  • you must heat the water to make simple syrup properly!

  • I thought it was completely random when he explained how much a "part" was, But he read my mind because i was just about to post that same question.

  • cool

  • that looks good :D

  • "So that you can effectively rim the glass"

I didn't realise this was a class on anal play

  • @jamesemmett1

    hur hur hur.

  • Great recipe! Will have to try this. Just did my own recipe for a perfect margarita on my cooking show "cook with adam"

  • I;m making these fro Christmas and getting fucking wasted.....cause it's Summer here!!!! suck it!!

  • "one strong tap on the side of the mixing glass."

    *hits it twice.*

  • The classic margarita is not on the rocks, If you like it with ice do it frozzen in a blender.

  • ice take whit hand ?

  • yeahey now i have my presentation in my bar laboratory

  • "You're just gonna give one strong tap..." *taps it twice*

  • 1 cup sugar + 2 cups hot water. disolve the sugar and add 2 cups fresh lime juice. bottle it and use it instead of sugar syrup and the lime juice much easier and still fresh!

  • Instead of messing around with measuring jiggers you can just learn how to speed pour. It is just a accurate as using measuring jiggers if done properly, you'll save time and you will actually look like you know what you're doing instead of looking like an amateur.

Also, did this guy just scoop the ice with his bare hands...?

  • you talk tu much bro.

  • two taps

    shake it with a grin

    does he have a clue

  • Nice! I use the entire lime and instead of simple syrup I use 1 shot of organic blue agava. Nice video

  • This is a faggot margarita, the real one has no syrup, more tequila and no ice in the glass.

  • @AmokBR your recipe sounds like a country western margarita!

  • haha this guy is comedy!!! So clueless!!

  • It would be nice if they had just put the damn recipe at the end of the video or in the description......

  • 'We'll give one strong tap' *taps twice*

  • Shake with great vigor...HAHAHA comedy.

  • you gave two taps

  • It's called a MEXICAN ELBOW! Arghhhh, so many things about this video annoy me, and that is one of them!

  • @fizzypopbp1 I think thats how he gets the ladies to leave him extra tips ;) lmao

  • wow :) you can check out COCKTAILDRINKRECIPESdotNET for more cocktail recipes!

  • great video!!...i learned a lot!..

  • fresh ice meaning not the same ice used in the shaker,

  • it takes forever for this guy to tell you something

  • Great educational vedio. Thank you

  • This guy...

  • Light syrup + lemon juice = Lemonade???

  • hahaha "shake it with good vigor" this guys the man

  • lol funny/weird face at 2:06 to 2:13 :D

  • He looks like he's hella happy when he shakes it.

He's probably thinking "Im doing.. Im doing it!" Haha

  • I can't stand the taste of salt in this drink

  • I love the way he says "...doesn't HAVE to be made in a blender..." like he's talking to a bunch of 5 year olds. But with people's drinking habits these days, I understand. People don't understand what classic cocktails are anymore.

  • Hey, it's Paul Rudd!

  • @Babybloo96 lets start a bartending buisness and beat this sucka lol

  • can u use normal liquor? cause i havetn seen orange anyware on the shop :D

  • and what about the glass?

  • Im gonna spend one day trying out all of the cocktails i can find so taht i can see which one i like the most :)

  • expensive mix..

  • @deathxe5 any real bartender will use a jigger. free pouring is for douchebag bartenders that gauge successes on the amount in their tip jar, not the quality of there drinks.

  • @Vicbartender1990 ...real bartender use jiggers? lmaooooo

  • @deathxe5

Yes, real bartenders use Jiggers. Stop being terrible.

  • @Paperstar real terrible bartenders use jiggers.

  • thansk for making the effort to post such a quick and informative video. appreciate it

  • I long for the days when bartenders would make drinks this way.

  • Margarita on the rocks???

  • Gah, please don't say "1 part = 1 ounce" like it's a universal conversion!

  • @MrDelirious he kept it it short and simple for easy understanding. if he were to go in depth abt metric system and US vs europe and blah blah....then the quick answer to the question: wtf is a measure when he is saying so wldnt have been answered.

  • add fuck to the margarita :)

  • Yeah just about any drink with patron is good. And just about any drink with expensive alcohol in it is good as well

  • hahaha this is not best way how to make margarita, but you made me luff :))))))and ist over pour because you didnt strain the whole amount in the glass

  • @sallinero ppl who know a lot wldnt be too quick abt saying comments like u boz only if u knw too much u wld knw there is room for variations.

  • This was depressing...WAY too sweet.

  • @janlevibronx

I agree - what's with the sugar syrup!? bleeuucchhh ... [puke]

  • Your on The GADGET SHOW

  • remember.... rim the glass

  • Pineapple juice, orange juice, lime juice and guava fruit and mango nectar in secret parts then add 3 parts tequila and a splash of coconut extract over ice. Then blend.

    Garnish with mint, and lime.

    Oh yeah!

  • every time he enjoys shaking

  • I can imagine the old spice guys saying: "Shake it, with good vigor!"

  • They''re not "jiggers". Now we say "jegros".

  • i luv his exquisite vocabulary haahhahah

  • why i can't sending a coments ???

  • This is an excellent recipe...thanks!

  • That was two strong taps :P

  • never use premium tequila in a margarita. they are fine on their own. Stick to sauza or hornitas hell even jose is you have to. jeez this guy wants to show off making a $15 drink. and as for the grand marnier just stick to triple sec. cointreau is great too but come on just stick to the basics.

  • profesionista!

  • I like my margarita better...I call it the Margirita Siesta ...Its Jose Cuervo Margarita (pre-mix) and a 750 mg Vicodine........iiiiiiiiiiieeeeeyyyyyyyyy I dont condone drug use

  • You use new ice for the drink because the ice in the shaker will be fairly small and will end up melting faster and you don't want it to end up being too watery.

  • his smirk reminds of george bush's smirk

  • its fine..

  • classic cocktail

  • haha, he smiles awkwardly everytime he shakes.

  • @zysteemi why would that be? hehe..

  • are margaritas from mexico?

  • @anomaesewey well whatever it is.. isn't it enough to get that taste while drinkin.. i watched tons of vids & every vids has sth different.. this world is just a lie we got 2 rise above hehe..

  • cool recipe but you talk too much.

    :)

no offense, the info was good.

but i just wanted to know how to make the drink. im not looking into being pressured to buy anything.

  • shut up and learn somthing!

  • omg !!!! drinking it at the moment this shit is sooo good !!!! ( i was asking my self if teqila gold is ok and lemon liquer insted of orange ... hell yea !!! try that shit boys !!! )

  • lmaoo@

ashah1980 hahaha yeah i noticed his smirk lol annoying but funny

  • I loveeeeeeee these things!!! I like the way it tastes. I rarely drink but when I do I drink margaritas

  • i've watched this guy in several videos, anyone else notice the stupid smirk face he makes when he goes to shake the drink?

  • @ashah1980 At first I thought this was a stupid comment till I seen him shake. Man that smirk is annoying, what the hell is his problem?

  • Yup. Makes me laugh everytime.

  • Does anyone buy the mixes? I'm lazy...I've tried a few but use Purista because its all natural.

  • LOL bald spot!

  • simple syrup is like sugarwater? you got to be kidding me

  • no that is exactly what simple syrup is, once you heat it..the water evaporates and there you have it..simple syrup..(ok bye)

  • god he looks rele wierd when he's shaking it, a type of sexual prowl look

  • @fizzypopbp1 typical >:) face

  • Fresh ice ?

  • Lol. He means ice that wasn't used to mix the drink. Clean ice.

  • @BeccaRob93 There is such thing as old ice, brah.

  • @BeccaRob93 he means not the ice from the shaker. Using the ice from the shaker will dilute the cocktail faster since the ice has been broken into smaller pieces.

  • @BeccaRob93 yeah FRESH ICED.... not the ice you already had used!

  • @BeccaRob93 lol, watch the video again. the drink is poured over fresh ice after being chilled during the mix.

  • @BeccaRob93 He means ice that hasn't been sitting in your freezer for a long time. When ice sits for too long, it picks up strange flavors from the freezer, and can actually ruin your cocktail making it taste really REALLY strange.

  • @BeccaRob93 apposed to melting ice :P

  • Being a little naiive here; is packaged lime juice acceptable?

  • yes. i never use fresh limes to make my margaritas lol. i either get the stuff in the little squeeze thing or the bottled stuff.

  • is it the same? doesit taste goog?

  • bastou ele falar os ingredientes, fiquei com vontade

    :D

  • Try replacing the simple syrup with agave nectar.

  • thanks for the recipe! :) very helpful!

  • Hangover Free Cheerzarita (WITH Tequila)! -- Click CheerzUSA link.

  • sorry but this isnt the old fashion margarita

  • where is salt?

  • This recipe looks just like the Skinny Girl Margarita by Bethany!

  • mmmmmmmmmmm i think its time to start drinkinggg

  • ahh why does the drinking age have to be 21 :(

  • uk rules...

  • Move to denmark, here it is only 15 :P

  • wow ; people just need to watch the videos & that's itt . . lol .

    well it's a great recipe , & the margarita looks delicious : )

  • HE gave 2 strong taps and not 1... to remove teh glass

  • Recipe is correct, but don't use simple syrup or any sugar, the drink will taste nice without it. I use triple sec curaçau that is a bit sweet, so I'm not sure if Grand Marnier is dry and needs a bit of sweet, but a delicious margarita shall not taste sweet, it's a lot better if it has just a tolerable citric flavor

  • Forget what all these other MORONS wrote. This is a great recipe. EXACTLY the way I make mine and I've been doing it for over 30 years as a Pro. I've been told by many that i make a better Margarita than the local mexican restaurant in town called, Javier's! All you get there is tequila and sweet & sour mix. GROSS! Great job! Check out my videos just search my name, Dan Vincent......Salude!

  • thanks for the advice

  • Dan Vincent is the man!

  • simple syrup realy that shit will give u a crazy hangeover if u dont get sick before u get that far

leave out the syrup and it will be a good drink

  • LOL@him smiling while shaking it.

    Cheers for the upload!

  • jesus what expensive spirits to put in a margarita

  • shite

  • Look at how scary he looks when hes shaking it.

  • 1.5 tequila,

    1 Lime.

    1 Cointreau.

    No Gomme/Simple syrup....

As for the salt it depends on the quality of tequila, Patron needs not....

try adding a little Agave syrup in place of Cointreau.

  • this really do suck.

  • this really DOES suck....does...D...O...E..S...does. No worries for the grammar lesson.

  • I always love when people critique other people on a highly educated website like this...oh wait this is youtube! come on man get a life.

  • OK, a 5 year old could easily state "This really does suck" and secondly, there is nothing wrong with the recipe, and I dare say that salishahaynes could not make a Margarita anywhere near as good as the one in this video. Yes a simple typo is OK (eg. dos instead of does) would be plausible, but writing a crap comment in general and with the grammar level of a 2 year old is concerning...

  • yeah i know it is but it really could have been a typo or some sort of mistake. i dont you are probably right though but still you dont have to correct a person in such a demeaning way.

  • Forgetting to put two letters on the end of a word isn't a typo...it is intentional. I probably wouldn't have said anything if he said "this really do rule", but when he's criticizing the work of someone else (when it's a great recipe) and does not have an adequate grasp of the English language I will respond to it.

  • The best margarita has Cointreau in it...the best triple sec available.

  • u stink and u suck mister...

  • He looks like the happiest person while he's shaking the ice. Lmao

  • @xXBabyMLXx You ABSOLUTELY can do that! LMFAO

  • @xXBabyMLXx i would be really happy too. love it

  • I am a bartender, and too make a regular margarita we do not use Patrone Silver unless it is specified with the drink order. Patrone Siler is an expensive tequila so of course the price of the drink would go up. It is common courtesy to ask what tequila they would like to be used in the drink because you do not want the customer to be surprised at the price of the drink.

We usually call it a Patrone Margarita when we specifically use Patrone Silver.

    Great explanation though!

  • it has to be triple sec for a margarita, grand marnier is cognac infused with orange, that will taste terrible

  • no its actually not

  • yes it is, gran marnier is a blend of cognacs infused with bitter orange essence.

  • i ment to say its actually not tha bad lol

  • sorry. if its not that bad i may try one with gran marnier then! lol

  • indeed, dont like the glass neither...

  • I just made a habanero pepper margarita :P

  • Where's the flair??....We want to see those shakers flyin' brother!

  • Fresh ice.. where can I buy that

  • it means that the ice shouldnt be sitting in the freezer for more than 24 hours *lol...

  • Also, be sure to shake it with "good vigor." Mediocre vigor isn't going to cut it.

  • awesome vid...all are excellent recipes.

  • I just made this recipe tonight. Unbelievably easy to make, and unreal good. Thanks!

  • one quick note- the triple sec you use doesnt really matter a whole bunch on taste, but the tequila you use will. DONT USE JOSE CUERVO! It will kill the flavor of this entire drink.

  • jose gold isn't that bad if your on a budget IMHO

  • i have to try this...i have my own recipie and everyone whose tried it so far has loved it.

but yes fresh squeezed stuff will make it better.

  • now thats a frozen concoction that helps me hang on.

  • dude, that takes forever

  • why does this take long? he makes it in its most simplified order. Freshly squeezed citrus takes more time but is essential for a better end product.

  • it not about speed it about how good u make it

  • As with so much in life my friend ;o)
