  • good stuff man....kkep up the good work!!!

  • @MrTBaez Thanks!

  • i was just wondering what kind of lighting did you use

because me and a group of people are making a horror film and were wondering about lighting because we want to shoot it in the dark but not have an obvious giant light showing

  • @MrMatttully111 I'm very low budget as well so I use clamp lights which you can get real cheap at any hardware store and also a work light 500 watts or more that you can use for outdoor/exterior shots. Gels are great too if you want to color your shots and add mood. I used green gels in this film which you can fasten over the lights. The best bet for outdoor lighting at night is to mimic moonlight so color temp blue 1/2 gels work well over the lights.

  • Did the cameraman get scared at 3:03 like the rest of us? I love the green, was that in grade or on camera? What camera by the way? Close quarter zombie films remind me of Virus on Mulberry Street. Looked real as fuck when the head got smashed in. Good shit! Make more of these!

  • @ThePsychwardFilms Thanks for the comment ;) The green was created with green gels and then enhanced in editing. We used a Canon HV40. I want to see Mulberry Street, I think that's the same director that did Stakeland which I also want to see since I love vampires. I did jump at 3:03 when the banging on the door started, the door got knocked off its hinges from doing so many takes...LOL.

  • very decent effects.

  • @septogram7 Thanks :) tried the best with what we had to work with...lots of food products.

  • not very original really :-( 1/10

  • sounds like that dude needed a good shit

  • @jadeee6671 LOL

  • Great job with the atmosphere. I thought it was a little slow moving but otherwise not bad.

  • @SubliminalKarate Thanks, I like the slow burns though. ;)

  • love it! i hope the zombie movie im working on now turns out as well!

  • @LetMeSmashYou Glad u liked. Very messy film to make. Send a link to your film when it's done. ;)

  • Great make up. Loved the opening titles as well

  • @3BrainProductions Thanks! I love doing horror makeup but this one was a bit messy.

  • Very engrossing and well done.

  • @QueenLioness84 Thank you...good to hear! :)

  • Very cool. It's clear you put a lot into this.

  • @HungerCultFilms Thanks! Did our best with what we had at the time.

  • YO THIS FILM IS PRETTY GOOD THE NAME OF IT IS ALSO MY NICKNAME LOL

  • @SuperSMOGSTER Thanks SuperSMOGSTER! :) Awesome nickname...how'd you get that?

  • your smoggies looked cool how did you get the slime look?

  • @reallydarkfilm 1st I put a layer of Blithe Spirit body paint on their skin with some black cake makeup for shadowing then I covered their skin with Apricot Preserves that I had dyed green with food dye.

  • Very cool short! Thumbs up!

  • Great work

    M.V.B Films

  • how did u do the head smashing effect???

  • @albertansportsman learned that from Lloyd Kaufman. I used a cantaloupe then carefully hollowed it out, spray painted the outside white, put a wig over it (the same one the 2nd smoggie wore), then filled the cantaloupe with raw hamburger, blood and cranberry sauce. It was supposed to explode but I had the wig on too far...oh well. I then attached this fake cantaloupe head to a fake stuffed body with a fake hand sticking out of the jacket sleeve.

  • could u tell me what the music stuff in the background it .. its not really music but its like u know the score

  • @Daultonsworld19 That's not easy because it's a blend of different stuff and most of it was then changed further with sound effects. I would find sounds that I like either from SoundSnap, The Free Sound Project or SoundDogs and blend them together, etc. to create the overall score.

  • So amazing! Your awesome!

  • @yournotrandom Thanks, you r 2 for liking it. :)

  • Why didn’t he instantly close the door after killing the first smoggie?

  • creepy and well done!

  • Great job, Owen! Can't wait to see what you do next.

That sound it made when he hit the smoggies with the bat was so gross!

  • Nice work! Very Brutal and Gruesome.

  • This was really good guys!

  • @LycanBre Thank you!

  • cool film dude......

  • @steshining Thanks!

  • This is pretty well done over all. The green lighting reminds me a little of the original fog movie and also works quite well to set the mood. As it is short, the main character does not get much development, but he is someone you can kind of relate to, sympathize with, and feel bad for in the brief screen time. The concept reminded me a little of the original Return of the Living Dead and they Smoggies did look a bit zombie-like. As a horror fan, well done and worth watching. Good job.

  • @DesMuttYS Thanks. The concept came from my idea of combining two of my favorite films John Carpenter's The Fog and Night of the Living Dead. It was a blast to make.

  • That was gross.... I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!!! Zombie movie are always the greatest. Looking forward to the next one.

  • @1lomax Thanks. Every once in awhile I have nightmares about losing my teeth (I don't know why I take good care of them) so I thought why not have him vomit a few teeth, etc.? A local dentist supplied us with the props, LOL.

  • VERY WELL DONE!

  • @mooreentstudios Thanks!

  • @DeadFi Thanks! I'll be posting some clips/trailers of my long in progress microbudget feature film soon too. It's what I describe as a "gothic horror puzzler". Looking forward to hearing more about your TZ styled series as well-sounds great!

  • Very nice!

Loved the 'transformation'! Very Romero-esque overall.

  • Great Job Owen!

  • Fucking zombies !!!!

  • @owl1970 You mean 'Fucking Smoggies!!!"!
