No you won't. Depending on the positioning of the horn, there's always something between you and the horn. Some locomotives, it's right on top of the cab, which actually makes it quite soft, comparatively speaking. Yes, new K5LAs are quite loud, but they're not loud enough to make you go deaf unless you're dumb enough to blast yourself in the ear with them.
