@BaxterX1 well, Rand & Rose Fle-math put for a very strong argument for that. Their book, When The Sky Fell, is an amazing read and I strongly recommend it. It's a relatively short book too. They convincingly explain how Antarctica is indeed Atlantis and that when you look at the island continent, full face, (tilting the south pole to face you), you can see Plato's description in great detail than any other location on Earth.
If you take a look at the piri reis map... "antartica" is connected to south america, and the outline of "antartica" does not correspond to the actual coastline of antartica. So I'm confused now why these researchers are claiming it depicts antartica? Maybe it's 30 degrees higher because it is not in fact, Antartica.
My guess is that the interal structures of Antartica were guessed at? A problem with earth crust displacement, is that if it were true, you'd see it in the island chains around the world, would you not? At the time of the displacement, the whole chain would shift. The earthcrust-displacement can sort of explain why some people think there is another ice age coming and that in involves a pole-shift. Since the theory suggests the whole earth moves as a single piece, then the feutures will remain the same. All the survivors had to do was to change the position of lattitudes and longitudes. Chinese mapped the world and solved latitude and longitude in the 1420's. also Antarctica, just like the rest of the world, completely thaws out in 5 - 25 thousand year cycles. the continents have not really moved in the last 60 million years. tobacco and cocaine found in 5,000 year old Egyptian remains. you don't need the earth's crust to shift, it could have been ocean currents, like the ones that keep Britain 50% warmer than anywhere else at the same latitude.

@BaxterX1 well, Rand & Rose Fle-math put for a very strong argument for that. Their book, When The Sky Fell, is an amazing read and I strongly recommend it. It's a relatively short book too. They convincingly explain how Antarctica is indeed Atlantis and that when you look at the island continent, full face, (tilting the south pole to face you), you can see Plato's description in great detail than any other location on Earth.

If you take a look at the piri reis map... "antartica" is connected to south america, and the outline of "antartica" does not correspond to the actual coastline of antartica. So I'm confused now why these researchers are claiming it depicts antartica? Maybe it's 30 degrees higher because it is not in fact, Antartica.

My guess is that the interal structures of Antartica were guessed at? A problem with earth crust displacement, is that if it were true, you'd see it in the island chains around the world, would you not? At the time of the displacement, the whole chain would shift. Or the hot spot that created the islands would be out in the middle of the ocean. Plate techtonics explains why there are fossilized remains of forests in antartica.

The earthcrust-displacement can sort of explain why some people think there is another ice age coming and that in involves a pole-shift. These thoughts really help connect all the loose pieces of information and theories in my opinion.. several factors could contribute to pole-shifts, even massive earthquakes I think.. and gravitational pulls by incoming celestial bodies perhaps.. who knows! openmindedness is vital these days

Oh as always you have to do research yourself and not take their words for granted. All documentaries are referring to Piri Reis map as one that shows Antarctica. Do they not check these things themselves? I have much respect for Graham but Piri Reis map DOES NOT show Antarctica! It shows distorted continent of South America. While latitude is pretty precise longitude is progressively misrepresented the more it goes south. PS. Where is the ocean that separates S. America and Antarctica?

It is possible that previous civilization had power of flight, to the point of free travel between not only continents but capable and carrying out interplanetary travel.
In fact there is a good chance that that civilization had been destroyed by interplanetary or interstellar warfare. Hence, the ban on UFO disclosure. On the question of how the ancient maps show accurately the world map if there was crustal displacement. Since the theory suggests the whole earth moves as a single piece, then the feutures will remain the same. All the survivors had to do was to change the position of lattitudes and longitudes. They can do this by noticing the new direction of sun rise relative to the direction before the shift.

What if 2012 is when there will be another "earth slip" and hey presto Antarctica moves and melts a shows us a snap frozen ancient civilization? unfortunately that would probably wipe out half the planet and raise sea levels by meters. But it would be cool to see.

Here is food for thought, the bible has been proved many times over and over that it is accurate for historical references. Many scoffed of the idea that a place called Jericho existed and yet, surprise it was uncovered. Let the bible speak, could it be simply that this "Atlantis" is merely the ancient world before as the bible says, the earth broke open and the heavens flooded the land. Ppl attribute the ice age but
much water can fossilize and create oil because of the pressure. Apx same time
