crucible of men is bullshit for IE... I anticipated something harder or faster... an album just like Something Wicked This Way Comes... But I'm happy that Matt can still sing the old songs like Burning Times :D

Lets wait and hope for the new Album!

  • any thing with Matt is better than ripper

  • how....? hes got such an amazing voice

he can't write songs...i agree he can't write at all

but the guy can sing amazingly.

  • In Icead Earth, Mr. Schaffer writes everything. The only thing i like with Ripper is Burn in Hell. He does his job, but isn't as good as the people he replaces. Hell, he is a professional he CAN sing amanzingly, but i like Matt more, and i listen to Iced Earth since the first album. Gene Adam and John Greely were good, Matt is good. But Ripper, meh, i don't think he is that much in Iced Earth.

  • opinions right? i donno matt can't sing any of the stuff ripper did with iced earth. its painful to listen to.

  • Burn in hell is from Judas Priest.....

  • lol matts amazing. but ripper did the band justice in his absence. and this new stuff....meh i dont know it just doesn't hit the spot

  • OK I need to know! and quickly too plz....

    The crucible of man! or

    Judas priest Nostradamus...

For a new album? plz gonna order now

  • Crucible Of Man FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • this song is so fucking badass

  • Yeah 3 feb in Tilburg...awesome!! man this will be a great rock night including Saxon!!

  • lucky. saxon dont tour the usa

  • Sure they do m8! only one day...

20.08.2009 US Algona, Iowa Rock Gone Wild Festival

    Cheers!

  • 3 feb in holland :).. i cant fucking waittt...

  • Iced Earth used to be pretty solid, but after hearing their last album (which was pretty average) and this new album (which is a 3/10 and so generic) I'm off the bandwagon. Matt Barlow is a great singer, but even he must be doubting himself after this effort. Try listening to night of the stormrider and burnt offerings then this and u'll see.

  • Dude this Album is Good. Different But Good. And if You Dont Like it Then Dont Listen to it. its Not a Hard Concept

  • i agree ive listened to both i have yet to get Stormrider but i do hear the difference but i think theyre are both very good.

  • @cardinale19 I agree, Matt is one of the best metal singers imo, BUT the songs on this record is rather booring... Jon lost his way in all the flag-waveing american patriot crap after 9/11

  • BARLOW IS BACK:-)

  • this song iz amazing.....i love the chorous! they sound alot like pyramaze.....what ever...they both rok the f***ing world!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is alright nothing too special

i'd have to say my favorite iced earth album was the dark saga

  • Yeah this Was a Good Album. but I Agree it Wasent the Best. In My Opinion the best albums They Did were Horrorshow and Burnt Offerings. TheDark Saga is Really Good to Its Just Not My Favorite Album thats All

  • @massivemcdougal Yeah, Dark Saga nr 1 - Horror Show nr 2 (imho)

  • God I MUST buy this album!

    Thanks for upploading, dude!;)

  • This song was the first I ever heard of Iced Earth's newest material. When I heard it, I hoped the rest of the album would be more old-school and thrashy. After Framing Armageddon, which only stood up due to Tim Owens powerful performance, I should have expected dissapointment. Just like science fiction, both Framing Armageddon and The Crucible of Man have a slightly artificial feel, veering away from IE's gritty metal image. Looks like time changes people, and Jon Schaffer is no exception.

  • this band is epic in the purest form

  • its pure embodied win.

  • in purest form...

  • The doomy tempo of this song is so epic alone.

  • I love this band. Awesome song

  • This is Iced Fucking Earth!!!!

    They so fucking rocks.....

    Mathew God barlow, welcome back!!!!!

  • The perfect words!

    ;)

    !!!ICED EARTH!!!

  • nulla da dire, Iced Earth fantastici come sempre

  • AMEN

  • The Gods.

  • Bellissima

  • awesome!!

  • I really love this song!!!!!

I love the chorus/me encanta el estribillo!!

    WHOOOOOOAAA!!!

  • Iced Earth 4 life.

  • never untrust yourself brki
