@Tittytacos Great swords are still good, you just need to not let them touch the ground in your sweeps and your fine. and yes they do have a rage mode but it only makes them do moves extra eg- Rathian usually hurles one balll of fire at you, but in rage mode she hurles 3

@Jkhrad There is no way to go there other then doing a quest that requires you to go to that place. Only in moga forest, you can go to without doing quests. So if you plan on going to sandy plains or flooded forest, just choose the easiest quest that requires you to go there, get the materials you need and then just finish the quest....hope that helps :P

if ur a sns user like me try using a poison weapon that way even when ur not hitting him hes still taking damage from the poison, thats what i use when im the only sns user on the team, the rest bring the hurt and i bring the poison :-)

@WiiSage Exactly. SnS is the utility weapon. Add a bit of element or status damage to your teammates (who are probably LS, GS or HM users 90% of the time).

I just CAN'T beat the online Barroth urgent quest! I've tried it multiple different times with different people. We always manage to severe the tail and remove all the rocks on his body, but he always runs away then rages and kills us. D: Any suggestions? By the way, I use the sword and shield.

@CaptNintendo171 Well the best thing you can do even before the fight starts is to bring all the right tools: Cleanser/Waterblocker Seed (for the Mud), Potions/Mega Potions, traps, etc.

If you're getting hit a lot, try hit-n-run tactics. Works great w/Sword and Shield. Jump in, get 1-2 hits, then jump out. Every hit counts. Keep trying, that is most important of all, you'll get him.

Barroth is annoying online; he does SO much more damage. He's only weak to water when there is mud on him. Fire when he is clean. Also, his hands are his weak spot of impact damage.

Barroth has been giving me some trouble. I can beat him without too much difficulty, but severing his tail is really, really annoying. I bowgun as well, so (on my best run) I brought thirty Slicing S, along with the mats to make thirty more. I hit the tail on about 80% of the shots I used, and it still wouldn't come off. Have you had this trouble at all? This only applies to offline mode. Also, why are you not using Water S? It's his weakness, and your gun has rapid fire with it.

@uragoodperson Yes, IMO, Slicing S is only good to use when w/ a team of blademasters, as it takes almost all your shots to cut.

Please forgive my noobness w/the BG in this vid, I still had much to learn. By now, I am much better w/it and I understand the mechanics much better.

Oh hey, tips, for impact weapons (BG) the arms are the weak points. Also, next time bring water and fire shots. Water for when he's covered in mud and fire for when he's not.
