He's playing a Mark VI, not sure about the mouthpiece. But here's the deal, if Kenny Garrett was playing on YOUR setup, your sax and mouthpiece, even down to the reed and lig, he would still sound like Kenny Garrett. Tone is way more in the player than it is in the horn and gear, get the sound you want first, and then get a horn that gets it even better. But the sound has to be there first

This is kickin'!!! I play trumpet but I learn more from the sax players. Trumpeters tend to do two things 1) Play like Miles Davis and 2) Play high notes.

this is "just" chris dave on the drums... one of the main "jazz" drummers... not jazz but just a great artist musician whatever you want... he's young and modern.... maybve you're old and traditional.

Ithink the band was great Kenny Garrett is awesome and the drummer I think was very good too, he has a great style of his own. I love the things the Piano player was doing with the rhythm. Hey Dude ..Yeah this is a typical jazz mic configuration setup. Bass drum,snare drum and 2 overheads. Would have been nice ti hear what the rack and toms sound like but thats the way it is at some jazz festivals.

Still the kid nails the tune . I like this quartet. Peace
