@lewrites LOL, funny story, that is how lemmings were believed to commit suicide. Lemmings do make mass migrations when populations get high in a certain area, but they don't run off cliffs into the ocean.  Some documentary filmers in the 50's couldn't get good shots so they captured a bunch of lemmings and then herded them and accidently herded them off a cliff into a river. I dont remember, maybe it was on purpose, but either way it probably saved the documentary, who wants to watch rodents?

im doing a project on bats as part of my degree, they are so unique and how they adapt to their individual environment is amazing! they are so sucessful and have a relatively low death rate because of all the adaptations they have gone thorugh over time eg: flight, echo-location, it annoys me that people are so scared of them! its a shame that they can't appreciate its unique design, i usually loathe projects and assignments but doing one of bats have been really interesting!
