  • it's a 3.9 liter right?

  • Sick ride but i got a Few questions here: what kind of headlights are those and are those stock housings, any advantage to using a 160 tstat instead of a 180, and is that grill after market or factory spec?

  • i take my GTP to dyno my numbers are 310whp, headers, 3.4 pulleym k&n FIKP, 180 t-stat, tuned, ACdelco sparplugs, 3 inch downpipe, haven't take it to the track jet, watch my videos of my gtp

  • @jetblackgtp Hey man question for you or anyone. I just bought my 04 gtp comp g, and i am wondering if it is possible to tune the stock superchargers to run more boost? i want to get it to about 300whp, and i am wondering what mods you would recommend to get there. thanks brotha, nice whip

  • @Ericsson787 Start with a CAI. then get a DP, after that, go for tune, plugs, t stat than drop a pulley size.

  • @GXPFiend By DP, you mean down pipe right? And what would be a good performance chip to buy for my GTP? appreciate the help.

  • @Ericsson787 Sorry, Yea I mean Downpipe, and go with a 3 inch. Also as far as tuning goes you have several options. ZZP, 3800 Performance, HP Tuners, just to name a few, have great tunes available for the 3800! Good Luck.

  • @Ericsson787 Well to make 300 whp, you will need a good amount of money and alot of patience, as well as someone to tune your pcm to keep up. Also if you plan to make numbers like that. you'll need a different tranny, a built one. TEP or ZZP. mods as follows, Open Cone filter, DP, Headers, PCM, Start with a 3.6 SC pulley, then if you have 0 KR try a 3.4, but if you go 3.4 i recommend an intercooler. and to make 300 whp youll need a decent cam/head set up

  • @regalgs1 im about to go back to school, so i dont have a whole lot of money to throw around but if i put on a k&n cai, dp and a new pcm would that be worth the money im spending as far as performance goes?

  • people like this guy piss me off.. hid's in stock housings.. fcking blind me at night man

  • that 300+ lb ft torque is just something the plauge Rice doesnt understand. Hondas dont have any!!! I love gtp!

  • sounds like a fucking jet spooling up or the millenium falcon about to blast into lightspeed LOL, bad ass GP

  • nice man, check out my comp on the dyno.

  • 275whp seems very unrealistic....

  • @lurch1489 how so? stock had about oh 220-230-ish hp maybe a tad more/less.You have no idea how well supercharged 3800s react to these supporting mods. intake is 15-20 hp,the tune is good for 10-15 easy, downpipe is prob 5-10.theres 35-45 hp very conservatively not counting the plugs/wires/pulley and thermostat. This guy has the perfect supporting mods for a good 3800SC.275 sounds pretty darn good,

  • @rockerdude29 I have no idea? look at my videos, I have a 12 sec GTP that could run 11s with prep and good weather. Stock series 3 GTPs will put down 200-210whp. Intake is good for 10hp tops. If it is a real tune and not a canned tune, it could be good for 15hp. Plugs/wire/thermostats are supporting mods, they arent going to add any power. The biggest thing for this motor is the pulley and downpipe. Still 275whp seems unrealistic being that I know multiple people with more done making less hp.

  • @lurch1489 Yeah there are guys with NIC cams and 3.0 inch pulleys putting down 270-280 almost braking into the 12's. I just can't see 275 WHP coming out of a 3.5 setup on a stock cam.

  • @rockerdude29 @lurch1489 a 3.6 w/ supporting mods on these cars will net you ~45 hp, each pulley size drop which is a tenth of an inch gives you an extra pound of boost. so if 3.8 inches gives you 8 lbs a 3.5 would put you at 11 lbs. which in turn would really start cranking out horse power. also a 3.6 setup on the 04+ gtps is the same as a 3.4 setup on the 97-03 gtps

  • Fillin ur grill. where did you get them

  • Where did you get those front grills?

  • wat kind of lights you got i been looking for those blue lights but i idk wat are they

  • so what did it run on the dyno? and rite now i got an 05 GTP with WIZ CAI, 3" DP w/ Hiflow Cat, autolite 104's, Ported PLOG, 180* Tstat, and am looking into a 3.5" pulley.... u got similar stuff on yours and i want to know what u ran on the dyno.

  • @mscally07 You will probably get a little knock off a 3.5 setup according to your mods. I would go 3.6. If you do headers or cams then I would say 3.4.

  • hesitation sounds like it kicks down a gear when its floored. do you know what gear this measurment was taken ?

  • Looks very similar to mine. Definitely nice numbers for few cheap amount of mods. Need to dyno mine.

  • I love the wheels on these GTP's I want to put them on my 96 Bonneville SSEI they should look good.

  • Very! The 3.8 motor has been around forever so it is pretty much perfected. I went on a 3000 mile round trip, non stop with a 1000 pounds of people and luggage and it never had any problems. During that trip on the highway I had a G35 coupe try to race me from 65 to 130mph and even with a fully weighted down car i still walked all over him. I guess thats the beauty of this car! Their great cars and i plan on keeping it forever! Just keep it maintained, and it will last longer than you! haha

  • Nice work man sounds really strong. I love the CompG. I had a 04 with a 3.6 setup, but got rid of it for a GXP. If you take care of the car, the car will take care of you! Good Luck

  • change out the head gasket to a matel one or it's going to shit on you mines going on my 98 and mod the tranny they can't take much more then stock power

  • @jetblackgtp Yay :) thumbs up for long live GRAND PRIX! Pontiac forever!

  • 20 degrees means alot! too bad It don't come with an inter cooler, the transmission cant handle the torque. Great Vid.

  • The dyno had a knock sensor on it, and it said I had 0. I havent done it since then. It was about 20 degrees that day. Thats part of the reason the numbers were so big, the supercharger was lovin it! I need to do it on a hot day, and see what degree if any knock i will have!

  • i have the same car comp g red , where did you get the lights

  • I actually got them off ebay. Their a xenon bulb kit. They are about $100 dollars. I just bought another xenon kit that are a little less blue now, so these ones are just sitting in the garage. They are a real eye catcher!

  • @jetblackgtp SEND EM TOO ME

  • Whats your KR at?

  • i bought the aeroforce guages theres pretty awesome. I have 0.0 knock even at full trottle. It was about 70 degrees today. I had 93 pump gas

  • well now that your at o knock add the supporting mods for a 3.4 and you will really be haulin : )

  • I was wondering if ill even need anymods. I was thinking about going to a 3.4 and seeing what my knock would run at and if it still stayed 0 or close to it then i would just leave it on. If not i plan on getting a SS intercooler.

  • Headers will make it happen with the 3.4....and tune the Maf temperature with the happy knob for the cold days of winter...and your good to go

  • you definitely wanna had a few supporting mods to get the real potential out of that 3.4pulley. its dam near garaunteed u'll have KR if just onyl run that 3.4. At least header, intake, plugs and wires, and pcm. Every degree of KR takes off 5hp

  • Yo man don't waste your money on a Short stack Intercooler. If you are going to go an intercooler route do a full one. You can run a smaller pulley with less knock. SS are a joke.

  • mmhm thats kinda hard to believe. seeing that stock CompG's have some type of KR. But if its true then sweet. I had a 3.6 setup with CAI, DP, Tune, plugs, wires, coils, T-stat, and Magnaflow and I was still seeing KR.

  • Lol I'm catching up-just started to mod

I have a 05 GTP Compg with wizaird cai and zzp pcm, my 3" downpipe is on it's way then I'm actually going for the power loga dn ported minifold and finally a 3.5" mps nice #s by the way

  • "power log and ported manifold" lol wow did I mistype that

  • It made a little bit of a difference in performance. The big thing was my gas mileage went up about 2 mpg, and the engine seemed to want to rev higher.

  • did the down pipe make a big difference, I really need one an a tune..

  • gotta love cold weather!
