Anthony's voice is awesome and unique, he'd be the first to tell you he's not an amazing, classical singer, but it's perfect for the chili's and they wouldn't be anything without him (or any of the other members)

Josh doesn't has the intention to be a John-replacement. How would you feel? Josh is a more subtile player, quit and calm, whereas Frusciante was someone who loved funky melodic riffs. In fact, if you play their songs from IWU, you'll see that Josh also uses Funk al the time - in fact, nothing has changed. It's a good lesson for them - everything, almost everything came from John. Flea even said that, during the By The Way album, he felt that he could do nothing compared to John :)

@rn4n63r he played the violin-like intro and then looped it and layered it so it would continuously play, which he programmed into one of his pedals (don't know which one, but it's probably a Looping Station or something like it). so, since he programmed all the different pre-recorded layers, all he had to do was hit the channel (on the pedal) the loop was programmed to, so it would playback while he played rhythm.
