@oregonisboring school is where you learn about most of the stuff in the real world metaphors and similes are apart of it and apart of movies,books,tv shows etc.. Like you thought she was shot on stage when in the movie clearly stated what happened & showed what happened... "Selena Quintnailla Perez has been shot allegedly by Yolanda Salvidor who met up with the singer at a Corpus Chrisy motel"

The concert where Selena is singing dreaming of you and she doesn't catch the white rose thrown to her is a metaphor for what happened to her at the motel. The white rose being Selena and Selena's career being her singing on stage. The rose fell just like her life did. They did not want to show the brutal details of the motel becuase it would upset the fans and the family
