  • Да, слабо перепеть Агнетушку ... / Great, but can't get it right ... no even close to the Real Thing ...

  • @Summerbreeze1616 Not her best performance thats for sure, but you know she is better then this performance. I still love you Faith !!!!!!!!!

  • Perilously close to straining and hollering, if you ask me.

  • What greater tribute can make than to remind everyone how much better the original was?

  • haha, yea, i'll stick with agnetha.

  • Faith Hill did an appalling version of the ABBA classic THE WINNER TAKES IT ALL at the March 2010 Rock Hall of Fame, where ABBA were inducted. Faith Hill does NOT have the vocal range to cover a song like this, and it was embarrassing to watch. Who selected her when there are so many better singers out there?

  • oh, well, there is always going to someone that thinks one singer is better than the other. it happens.I am a fan of both and I like Faith's version and she is not shouting!

  • Faith Hill is a great performer of her own songs, but there´s no feeling in this wonderful TWTIA. Sorry, Agnetha had it.

  • This version lacks the grendeur of the original. Faith Hill is a fine singer but she doesn't have the vocal nuance required. Like a lot of US singers, she can be a bit shouty in the upper ranges.

  • Only Agnetha can sing this song; it will always only ever be her song.

  • There is a grandeur to this song which is not captured fully hear. I have rarely heard the song sung properly live, including here. Faith Hill is a fine singer but, like a lot of US singers, being shouty can sometimes be mistaken for passion.

  • ops, sorry, buddy, but Meryl's version of it sucks but it's still better than this. And, she's not even a singer. The big problem on it is Aggie's voice. "I don't wanna talk" sounds so smooth, Aggie is brilliant with this song! Neither Faith nor whoever tries to do it will be close to perfection. It's about being suitable, which was not. No one will ever be as great as Agnetha. I'd rather see Frida singing it two steps down or something.

  • I think Faith did a good job but of course no one can touch Agnetha/ABBA's version but this is Faith's take on it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion- whether negative or positive- getting all defensive is unnecessary; no one is bashing Faith and calling people idiots just because they have a different view is just not acceptable.

  • Tina Arena does a better cover.Faith isn't bad though.

  • Her voice is just not suitable for this sing. And she gives it all away already in the first 'The winner takes it aaaaall'. Reminds me of how meryl streep sings it in mama mia. Agnetha keeps it small and builts it up onto the end. Faith makes it kind of boring this way, it's all sung in the same way from the beginning to the end. The winnes taaakes it aaaaall.

  • urban herb, she did get the words right. she did fine, you are just not a Faith fan.I have the ABBA CD and their voices back then were great but you should never compare them to someone else. it is not fair.

  • Meryl Streep was there... they shoud've given her the mic. I felt completely ashamed by that. Give Meryl the microphone!!!!

  • did you see her on tv,the urbanherb, because if you are going by this video,it is a lousy clip. she did sing all the words,I have it on tape. she did know all the words. and did an incredible job.

  • I am not a Faith Hill fan BUT anybody saying she did not do justice to this song is just pure ignorant.

We should see what would Britney Spears sound like on this song haha

  • I don't see why people are giving Faith a hard time. I thought she was great, and to top it all off, she was sick when she sang this. It's obvious someone who is a part of ABBA likes Faith and has heard her sing this song before (she sang it a few years ago on her Soul2Soul II tour). So obviously ABBA likes her and wanted her to sing this. Quit cryin.

  • I cannot believe the sound on this video. I loved her rendition and this video makes her sound bad considering that she was great on tv. I have her on tape and she was AMAZING!!. Benny was very pleased with her. the camera showed his face on tv. she did an outstanding Job on this. you cannot expect her to sound like ABBA. she is not suppose to.

  • @myrarobinson42 thats my point. everytime someone does a cover of a song, people expect them to sound like the original singer. its not gonna happen. it cant happen. i think Faith was amazing, and people need to stop bashing her. and your right, it does look like someone held up there cell phone to record this almost. bad quality video.

  • Have you ever seen American Idol? I suppose you haven't... it's pretty obvious that when you're doing a public "audienced" cover of a really famous song, you have to destroy it (in a good way). Sorry, but it didn't happen. To me she was just screaming and feeling no connection to the song. I have to bash her because to me it wasn't even close to good.

  • It was good, but obviosly is hard to compare her with the amazing voice of Agnetha and the vocals of abba of course, she would lose, but it was good.

  • i belive Faithhill mcgraw is the real deal she does what she is asked to do give her a break if the artical said she was sick at least she wasnt a quitter she gave her all i loved it myself, way to go FHM and BA

  • Yikes, I don't think Faith Hill did a very good job with this one. Hard to do justice to such an iconic ABBA tune I guess.

  • we should never make comparisons to an original singer. Faith does great with this song and she did not butcher it,she did sing all the song correctly,it was just her version of it. ABBA is wonderful ,but don't make comparisons, that is not fair to either singer.Faith did not sound sick.

  • sorry she will never compare to abba

  • she isn't suppose to be compared to abba

  • Actually miss Hill is mrs, Tim mcgraw!

  • petejlm, which means what, that she can't sing? I am pretty sure most of America knows Faith is happily married to Mr. Mcgraw. by the way, this tape doesn't show him,but he was in the front row and was very proud and smiling at her when she finished and winked at her.

  • Say what you may i think faith can sing anything well,

  • What A Load Of Old shit......... The song is too big for miss hill

  • She is awful on this. Why didn't Frida sing it? Damn. Mery Streep was in the audience - she did this song much better in MAMMA MIA than Faith Hill on stage last night - they should have had Meryl sing it.

  • @Nathan94110 you obviously dont like Faith.

  • i didn't like this. too much screaming.

  • This is one of the best ABBA Songs ever and - as written before - no one can sing it like Agnetha! It´s not easy, faith Hill does it good, much much much better than Miss Chaka Khan last year at Hyde Park......but what I also would like to say is thank you for posting it! I´m from Germany and never thought I could find the Video already on here, what a wonderful invention internet is!!!

  • Excuse Faith Hill, not the easiest job you were there ... No one can beat Agnetha. But even the funniest song either ... There's so much better ABBA songs.

  • Imagine Agnetha on stage with Benny there last night. One song, nothing more. THAT would have been something.

  • there are points where Benny is just watching Faith sing and he has a smile on his face. he must have loved it. she did great.

  • I think this is a fine cover. Agnetha sang the original so well that she melted with the music. Faith Hill's slightly slower and sultry delivery makes one focus more on the lyrics, and then one is aware of the heartbreak. Emotion comes.

The excited drummer gives a rock edge to the performance, and Benny does seem pleased.

I wish there were more songs.

  • que emoción ver a Benny al piano pero falta Agnetha!!!!!!!!!

  • it's great great! :D

  • it' great great! :')

  • it was great to see Benny at the piano playing, but I think it was painful to see Faith Hill screaming her way out of the song, that wasn't singing.

  • Aside from the unbalanced sound, Faith knocks that song out of the park. Love my Abba. MrAbbadabbado and pinheadq41 would change their minds after hearing it at one of Faith's live shows ... simply amazing. Great job by Benny and Faith! Pretty obvious Benny enjoyed it.

  • Love it!

  • not that i'm a big fan of hers, but it would've been interesting to see avril lavigne sing this. faith's voice is too low. another piano riff i wish i could rip out at a party!

  • Since Faith began singing this song in concert 3 years ago. I have been in love with her version. It literally brings me to tears. Another FAITHtastic performance by Mrs. McGraw!

  • quite mediocre

  • This really shows just how great the ABBA women were. Here's a 5 time Grammy winner Faith Hill and even though she did okay, it was no were near Agnetha's version. But thanks to her for trying. Holy smoke what a knock out.

Cograds to ABBA, they DO belong in the RnR Hof F as much as anyone. Frida looked and spoke beautifully and Benny was to the point, his piano playing hasn't dimensioned at all. Now what do we fans do? Our wish has been fulfilled, their in. Hope they don't just fade away.

    pin

  • Exactly she isn´t even close voicewise with Agnetha or Frida. They had more range, more emotion and much more better voices. Faith Hill is good but not even close to two of the best female singers of all times.

  • @Tolp2339 i wouldnt say they are the best singers of all time. . . personally i like Faith over them. but thats just me.

  • I have the ABBA CD and played it yesterday and I believe they totally approved her singing. many others felt she was right for this song. and she was not well, but worked anyway.actually ABBA did not have the emotion in the song that I had remembered them having. I loved this group and still do,but please stop putting Faith down, she did her best and this video does not show how good she was .

  • ...didn't like it...her voice in my opinion is very average....but having said that she tried her best!

  • I can tell you guys are fans of Abba, as I had the same reaction,God love her for keeping it alive, but no contest when it comes to Agnetha, a master at interpretation. Agnetha is also mesmerizing facially, just a consummate pro... Falling off those high notes is ok once in a while, but every time Faith did that, it made me wonder if she even could end them smoothly..Ok, picked on her enough!...she's great, and loved the way she acknowledged Benny at the end, very classy! (HOT legs too!!)

  • i just read an article that said that Faith was sick when she performed this.

  • Faith Hill is one of the most overrated singers in the world. Agreed average voice. Besides she was a little flat and dragged the tempo.BENNY was TERRIFIC!!!!

  • Thanks for posting this. A true domestic epic song - so bruising and no kidding around when Agnetha sings it - Faith Hill nonetheless does a v. good job here.

  • tremendous!

  • A great cover, Ms Hill has a great voice, much more if Benny is sitting at the piano.

Amazing, nothing more to say !!!!

  • it was very apparent that Benny loved the way she sang it.

  • Good, but nobody can sing it like Agnetha.

  • of course the original is always better, but Faith did a wonderful job.
