Normal snares pack a lot more punch than the so-called marching snares out there which just sound like a pathetic wooden block. Want to add some power to the marching bands? take away the toy snares and give them proper ones.

What? Marching snares are completely opposite of what you just said. They're way louder than concert snares. Plus you can't even tell what your playing on a concert snare when you play anything past 16th notes. It just sounds like iHFUIBWEILFGWFEGSBEFSEGFKJSAGE­FKESAGFK.

the snare's too high positioned for comfortable playing which creates more pressure in your arms and I noticed you're letting your fingers way too loose while doing ... hmm tremolo?
