i use a finger. cover it to the lower knuckle part with cream and slide it in and work it around. just make sure ur finger nails are smooth. a qtip wont even go up in my ass without the tip breakn or fraying

forget about q tips...i suggest wearing a rubber glove and applying the cream that way with your finger. sounds gross but it works.
