Wow, some of the parts that the banjo player is doing in this song is pretty amazing. Almost like a jazz improv progression. Very impressive!

...They're from the city next to me (Lake Orion) so they seem that extra bit special, if you will.

It's really cool to see these guys as popular as they are. Stashed away somewhere I have a twine-bound copy of I Am the Water You Are Pumping signed by the band. I moved away from the Ann Arbor area a couple years ago and they'll be coming to town pretty soon.

I agree. I might like them more because they are unknown (hard to explain). However, I really like them, and I want to show them to everyone I know and I want other people to like them. Do they have a lot of fans around, where, Northern Michigan? I'm from Maine, not really a fan of bluegrass, but i stumbled across them, and they're great to play outside. I love their outdoor videos. Their lyrics are a little hard to understand, sometimes, which is actually a good thing.

They have a lotta fans in Ann Arbor, MI. They recently played a show at the Blind Pig and packed it in pretty tight. They're all really sweet folks too. Great band.

@JYouker They have a good amount of fans in the Lansing area, where I am and where the band met (I think). But, as everywhere else, they're eclipsed by Katy Perry or whatever the new "hot talent" is in the college bars.

They're amazing. I was fortunate enough to see them live at the Loft a few months ago. I hadn't seen so much flannel in one room since the 1990s!
