Haha, I have to agree with you there. I remember this advert well even though I was quite little when it came out. Novelty songs aside, most of what was considered bad in the 80s wasn't that terrible at all, esp if we compare it to the unimaginative tripe churned out today.
man, the 80's were a nasty decade. too much makeup and hairspray...I mean, wow. that was my growing up decade.. too much purple. too many bangles...oh, how I miss those days of yore. LOL
Yes. It was created in the 1930's by Rowntree. It is currently owned and manufactured worldwide by Nestle, except in the US, where it has been licensed by Hershey's since the 1960's. We're screwed out of the good stuff over here!
This takes me back---Gavin Richards as the manager. He went on to "Allo, allo" where he played the Italian commander & 'Eastenders'. Thank you so much for the clip.
Hi Frankie great to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed the ad it was real fun to be in was on telly every night for ages. We did 112 takes of it in a day and I dropped the drumsticks once. That was the one they used!! I don`t think the track was ever released maybe it`s time to get the band together on X Factor! Of all the things I did in those days I did not have acopy of this one so it was really good to see it on youtube the fount of all knowledge.
