& one of the snares is hot.

    :]]

  • i love how you guys make me post comments for you... haha :)

  • Cyms kick ass. You guys do some super sick stuff that no other school does.

  • The center quad is super sexy.

  • The center quad is sexxxxay!!

  • i didnt like this show as much as fairfields... fairfields snares (and pretty much the whole battery) were a whole lot cleaner throughout the season. I only think that foothill won because they have a bigger battery and pit... the clarity throughout the battery just wasnt as good as fairfield. Oh well... Great job anyway foothill.

  • I dont think that its the size of the percussion that made foothill win. It's the level of demand and clarity among that demand that made them win.fairfield had 3 snares 2 tenors while foothill had 5 and 3.- meaning it took much more effort for foothill to clean up those notes. Level of marching for the foothill battery was alot more demanding also-like marching 230 bpm for the last song..

  • i know that foothills pit is better because they have way more players to cover/double alot more parts and put alot more artistic add-ons into the melodies, that they played.

  • Of course for a bigger line its harder to clean it up and + the exposure to error but i'd rather have a smaller 3-2-5 extra-clean line rather than a 5-3-6 line that plays quasi-clean

  • I thought foothill played a cleaner show at championships...not just "quasi-clean". Also, I still don't see as much of a challenge or level of demand in fairfield's show than i do in foothill's. Not just in cleaning because of the size but the level of playing and marching in both pit and battery for foothill is much harder in things like tempo, level of music, etc.

  • I really haven't seen fairfield's pit play nearly as hard stuff as foothill's pit does. Having more players in Fairfield;s pit wouldn't have won them a championship bc they still won't be playing as hard of music.

  • lemme put it this way... I'd take fairfield's battery and foothills pit if there was ever a fantasy draft for winter percussion

  • Also, foothill has a really strong pit [not just a "large" pit] under ed cloyd's instructions/writing and I don't think that fairfield's pit was as good I'm definitely not saying that fairfield had a bad show bc they also had a very solid line with nice clarity, but I think that Foothill pulling off that much demand and clarity on top of the size of the line made them deserve the championship-not just getting it for having a large size

  • What i would like to add is that if schools that dont have as many players (i.e. fairfield) actually had enough players so have a big line/pit , they would have been pretty much up there if not better than foothill. I also believe that fairfields clarity throughout every section (esp. uppers) is better than foothills. By more than a point spread.

  • i dont agree that its foothills size of the battery and pit that made them win. foothill had a much more demanding show and even with more people they were able to pull it off. also, foothill has a much stronger pit- much harder music too. for battery, foothill had 5snare3tenors while fairfield had 3and2. foothill played clean even with the large size and they even marched 230 bpm. i consider than winning with skills to pull off such a challenging show- not with a size.

  • ...and foothill has gotten champs in 2002 also with their work day show

  • 2005 was fairfield's hypnotic champs show

  • This show could do some serious damage in WGI
