I just saw this, but it's easier and faster if you clamp it wherever you want the curls to start, and just pull straight down.

Hey great video, but i have the wide ghd straightners, the plate is about 1.5 inch, but my curls come out a bit too loose and they start curling from my cheeks onwards. So am i doing it right? or does it only work with narrow plates such as 1 inch wide straightners? Hope you can help, thanks.

naah it doesnt depend on the straightener i have two kinds of strighteners i have one just like this girl and a really skinny one i tried both of them and it looked the same so ya it doesnt depend on the striaghtner.

Actually it does depend on the straightener size....a 1 inch will give you tighter curls, and a two inch will give you bigger curls

OK So, It depends on your hair type...

Thick hair: You need really high heat.

Thin Hair: Not as high.

I would get a curling Iron, the best are like $100, expensive but they work really well mine is called x5Superlite. It was 150 but it works SUPER well.

The other thing you'll need is hair spray, to hold the curls in place. I use TRESemme: Curl activator spray. You can get it at like longs or somewhere like a drugstrore.
