  • oh man i would love to see donny in concert i still have a crush on him

  • @vivkyleotimm...here you go. I was at this concert in 72, and every other time they played at the Ohio State fair. I was 9 years old and attended the concert with my sister and friend. My sister and I were behind the girls who pulled Donny into the audience. I was able to touch his arm. Here it is almost 40 years later and I still love the Osmonds.

  • random comment about justin bieber

  • This video is really good. I was at that concert...was 12 yrs old! ha ha but still remember how fascinated I was with Donny and all the Osmonds.

  • i think donny can see several minutes into the future.......someone help me,help me please?!? ha ha ha

  • holy crap listen to all the girls

  • Love it how Donny has a huge grin on his face when he gets pulled into the audience xxx

  • I love this with a passion <3333333

  • Thats what Donnys wife Debbie probally looked like as a young girl, the blond girl in the audience.

  • @MegaEvalee that was donnys wife lol....dont forget he was a mormon and they take em young in that religon!?!

  • Meh,not very good

  • I WANTED YOUNG GIRLY SOUNDING DONNY!!! I CANT FIND ANY OF HIM SINGING LIVE WHEN HE FIRST RECORDED THIS SONG!! but hey, he sounds cool when his voice is low. =D

  • It's funny to watch a "Justin Bieber" of my mom's generation ...I'm more of a Jonas fan myself but regardless I can't picture her as a fangirl lol..but that's part of the reason she was very sympathetic to my Jonas obsession a few years ago and I almost got to meet them..Grandma is awesome, but never did that for her:P

  • the best

  • @vickizspace Don't know where you get your information but those three were huge "international" stars in the early 70's. Especially David Cassidy. Plus they did it in an era without the help of Youtube, twitter, facebook, or any other modern technology. If you consider what they did have to work with at the time I'd say they were much more popular in comparison.

  • @vickizspace I'm from England, but I've not heard of Mormon before, also I wasn't around in Donny Osmand's day I'm only 15, I didn't realise what he was like I've only heard his music before.

  • @vickizspace

I was actually saying that Donny Osmand was in a higher league than Justin Bieber but as I read back I can see how it can be understood differently and what is Mormon? I haven't heard that before what does it mean?

  • Wow... those girls were gonna pull him into the crowd, and perform "puppy love" rape on him...

  • his mic looks like a dildo... love to stick it up his ****... fucking twat

  • All because of singing with his brothers he got into music is did ana amazing job on Broadway, playing Joseph for over 2,00 performnaces over 6 years and doing the Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat movie and later Oliver

  • Dude, he almost got pulled in!!!lol!

  • i would like to see more Ohio State Fair programs under the night sky! :0)

  • i love how all the brothers just laughs when they pull donny up . haha!

  • Donny Osmond Lovers....This goes way back....PUPPY LOVE

  • I still think it's amazing that he still sings this song in concert to this day. Donny is so handsome.!!

  • This music had a sweetness, a charm to it and an innocense which is sorely lacking today. Now they sing about big booties & asses, crack hos and drug dealers and call it contemporary music...BS It's still garbage wrapped in gold lame paper. You can dress it up all you want but it is still crap.

These guys are actually harmonizing & the band is playing real instruments.

  • @DA90027 Well, like him or hate him, Justin Bieber songs like "Baby" or "One Less Lonely Girl" are pretty much today's exact equivalent of this in terms of image and lyric content. Then you have bands like The Jones Brothers who sing harmonies, write the songs, and play their instruments. If you want a group of brothers who do all of the same, do a search here on YT for Kropp Circle.

  • What beautiful song.

  • Of ALL of the Donny YouTube videos I have watched, this one is still my VERY VERY FAVORITE. I love it when he is almost pulled into the audience. What I wouldn't have given to have had front row at that concert.

  • @vickyleotimm This is one of my favorites also, I enjoy the live performance at the Ohio State Fair. I think it would be so cool if the girls that had tried to pull him into the audience, saw this video on here and responded with their memories of that moment.

  • @BigTerKC I wasn't one of those girls but I was there and remember it happening. We were about halfway back on the track, standing on our chairs & screaming just like everyone else. From where we were, it looked like Donny had a harder time breaking away than he did....LOL I love these videos, brings back so many wonderful memories!! Somewhere I even still have Mrs. Osmond's & a very young, SHY Marie's autographs on a Budweiser sun hat. : )

  • Donny, that song never grows old.

  • they are all brothers too?

  • @mj18girlforever1 Yes, they are all brothers.

  • I was at the OSU Fair in August of 1977 and saw the Osmonds. Donny and those purple socks, lol. I was 9 years old, and remember it well:)

  • Comment removed

  • That's right. Justin Bieber and Donnie Osmond both have same similar faces and voices. So maybe if Justin's old he'll be like Donnie. The Osmonds were quite cute and now all members have had grandchildren.

  • Swoon

  • Awee... I love it, I have always enjoyed listenning to the Osmonds and the Jackson 5. Two very different groups similar in some ways, constantly compared... No one group is better than the other in my opinion there is enough room for both. I gotta say though the Osmonds are great intertainers, always talented beyond their years, true professinals. Gotta love them

  • Donny almost got pulled into the audience, when he got back to his feet he kept singing and did not miss a beat. That is what that family was all about, they were true show men. I am so blessed for getting the chance in my life to her them. By the way Thank you Gentle men and Lady for the great childhood, It was great.

  • donny osmond is actualy pretty shambolic. Michael Jackson embarrassed him silly with his aweosme singing and dancing. Donny was just a pretty boy

  • this is to much.lol

  • My first love when I was ten - and I still love him! Real talent endures!

  • to this day i still love to hear donny osmond sing and he looks great, i still catch some of his shows on tv, even with marie, and he was good on dancing with the stars!

  • @BiebersShawtys

Incase you are wondering from my last comment... I am not an old lady. I'm an 18 year old who was taught to respect greatness. And not to compare babies with legends.

  • @BiebersShawtys Justin Bieber is great but, I never thought the day would come when someone would compare Justin Bieber to a young Michael Jackson or Donny O. You little kids are bold. Donny & Michael did it without internet or youtube, or all the mind games & gimmicks the labels use to suck you kids in. Without autotunes too. If Justin pays his dues and last 25 years from now you will have the right to say this to some know it all 7-16 year olds.

  • Well, I'm a 49 year old male and this beats the crap out of the garbage they call music today!

  • @DA90027 Yep i agree, music of the 21st century, isn't in the same class as this.

  • @BiebersShawtys seriously, Shawty's?? Bieber is just this Millenium's Osmond. and in the future, there'll be someone else....that's just how it goes!

  • Thank you for posting this video. I loved Donny so much and still do to this day. He is just the best. I remember how the Osmonds were at the Allentown Fair every year and I kept begging my dad to take me to the fair. They would never come to the York Fair were I live. Finally after years of begging he gave and we drove to the fair. We had no tickets and did not know where the fairgrounds were. We found them and I finally got my dream of seeing Donny. I've seen him since and I love him

  • Yep, Donny definitely was a dreamboat...still is I suppose, but not like back then...sigh

  • i love donny in this video.

  • Donny wearing Elvids outfit LOL SAswoon

  • haha i can see why people love Donny, my mum's a massive fan of his and he has got a very nice voice but i love alot Justin (as you can see by my user name) so obviously im going to think he's better (:

  • OMG my FIRST love....♥ ♥ ♥ thanks for posting this! :)

  • LOL... thanks so much for posting this!!! I LOVED this song when I was a young girl...

  • i love this song " and they called it, puppy love!"

  • was always a donny osmond fan and still is grew up with him remember him being in tiger beat oh ya sexy man

  • Thanks for the great video. I love Donny always. I would have been 10 when they had this show. I remember as a young girl begging my dad to take me to Allentown for the fair. I always wanted then to come to the York Fair where I live. Well after many years of begging he finally took us. No tickets and no idea how to get to the fairground. We sat way up in the grandstand and I yelled and screamed like all the other girls. Donny was and will always be my #1.

  • Justin Bieber of his day. lol

  • @ ramona7609

How on Earth can you compare Donny Osmand to Justin Bieber they are in totally separate leagues?

  • The cuteness & the fame (swooning of little girls) I remember when Donny was just as famous if not more famous then Justin & this was without the internet.

  • That is what I was saying Donny was much more famous than Justin Bieber.

  • The screams remain the same.

  • I was 6 and we were there (in the grandstand)

I think we even took some pics. The whole family liked the Osmonds...I think I even had a Donnie Osmond lunchbox (LOL)

  • i was two

  • Comment removed

  • his fan like pulled him into the crowd

  • I am in the lower left hand corner of the video at 0:18. LOL! Of course, I'm wearing purple. I was 12 years old.

  • This is still just as great as it was 'back in the day' thankyou for posting !!

  • Aha my mom is in love with this guy. She always wanted to see Dancing With The Stars to see him on it, and she's been talking about him lately so I just had to check it out. Ehh his voice in this video is okay. I really don't like the song. :P

  • @CatFlashBlue his voice has changed since he first recorded it and it is being done live try Donny Osmond- Puppy Love posted by glamslam74 its better then see what you think

  • @vinyl45junkie This only about five months after the single was recorded. You can hear how his voice had dropped quite a lot in that short period.

  • he just won dancin w the stars--he looks so young

  • i wish i could c him in concert in front row as a teen but thats too bad cause in 14 and hes not a teen anymore :(

  • What a great memory from my childhood! thanks for posting

  • He was trying to shake hands with his fans..right??

  • What a great talent.

  • This take me back to a time when things where simple

  • It was a time of total love...for him, for them and between us fans, pen pal clubs, meet ups at the concerts and hotels. Good, clean wonderful fun. We knew of nothing bad, we were the good kids...I pretty much remained that way all of my life. Loving Donny set the foundation of who I became to be.

  • He was 14, this was two months after the first time I saw him in Philly...

  • how old was Donny in these video?

  • He was 14 or 15. His voice is still adjusting from his much higher voice just a year or so before.

  • It is so cute how his voice had just broken here...I was such a huge fan...Donny Osmond and Michael Jackson were the best...!!!

  • to bad here arnt any good singers or songs like this today

  • his poster was on my wall - puppy love - oh to be young again - my kids are young now but it is so different now.....

  • I remeber seeing them in concert when they came to the Ohio State Fair. I loved it. I Got to shake hands with Jimmy and had such a big crush on Donny. Those were the good ol' days.

  • Boy oh boy, I miss those days!!!

  • all the brothers reactions when they pull donny up is hilaroius , they laugh at it .

  • @summersunsetsx4

OMG you are so right!! I love it! I wonder how many times the brothers had to do that during their stage careers?

  • @summersunsetsx4 yeah love the reactions too, those girls didnt get the chance to pull donny in the crowd with them 4 hunks behind him...:)

  • @summersunsetsx4 hahahahahahh poor donny! He was really scared! I laugh too!

  • Euphoric response to stimulated hormones. . . .

  • Too bad he didn't sing "Someone help me, help me, help me please" about 10 seconds later when all the girls grabbed him!

  • Yes, today I can admit it, his performance good have been better.

But he was my idol number one when I was a young girl. He and Cliff Richard.

  • Believe it or not my Grandpa introduced me to the Osmonds when I was in grade school. For awhile I lived with my Grandparents after my parents divorced. One day he said "hey there is this band all the kids like, lets watch them on TV tonight (Andy Williams, I think). I was then hooked. After that it became a ritual for us..every weekend he would take me to this little general store type place around the corner to buy Osmond bubblegum cards,M&M's and a Pepsi Light. My Grandpa was the best!!

  • What a cool story! That is how I discovered the Osmonds - my grandparents used to watch Andy Williams and by the late 60's I was thinking little Donny was so cute and a couple years later they showed up in the teen magazines and every week my dad took me to go buy all the new mags. And I loved Pepsi Light! Wish they still made that.

  • Yep, my Grandpa was so cute....another band he introduced me to was the Monkees....he was always trying to be hip to the times ;0)

  • @megan0239

    i met them several times

  • First time i made love as a teenager was to this song

  • The "incident" is clearly the hormonal onset of adolescence. His brothers seem to have found the incident quite comical.

  • Can somebody explain the incident from 1:56?

  • Donny was loved. These girls went bananas and unfortunately they did hurt him from time to time by pulling out his hair, pulling him off the stage etc.

  • How many of us weren't in love with Donny? I still am, and unfortunately those kinds of incidents happened quite often back then.

  • thx for the memories! from another 49 yr old :) (Donny is still hot!!)

  • Comment removed

  • Holy crap!...Donny was so popular that the moment one of these girls grabbed him (1:55) it started a frenzy where they all had to

You can see him thrashing while his mic's feeding back and he's being yanked into the pit of teenage piranas

  • I think that was me who was pulling donny down @ the end with a hand shake..lol

I diff. was there @ Every Osmond Concert @ the State fair . I am 48 will be 49 . Still Love Them til' this day

  • I was at their shows at the fair also. I never missed a KC and the Sunshine Band either LOL

  • He sounds alittle flat at the begining,But when yor 13 and a huge fan girls didnt hear the mistakes they LOVED him too much!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great video! Hes singing live! How many performers these days sing live. Those were the days!!!! Love me some DONNY OSMOND!!

  • Oh how i loved this boy! lol These days i have a much better version on my Ipod :)

  • I was there that day but I was clear up in the back of the grandstand.

  • i lve the osmonds. //

  • Love the Ohio State fair but hate COLUMBUS.

  • why is that?

  • To much crime for me.

  • hahaha you got that right...i'm gonna guess you live in newark. it's very quiet up there, my cousins live there.

Me, i DO not live in columbus for the same reasons. ; )

  • yawning or screaming-who cares. if she is yawning-its not boredom- it means she needed more air and I can see why. lol.

  • LMFAO Check out the girl at 00:54 I thought she was gonna scream like the girl going crazy in front of her....but no....this bitch is yawnin! Ahaa ha ha ha ha ! LMAO thats some funny shit!

  • She isn't yawning. She just screaming....

Have you ever been to a concert where white girls scream? They just yell to make noise. REWATCH the segment...she's yellin'

  • Why you bringin race in to this? Who said anything about white or black? And the girl IS YAWNING DUMB ASS!

  • @jaysono22 - she is definitely yawning at 0:53 and not screaming. You can tell by the way she finished the yawn - her jaw closes involuntarily because it's a reflex action. Obvious if you're looking at the right girl !

  • look you get over it what girl would not fall for a really good looking guy like donny osmond i bet you look like a pigs ass ha ha

  • hi cheryl,l dont think you realise but you missed a full stop after "get over it". l dont want to appear pedantic but you will never be taken seriously untill you master basic english.

  • im here

  • l sweety..wait for a bite...should have caught one by tommorow

  • hi eddie im sorry ok ' the message was ment for some1 else by the way im swedish

  • sorry cheryl l thought you was one of those american bafoons..by the way l love the meatballs at ikea!.l went right off donny osmong many years ago when l was a roadie for the osmongs.donny was always beating up little jimmy.one time donny poured sulphuric acid on jimmys head, all his skin fell off and he realy started stinkin out the trailor..ma and papy osmong were furious and gave donny a real telling off!

  • wow thats so awful ' because you keep on hearing all stories of how good they are

  • eddie, my brothers used to do that to me all the time, no big deal.

  • @eddietwang - only one "L" in until.

  • DANG!!! Those girls PULLED him in! any longer and HE would've been apart of the audience! that was insane!!

  • dude donny is te cutest thing and omg! just wanna hug him! but i felt sorry for him when he got pulled in!

  • From hearing him talk now, I think he kinda enjoyed it.

  • they sang live and had the recording as a background just in case. what do you do-- go to every osmond video site and try to demean them by repeating over and over that they lipsynched?

  • ahh all the girls are now aging housewives thinking this was the peak of their lonely existence. At least they have the Rabbit...such is life.

  • This brings back memories. I was at this concert at the Ohio State Fair

  • wow, what fun, thanks for posting, you brought back memories in my little 7 year old life back in 72, i loved Donny, yes, i was 7 and i LOVED Donny, still do...sniff..sniff

  • That was great!

  • I think it is live, doesn't sound perfect like a tape would sound. His voice is different.... :)

  • They definitely sang live. I don't know what that other person is talking about. A tape would have kept singing when he nearly got pulled into the audience and the singing stopped and he continued when he was back on his feet.

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahaah, oh, hahahahahahahahahahah

  • You do know those fairground shows were not actually live but instead prerecorded tapes they played along with.

  • Donny and all the Osmonds were famous for little security. They always got attacked by the girls. They loved it.

  • What makes you say that? They always sang live.

  • Notice how he didn't keep singing when he was pulled into the audience.

  • sucks when you find out thier ain't no Santa Claus.......

  • The Osmonds called Allentown their 2nd home 'cause the fans would all converge there. There's even a plaque with their names on it there. We would go to all the shows and got to go backstage and meet them'cause we would raise money for the Osmond Foundation, now Children's MIracle network.

  • Talk about scary! Donny almost lost it all. Never seen this before. Bet he learned a big lesson that day! Not funny at all.

  • LULLLLLLLLLLLzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

  • LOL i loved that part when his brothers had to pull him back from the insane mob of girls!!!!!! LOL and then they were all cracking up as donny tried to finish the song!!!!! LOL I am laughing my ass off at that!!!!

  • haha. that was great. you're right, they themselves couldn't even finish it almost. haha. then when it was over they were still laughing at him. poor donny.

  • Donny oh my...THUD

  • Donny gave it up when he sang! He was in that shi&%!! A Real mofo!

  • We talked about him yesterday. I didn't know him or is brothers. And then in the evening, we were watching an old episode of Ushi and Van Dijk. And he was there, singing Puppy Love. Just great ;D

  • Holy Cow @ 1.55 someone wanted to take him home

  • I just love this song, it's amazing!

  • I like how after the guys pull him back onstage they're all standing there laughing! And Donny, what a trooper, keeps singing through it all.

  • Aah memories! Went to see them at Wembley 30/05 they were fantastic. Thanks for posting! :)

  • sneakergirl1 this was a great concert. donny was lucky that he had his brothers helped him from being pulled into the audience. they are caing brothers. allways stick together. love u donny.

  • sue thinks donny is fantastic

  • 1''25 what a looker
