  • The ability to change language is because I imagine the phone will be used in other countries besides the US.

  • I'm sorry if I'd be offending you fans. But I seriously don't like any of the Blackberry phones. Ugly and not attractive at all. I'm only here to tell you this and don't even watch the video. Seriously, people use BB for the BBM?

  • does anybody know when they will release blackberry device that supports flash ?? Or whether this model will be compatible with flash through any updates ??

  • Can anyone tell me what is the difference between a 9850 and 9860? And does this phone work well with youtube or netflix?

  • Pleas please please answer this question..... Does this phone work well with youtube and netflix?

  • Am I the only one who actually enjoyed the click on the Storm devices? :S

  • @SammH421 yes.

  • @SammH421 I liked it too.

  • does anyone know if rim will release a white 9860?

  • Is this phone worth buying besides all the samsungs? I have Storm and its getting slow and I got used to Blackberry's and this one is looking nice!

  • i hate that phone sooo much ! , its ugly !

  • Changing languages has been useful to me, but only when I require those symbols. Normally this was only when using the Storm, but ever since I got the Torch I used it a bit less - The dedicated symbols button does the same job.

  • I have it.I love it but i just bought it and the battery life only lasts a day and they keyboard is kinda annoying. You also cant turn of spell check which annoys me the most cuz im 14 and i have random made up words that i type wen im casualy texting my friends and it always changes them which is annoying. The side keys shoul be allitttle bigger and itd be nice if there was a keyboard but besides that its a great phone.

  • this phone looks nice but at the end of the day iphone rocks

  • bb is business phone.so strange for me to see those expect video call for it.ask this, how many video call we do annually really?

  • I want this fone

  • this phone looks good, but i think it lacks the functionality of keyboard blackberry's. i would never get one. i prefer my 9900

  • @raskarl agreed!

  • Does this phone have Haptic Feedback?

  • Soo the keyboard won't vibrate when you text ??!

  • no keyboard on it.. only touchscreen but it has trackpad.. such a silly phone.. i bet the trackpad is useless

  • any types of blackberry do not offer video calls, so if u want to get video calls, use iphone or anything else which is supported 2 cameras back and front..

  • the best fone out of all of em trust me guys u'll get satisfactition

  • One quick question, im using the torch 9800 now. And im quite dissapointed that i cant do video calls. Do any of the 0s7 devices offers video calls? Skype etc

  • I change language every other message. Switch between english and spanish. I think its a good feature.

  • SHIT PHONE, BOLD9900 B)

  • No top comment.. my chance xD

    Hi... :)

  • I change two or three languaje when I write to my friends, so for me is very useful.

  • my sgs2 will eat this shit

  • This phone is really great. It blazingly fast! I dont see why it would need a dual core processor. Trust me its really really zippy

  • @Cowshitbullshit guess with dual core it would make this phone amazingg !!!!

  • What kind accessibility features does this have? I am visually impaired. Please Help.

  • New bold is 1million times better... :L

  • STOP SAYING UUUUUHHHHH Makes you sound very unprofessional!

  • Well obviously it to change language so u can make use of it if ur in a non english country ... Not everyone is the same

  • this or a nokia 3310..

  • no if its all touch why is there a trackpad.....thats stupid

  • @1234flipflop the trackpad is essential for if you want to highlight an option without clicking/ selecting it. I find it useful for my torch which, to me, is all tough cause i never use the keypad...

  • @1234flipflop ..I thought it was a little redundant as well, but I find it handy for some things...like scrolling around through text that I would like to edit. a lot easier than using the touch option..

  • See i know youre canadan so ill type in really simple words.

    DOES IT HAVE 3G?

Plz answer it without getting confused.

  • I'm still getting the 9930.... There's nothing like a real keyboard, plus you get touch screen included.

  • i will get this if it has a Sky Go app??? does it??

  • the screen is plastic do u notice a difference sinces its plastic and most high end phones are glass?

  • can you actually turn off the hide keyboard option. ?

  • this or torch 2 ???

  • Web browser looks slow

  • @thinewelshman what do you have?

  • Can you change the keyboard to the SureType keyboard? Cause whenever it comes to blackberry I love my SureType keyboard and I love the Phyiscal Qwerty Keyboard too! :D

  • @buddha2me Yes you can. I originally read on the forums that it wasn't available anymore (which would've been a dealbreaker for me), but was happy to find out that it's "SurePress" that's gone, and not "SureType".

SureType is still alive and I type even faster on this new phone than I was on the Torch 9800!

  • @Bonjour43ma I actually miss the SurePress of my old Storm, I found it a great help to the clumsy typing that I have...I could always slide my thumb over or slide to a blank spot and pull away when I made the usual error in letter selection (or for anything, not just typing) it was like a last chance thing that I don't have anymore with this phone... I will have to get used to it I guess, ...so I don't accidentally start the wrong app, that sort of thing was impossible to do with SurePress...

  • @angusandleigh ...I just found it a lot more accurate than the iPhones and Android etc. touchscreens...

  • How do you like the phone

  • "1.2GHz processor that RIM is including in all of their latest handsets" - False.

Their new Curve 9360 has a 800MHz processor. Speaking of, when are you guys reviewing that one? And how does it compare to the 9870?

  • @oXoAeternooXo Yeah, sorry, the video was recorded the day before the 9360 announcement. As for reviewing one, Rogers will be hooking me up shortly.

  • @IntoMobile Perfectly acceptable mistake.

Can't wait for that video. I would only like to know if you are going to compare it directly to the Bold 9780, despite being a Curve phone. They now both have a 2.44" 480x360 screen and, if I'm not mistaken, the Curve has a faster processor with the "Liquid Graphics" and BB OS7.

An expected price would be nice as well.

I hope I'm not asking too much, but I'm looking for a BlackBerry to try it out, and the Curve seems very appealing.

  • @oXoAeternooXo there isnt a 9870 blackberry and of course the curve has a 800mhz bckuz it is a lower model and always have been

  • @damu4rm409texas I meant the 9780, the updated Bold 9700.

  • @oXoAeternooXo F- you buddy

  • ITS NICE ...

  • sprint offering it for 150 is it a good deal?

  • Not as popular

  • Not liking the keyboard. Think I am going with the 9900 or 9360

  • First, bitchhh

  • I don't know, I have to change languages a lot when I type, that'd actually be useful to me. But then again, how many people do this >_>

  • @IxYamikoxA He's American...he probably only knows english. For europeans it probably happens more frequently.

  • @Goremaster I'm just putting this out there, but I'm also American XD just saying

  • @Goremaster Actually, bilingual Canadian living right on the border with Quebec. Even if I had more French friends, I could get by with long-pressing the keys to access character accents. Since Europe sticks with the Latin alphabet, couldn't they do the same?

  • @IxYamikoxA So far 6. LOL

  • I'd get that

  • 1st!
