hey bother you are the canteen cup alcohol stove king this runs really smooth and efficient...nice work brother......gets yourself up here so we can test this up north,lol..
@ridebks The very first one was a smaller Altoids. I did a stove with the larger altoids tin but didn't video it. It does work and lots of room for alcohol. It just built up to much pressure and the flames were higher than i wanted. But it does work good. Just be sure to use a good bit of JB weld around the top and the hinge to seal tight.
@BadCoSurvivalist Thanks man. Glad you like it. If you have any question feel free to drop me a line. Something I didn't tell and forgot to post is the amount of holes. Think I had 20 holes. I'm' going to be trying 26 to 28 to relieve a little pressure in the new stove. Think I had 26 in the first one.
@BadCoSurvivalist One other comment, I'd move the holes in away from the edge maybe 1/4" all the way around. That will make it even better. I going to do it to mine just haven't had time.
I've accepted this as a video response to my video. I've seen this video and thought I commented, I guess YT had other ideas....LOL. That is a really quick boil time, fastest I've seen. It would be nice to see what you made this from and a short description as to how you made it. I like the pattern of the jets, that should help it burn more evenly. I like the wire supports you made for the canteen stove shield. I've got some new stove videos coming out soon. Thanks for sharing & Take Care :-))
@SurviveN2 Thanks man. No telling what YT did. lol The only reason I didn't do a vid while I was making it cause I realized that the Altoid Can I used was no longer made. But I'll give you a description. No big secret. Its made from Altoid Gum tin. I just JB welded the lid shut. Caved in the tip with my thumb and put 22 of the smallest drill holes I could find. Matter fact I broke about 6.......lol Put some fiberglas string around the bottom for priming. Rods are (st stl wld rods).
really nice job bud, quick boil imo, I use stainless as well and it can take awhile for the heat to penetrate...it's not hi tech or light, but I like to avoid aluminum cookware...infact 'santa' got my kids aluminum canteens last year, I sent them 'back to him' for bpa free ones, lol, just not into eating/drinking off that stuff...you did a great job, the flame pattern is sweet...I'm subbed to SE, so I'll be on the lookout for his mods, he does build very nice stuff as you mentioned (thumbs up)
nice job reep....ive always thought about making one for my canteen cup.....the SPAM cans are aluminum and have the right shape....you have given me a new idea....inverted double walled spam...or maybe just carbon felt...lol...
@ReeperzOutdoors ...when you get a chance try it....it allows the alcohol to vaporize better...flame is bluer and thus hotter.....good stuff...pricey..but good.
I love it. And I love my ugly old homemade stoves. If you cram it full of fiberglass insulation it'll burn longer, probably increase the boil time, though. Great demo! I'm thinkin' one of them Camel Snus cans would work great. Thumbs up.
@briargoatkilla Thanks! Ugly stoves always work good, funny how that works...lol I didn't even think about the fiberglass inside. Thanks for the input. I'll have to try that and see what happens. That would be the only thing close I think. Thanks for watching!
Good video brother I do like your stove, we will see what we can come up with in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully we can come up with something that would meet you approval. ;-) Nice job though!
Nice one ! Looked real cool!

The space inside the canteen cup stand can accept two penny stoves made with beer cans. I will try "red bull" cans which are smaller.
