  • é a melhor musica que ja ouvi na minha vida ... tanto na versao do guns quanto essa .. as 2 sao fodas ... a do guns é mais massa .. mais essa tbm nao fica pra traz !! essa musica é espetacular !

  • exelente!

  • EPIC HEROES!

  • Guns N Roses just sucks in general. The fact that you're comparing them to the Dead Boys is fucking ridiculous. The only good thing associated with GNR at all is the Fartz.

  • @methodairmoshpit i guess thats your opinion but i quite like the cover

  • guys I'm glad you like the guns n' roses version, but can ya give this version a little respect?

  • I prefer Axl's voice

  • @migaspinto Axl didn't sing the G'N'R version, Duff did.

    And this version's better :p

  • @TheThing88 Sounds like Axl, but alright xD

  • @TheThing88 actually, in GNR version the lead vocal was made by Michael Monroe (Hanoi Rocks) with Axl providing backing vocals

  • The GNR version sucks my lower class ass :)

  • where is replay button?

  • I really like this, but the G n´ R verson is mutch better!!

Slash ´s guitar, duff and Axl ´s singing and the band is better!! But this is pretty good too!! :-)

  • @IpwnU0300 Guns & Roses is for vaginas.

  • @fffffcccckkkk WTF!? G n´R is the greatest thing that ever happened to rock n´ roll music!!!!

  • @IpwnU0300 You're a fucking moron

  • @methodairmoshpit Okey...

  • gnr one is a wee bit better

  • Have any of you heard rollins band cover this its miles better than fucking gnr.

  • @MrHello435222 Not heard Rollins version, but a sure it's better than GnR, although I doubt Rollins really "gets" this... it's a drug thing.

  • @stutaggart It's not just drug thing, it's whole life thing, about being an outlaw and reject of society...

  • @stutaggart Listen to the gnr version. It's impressive.

  • no this isnt the original but its the better version in my opinon the pain and sincerity in stiv bators voice is trancending punk lives!

  • this version is NOT the original,Rocket from the tombs did it first(before anybody complains I know RFTT split into dead boys and pere ubu). check out RFTT`s version.way, way better in every concievable way!

  • I was only a little tike when these guys were rockin, but I know now that they were real pioneers, not the first (but only after The Stooges and MC5), but definitely pioneers. Dead Boys should have been bigger than the freaking Sex Pistols, but Sex Pistols had a big mouth (John Lydon) . Squeeky wheel gets the grease I suppose. Anyway, I think Dead Boys get the vote for doing it right in America, and early on.

  • R.I.P STIV!

  • almost the same

  • :esta version es mucho mejor q la de guns and roses :D

  • i came here because i want to find out about the band good enough to attract Guns 'N Roses attention

  • @MrCr0wley ME TOO

  • fucks sake if guns n roses wanted to cover this they shouldve done it in there own time, instead of subjecting me to it

  • just a cunt....

  • great one

  • yeah this one rocks ass

  • The original song is from Rocket From The Tombs... This is also a cover...

  • @ezek226 Cheetah chrome was in rocket from the tombs, so in a way it isn't a cover. It is like if Lou Reed played Sister Ray. I have no idea who wrote the lyrics but Mr. Chrome was the guitarist so that is surly his work. Just saying man.

  • @CCFugitt The lyrics were co-written by Peter Laughner and Cheetah Chrome. Peter was the one of the founders of the Rockets, whereas Cheetah joined the band later on. When the band splat, Peter went on to form Pere Ubu. Only Cheetah and Johnny Blitz joined the Dead Boys.

So I wouldn t say that it is like Lou Reed with Sister Ray since Lou Reed was the co-leader and singer of The Velvet Underground and the only writer of Sister Ray.

  • @CCFugitt ...and Peter Laughner was the lead guitar of the Rockets.

  • @CCFugitt Yea but in this version, Jimmy Zero played lead guitar, Its in Cheetahs book!

  • Haven't heard this song in such a long time.. good shit

  • i'm here because i love the dead boys.

  • @infamouspimp82 Agreed, I'm here because I like their music, as opposed to following some radio DJ's directions. Cheers!

  • this song goes perfect with some weed :)

  • es genial esta cancion!!!

  • @thejeffgordon24fan Yeah theyre the greatest band ever for their homophobic, racist and sexist lyrics. Not only that but it took them 14 years to make their new album and it sucked anyway. And they think they are the best band ever which makes their egos even bigger.

  • @TheTrainRex i have respect for some people with egoes because i understand how hard some of them did worked to get there ,talented people despite the type of music they play , there is so many so called artists that i trully fucking hate they're just buffoons and entertainers that's all they are ,not artists but entertainers , not talented , but the opposite or people with real luck that there's a lot of people in the world that they don't fucking care what they listen to ,

  • @TheTrainRex those people are the reason why there is a lot of stupid buffoons on tv,maing money i can make a fucking list of people with no talent making millions of fucking dollars justin bieber,50 cts ,all rappers in general, the jonas brothers ,brett michaels, kanye west, puff daddy, kid rock, emos, lil wayne, again all rappers, jhon mayer, nickelback, limp biskit, backstreetboys fag bands, bon jovi, justin timberlake, and a bunch of other shit that makes me want to throw up

  • Stiv Bators went on to form The Lords of The New Church ... check out 'Open Your Eyes'. Stiv was notorious for his stage antics which included jumping up and landing on flat out on stage and breaking ribs and other body parts (reminiscent of Kurt Cobain in the Lithium video !)

  • All respect to these guys for writing such a cracking tune. I rarely enjoy covers more than an original version, but I am I the only one who thought this track was the stand out on The Spaghetti Incident. I find the GN'R version very sensitive and even darker in tone than the original. Also how many of us looked this up only because we heard and enjoyed the cover version first. Be honest, thumbs up if you agree.

  • @Nabou1 G'n'R were probly only pretending to be dark. Axle rose is a wife beating, dead mocking, inconsiderate douche who has now idea how to be sensitive.

  • @TheTrainRex STFU GUNS N ROSES AND AXL(EVEN THO HIS CHARACTER ISNT THE BEST) IS THE BEST BAND EVER AND ALWAYS WILL B THIS SONG SUXAND GN'R MADE IT GOOD

  • @thejeffgordon24fan Honestly, I gotta disagree. I've never been much of a GnR fan. They've definitely done some good work. But Stiv's got a lot more soul for this song. Think about it. This came out in the middle of the Punk movement. The Dead Boys all came out of the Cleveland gangs. These guys were tough.

  • I think the Doctor sent us here just to get tripped out by that wacko fade-in up there.

  • Dr. Death Defying, youve done it again...

  • Doctor DeathDefying!

    hahaha :)

  • Dr. DD FTW!!! x) <3

  • Like if you were sent here by Doctor DeathDefying!

  • dr. deathdefying sent me here!

  • Dr.D sent me here!!!!!

  • I think the reason Dr. Deathdefying sent us here is because he is a radio DJ, and he's doing what radio DJ's do, giving his listeners music, and maybe, the songs he choices for his listeners are chosen for a reason, because they match what's happening or they fit with the style he puts across in his channel, for example, classical music channels play classical music, so rebel music channels play music that put across the message.

  • haha

    Dr. Deathdefying....

  • Dr. Deathdefying sent me here!

    signed Saint Sleepless

  • Dr. Deathdefying sent me here!

  • Well, at least we know that the Doctor hasn't been caught by BL/ind or, in the worst case, ghosted...

  • The original and the best.

  • Im learning not to question Dr.Deathdefying...

  • Comment removed

  • Like this is you got sent here by a certain Doctor.... ;)

  • exactly whats he trying to do...im asking why too

  • Sent by Dr Death Defying... what now? ;)

  • Dr. Death Defying, you sent me here... why?

  • What it is? Dr Death Defying...

  • @xItsumiNaokoHawatari look up MCR songs then the Dr.Deathdefying listening party. then that will answer your queston :)

  • Dr Death Defying, I wish i could figure you out.

  • hi Fluo Cyanide here, and yes, Dr Death Defying sent me here to.

  • Dr Death Defying... why'd you send me here?

  • i find it amazing that people keep slagging off GN'R purely for covering this song.

why don't you just see it as a good thing that they obviously liked the song enough to even bother covering it in the first place?

oh, & i like both equally.

though in my opinion the Guns version was heavier. but thats just MY opinion! don't flame me for saying that :P

  • @rrrihal gnr iis the best fucking band in the fucking world and actualy made sumthin of this song gnr made it sooooooo much btr

  • @thejeffgordon24fan No, GnR were the best band in the world, they washed up since axl became the only original member

  • @xXRynaldoXx well ya ik tht they suck now but ya they wre the best band ever and it will always be lik tht

  • @thejeffgordon24fan erm, GN'R is my favourite band.. whats your point? What I said is still the truth. Just cause they're my favourite band, it doesn't meant I'm gonna think that everything they do is right.. & re-read my comment. I didn't exactly say they suck now did I? This version is just as good as the Guns version, it just depends on the person..

  • @thejeffgordon24fan Yeah right!wanker!!

  • i like gnr cover its more heaveier and raw

  • GR8 FUKN SONG-GR8 FUKN BAND

  • your all pretty fucking gay. just enjoy the fucking music.

  • @BoulevardTrash99 Shut your fucking mouth and enjoy the music.

  • Comment removed

  • lol dude this is nothing compared to the cover that gnr did.gnr made it great.this has no power.

  • @ubn00b Looks like you has no power. Compare the legacy of dead boys (They're one of the pre-hardcore acts) to your faggots hairy wankers of GnR. They're a bunch of rockie-satar cunts. What genre GnR influenced? When audience mocked the dead boys they counter, when they bother GnR they leave the stage crying and complianing like the actual fags they are. Now STFU and go watch youyr stupid mtv ya cunt

  • hep-c,end-stage liver disease, dialysis&vomiting huge amounts of blood-NOT fun.I'm trying to outlive the doctors prognoses but I'd just as soon get run over by a taxi in Paris.cheetah is only warning those of you who indulge because she now wishes that she'd quit right after the fun stopped-before she became just another whining junkie...been clean 11 years+and am now dying.Young.

  • I know this sounds pathetic but, I'm really sorry cheetah ... :(

  • I like both equally. I really mean that.

  • @zrhinier yeah same, its soooooo hard to decide

  • Liking both versions equally over here :)

  • hahaha i already know im dying young but waitng is such fun

  • great song!! you want raw listen to the rocket from the tombs.. want the best listen to this one...you want a newer sound then the gnr one is for you... just make sure you know your gonna die young!!!!

  • @fussion38

I much prefer the rocket from the tombs version myself. Good stuff, for sure!!

  • gnr is million times better, this guy barley sings, cant hear hes voice. he sings so low

  • @fnatte0 i agree! gnr rocks!

  • when crap is GOOD

  • i like the origional for its rawness

  • Guns N roses version is better in my opinion

  • @soteronuno yea agreed amazing song either way though

  • Let's say the cover by Guns is very good also. Axel's voice is still amazing... And we can thank Guns... due to them, much more people know this version and The Dead Boys...

  • It is criminal that this band isn't better known...

  • @habs13

Why? Would you be happier if this were in a car commercial?

Actually that would be cool, "Aint it fun when you know that you're gonna die young!", and then the Corvette goes tumbling to the bottom of the canyon...:-)

  • Guns N roses version is way better, still a good song

  • @stewartmc7: I bet you find the G&R version because your heard it first... And it indeed sound more "technicolor". But I'm sorry to say that the Dead Boys version is miles ahead - it may sounds a bit B&W, but has so much more emotion and feeling...

  • one of the best songs ever, in any genre of music

  • Comment removed

  • ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SONG !!!!!!!

  • FUCK GnR!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i call out whoever didn't like this song!

  • My vote 4, 1 of the most Punk Fucking Songs EVER

  • i wana make a video using all the pictures my mom has of stiv bators.. my mom pulled out a kodac dustcover and had mad pictures of stiv bators when he was in lords.. nasty suicide from hanoi rocks and black lawless from wasp... my dad used to open up for lords of the new church in his band Custom Pink..

  • @DinoVice COOL!!!

  • Probably the most"beautiful" punk song ever written! That picture of Stiv with the bloody lip is iconic!

  • One of the greatest. It's become an old standard.

  • oh yeah... Axel Rose Did Remake This SOng On The Sphegetti Incident huh?

  • Guns N'Roses versions way better!!!!

  • i think the gn'r has the anger that the song needs.

  • good song

  • way much better version of gnr than this

  • @jesha90 only reason i wachd this was bcas i wantd 2 c wat it sounded lik and 2 tell u the true i thot this was horrible gnr actualy made this song good

  • One of the best songs ever! By the way, Axl heard first time about Dead Boys during the Spaghetti Incident recording sessions. It was Michael Monroe who introduced him into this band when visiting in the studio and the result was a duet with Michael and Axl which ended to the album.

  • One of the best songs ever! By the way, Axl haven't heard about Dead Boys before Spaghetti Incident recording sessions. It was Michael Monroe who introduced him into this band when visiting in the studio and the result was a duet with Michael and Axl which ended to the album.

  • @htkari I find that hard to believe, before Duff McKagan was bass player for GnR he was the drummer of a hardcore band called The Fartz and after GnR played bass in side project bands with a music style highly influenced by this. Not only that, but almost all of the Spaghetti Incident songs are by old punk and hardcore bands, some of which are more underground than the Dead Boys.

  • to be honest the first version of this song i heard was the GN'R cover. when i was looking for the original i didn't know what to expect. what a kick ass song! GN'R really stuck to the original with this cover and i'm glad.

  • The original was actually by Rocket from the Tombs about 4 years prior to this release.

  • @sepherant phaaaa, Rocket From The Tombs is a proto punk band my man, that albums from 2002.

    Get your facts right

  • I preffer GNR's cover.

  • Why is everyone talking so much shit about GN'R? Of course the original is better, that's how it goes 95% of the time. I just say I have more respect for GN'R for covering the Dead Boys.

  • i think rocket from the tombs verison is the best personally but all of 'em are good

  • @tOyMachiNe365 Rocket from the Tombs wrote the song before some of it's members joined the Dead Boys . when Rocket from the tombs reformed they re-recorded the song .

  • This song is depressing.

    Fuck Gn'R, by the way.

  • @HaHaHamHammer

i am sorry to inform u that your a faggot who only listens to shit from guitar hero

  • Rocket from the Tombs --- much much much better. no way. you are right robin195959

  • it's just a kickass song. GNR did a good job with the cover. but the original is damn good too. just an altogether great song in my opinion.

  • Great song, the original here is good. I simply prefer the guns ;n roses version because it sounds a lot grungier with the guitar. I just love the grungy sound of it more.

It's rare that i'll like a cover more than the original, but this is still a great song.

  • Yeah,The GnR-cover is alright,I do prefer this version.

  • siempre aludimos a la versión cuando la original esta de puta madre!. a mi la verdad es que me pueden gustar por igual porque el solo de slash es de maestro

  • No offense to anyone, but I prefer the GNR version of the song over this one.

  • yet i personally thing gnr made a very good cover of it.. i personally think it's more suitable for us now.. the cover of gnr.. and i think the sound of guitar of slash and the sound of axl.. made the song more heavy and more heart taking !

  • Original song are always the best, this song is phenomenal much much better that the cover of GN'R!!

  • @kyopsis the originals isn't always better..... some are just plain crap.

  • @kyopsis only it aint the original . rocket from the tombs did it first and MUCH better

  • @robin195959 rfft is the same band just a name change

  • @slimanusify no they aint buddy check your facts. two common members.

  • @kyopsis I think that the song you hear the first u think better, generaly. At least its like that with me. U heard first the original right? :) Thats it. I like GnR version better, but -De gustibus non est disputandum. ;)

  • @kyopsis this ain't the original

  • @kyopsis

the original is better of course, but the gnr cover is acceptable....compared to their cover of new rose...that one alreday made my ears bleed!!!

  • es la destudio???

  • Yeah, it´s written by Gene O'Connor of R.F.t.T. who joined Stiv Bators to form Frankenstein, who later became the dead boys.

  • Yeah,I agree with the both of you....damn fine song!

  • Damn fine song!

  • This is actually better than the cover GnR did. Its done the way it should be:) Thx for upload

  • check out rocket from the tombs ORIGINAL version for how it REALLY should ber done.
