  • Jedward

  • Real Kit Kats with tin foil and paper wrappers.

  • kit kat doesnt even need a commercial now because there so well known

  • this is just like x factor.

  • @mrcmiller11 Yep. KitKat should sue Simon Cowell! He quite obviously nicked the idea for X Factor off this ad!

  • This guy needs a fucking CAT scan.

  • jedward and simon cowell?

  • do dey still have kit kat commercials

  • holy shit its been a long time since i seen a kit kat commercial

  • What is the name of the song and who sing it?

  • Thats my dad! This advert embarasses him...

  • Really!?

  • for real!!!

  • the composition and arrangement of this tune is more interesting than the melodies of today.

  • Haha, I have to agree with you there. I remember this advert well even though I was quite little when it came out. Novelty songs aside, most of what was considered bad in the 80s wasn't that terrible at all, esp if we compare it to the unimaginative tripe churned out today.

  • They are in fact singing Alien Invasion..

  • It started in late 1982 ended in 1984 then came back at the end of 1988 for a few ad breaks would you believe...

  • When did the "Give Me a Break" ads start?

  • you can't sing you can't play and

you look awful and you go a long way

yes indeed and an funny advert and gavin richards is in no way relation to wendy richards was in allo allo and duty free

and he was funny in this ad and it is a fave of mine 20/10.

  • are they singing asian invasion ... coz it sounds like it...lol

  • Actually, its Alien Invasion - What On Earth Are We Going To Do.

  • They are indeed singing Asian invasion! And that prophecy is sure coming to fruition around here!

  • ^_^

  • I really want to see the one with the angel and devil ."Mornin!".

  • If that band came out today theyd be huge.

  • a classic!

  • I knew Simon Cowell wasn't an original...he got his comments from this guy!

  • Ahhh.. the 80s were soo fun. Was kit kat from the UK?

  • Yes. It was created in the 1930's by Rowntree. It is currently owned and manufactured worldwide by Nestle, except in the US, where it has been licensed by Hershey's since the 1960's. We're screwed out of the good stuff over here!

  • never thought id see this again, excellent cheers

  • "You can't sing, you can't play, you look awful..." Love it!

  • sir , i can see you

  • LOL yay Gavin!!! He directed a play I was in this year!

  • This takes me back---Gavin Richards as the manager. He went on to "Allo, allo" where he played the Italian commander & 'Eastenders'. Thank you so much for the clip.

  • have a break have a kwik crap!

  • Hi Frankie great to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed the ad it was real fun to be in was on telly every night for ages. We did 112 takes of it in a day and I dropped the drumsticks once. That was the one they used!! I don`t think the track was ever released maybe it`s time to get the band together on X Factor! Of all the things I did in those days I did not have acopy of this one so it was really good to see it on youtube the fount of all knowledge.

    Good luck, Chris.

  • the birth of Simon Cowell?

  • Most probably. All the hallmarks are there. Mike S.
