Orion is a legend and idol for most of my friends in tricity Black Metal bands in Poland. I don't have anything against Nergal ,but most of my friends do. It's some perdonal stuff from times when he was young mostly ,but Orion is an example to follow for them ,in every way ,musically ,image etc.

BTW: It's funny when you look at them ,and Orion is about twice as big as Nergal and half more than this journalist.

well Nergal is a huge part of the black metal scene. in the early nineties, it was much different than it is now. Black metal hated Death metal and vice versa, kinda in the same way as both of them hate deathcore. nergal was just on the black metal side and like most, used to be elitist. black metal was seen as whiny satanic clowns and death metal was a bunch of ogres burping on stage. the two don't have a war against eachother anymore, but that's just how it was back then.

In Poland buying someone's CD is for many people like a greatest tribute to band so 4 days after premiere it was signed as a platinum disc in Poland, even it was only 10.000 sold, but as for Poland and mentality of most of Poles it's great one.

You know why they're so good? Because they're less bound to make pop music. Sure, they need to take care and gaining new fanbase, but it's pretty much the easiest fanbase you'll ever have: as long as you keep brutal, your fans will love you.

And, back to the songs, Inner Sanctum can get kinda boring at first, then it kicks in, then goes weird again then solo, which is amazing. I didn;t like the guest vocals that much though, but it sure makes a masterpiece no doubt there.
