  • @kiddoxsupra2 Obviously it's tuned... The tuner is shown in this video...  If you mean internal upgrades, then no, nothing else - it's bone stock otherwise.

  • W/e run boost on stock it'll hold up for a long time if it's tuned well which this guys car is.

    From the experiences I had with the b18a1, b18b, b18c series problems always seem to arise with the valves regardless of low boost or high boost. The b16 was said to be the most reliable engine Honda has made to run boost on stock. They ran like 22 psi on it before a bolt broke that's it. I can't remember the full extent of it. It was in a Honda Tuning issue.

    haha well me personally I built the rods, valves, and had it sleeved before I boosted my teggy. But that's just me, better safe than sorry.

    That did sound pretty stupid, my bad typo I meant I built the engine. Rods, valves, etc. before boosting it and event then I'm still running low boost, only 8 psi.

  • you need 3 gauges oil pressure, boost, and a a/f wideband. but the wideband is like 200 +. so if got to skip out on that one but the boost and oil pressure is a must

  • I have no idea. I purchased the car in 2001 certified pre-owned for 17k. Older GSR's are like 5g's now... What I spent on this car over the past 9 years, I could have built an 8 second integra today.

  • Well imma have some arp rod bolts on gsr rods and stock pistons. The reason for that is cuz some aftermarket rods and pistons are alittle to much for me to pay for and i wouldnt mind on doin 350 on pump 93....

  • No, don't do that. Stock rod bolts are fine for 8000-8200 rpms at this power, no need to upgrade unless you do forged pistons and aftermarket rods. ARP headstuds, new OEM headgasket and a breather kit and ur ready to make 300-350whp.

  • its called forced induction. those numbers are better than most stock gsr turbo. really depends on the turbo size.

  • Thanks! LS will make less power than a gsr, but the LS is a cheap motor and can be a lot of fun. I'd say go LS and shoot for 250-275whp - if you blow it, it's a lot cheaper to replace then a gsr. It was daily driven for a month but not anymore... It attracted way too much attention from cops and thieves.

  • Depends on your turbo/fuel/exhaust setup. Between 275-325whp is a good goal.

  • well im gonna go gt35.with the same type turbo manifold you have.with some 750cc..3 inch all the way back..i wanna see 350 at 10 psi..to bad the b18 is not strong like the k20..15psi on stock engine

  • b18 is pretty strong ..k20 is just a newer engine..but i got a friend whos b18 makes about 304 at 7psi stock

Frankly; I don't understand what's the point in ricing up your bone stock 1.3 Toyota (for example) with all those awful aluminium spoilers and ugly body kits when your engine does not meet the looks of your car.   • I had absolutely no traction in 1st and 2nd. You can hear the tires spinning. I spin 3rd gear when its cooler then 50 degrees out too. 2nd is hard to keep off rev limiter... Oh well.

  • You don't need more whp now... just get the traction and you will be running 10s if not touching 9s easy. Maybe work on the tranny to get the torque up? Very nice and clean ride, love it.
