  • what happened to the les paul at the beggining, sounds pretty out of tune

  • Just like with Tool, these guys sound way better live!

  • Pretty cool. Tool's live version of this song isn't bad either.

  • tools is better.

  • in my opinion peach's version is better, i like it much more :D

  • @Grafkores Yeah, somehow I prefer Peach's vocals on this song(not that MJK's a bad singer, he's brilliant, but his voice doesn't suit this song.)

  • they play it louder than Tool, not better.. but the performance is awesome, except of course, the vocals.. no one cant beat Maynard except Cedric Bixler Zavala or Lucia Cifarelli

  • @Zitroneengel I'm a big Mars Volta fan but I think Cedric's vocals are pretty inconsistent, he seems to be off key quite alot, whereas Maynard is known for his live performances. I'm not quite sure if I know Lucia Cifarelli.

  • @gazbostuart Lucia Cifarelli is KMFDM's lead female singer since 2002

  • man peach original sounds fucking kick ass but tool yea they add a hint of perfection just me and yea maynard

i heard these guys were pretty pissed when justin showed tool this song when he joined tool lol poor peach

  • I actually find Peach's original version better than Tool's. However I do think Tool's ''No Quarter'' was way superior to Led Zepplin's.

  • @TheOtium I would like zeps more if they didnt use a fucking autowah on plants vocals. ruins the song.

  • maynard is so much better...

  • do not compare tool whit led zeppelin. diferent bands diferent times.

  • i shitted my pants when Laz Pallagi started to speak hungarian.

    the translation is:

"through centuries in the course of battles full of blood and tears the few remaining who carried on the flag of liberty in the course of battles (...it wasn't...) easy at all neither in the rainstorm of fear, nor being lost but interwoven did they support one another"

(i hope my english is correct.)

  • @theleperaffinity88 bazz én nem értettem egy csomó részt belőle magyarul XD kösz így már visszakövetkeztetem :P

  • LOl the lead singer teaches geog at my school!

  • simon oakes is a geography taecher at my school with a phd. this is so wierd

  • I hate when bands continue like this. Peach was Peach. You should do something new instead of reliving the past as Suns of Tundra. Regardless, this is a great song and besides the intro these guys did a good job.

  • tool > peach

  • i think that peach version is better than tool's version

  • Comment removed

  • This version has a bunch of Pink Floyd overtones everywhere, (imo)!!!

  • I don't understand why people compare

this to Tool, the drummer is sticking to the

original version that Rob Havis played.

Danny Carey's parts are also fantastic, but

    why copy his parts?

  • This is very good, but I do like the Tool cover better. Tool's version is done at a slower time, Danny's drum work is far superior and Maynards vocals blow this singers vocals away. Good song though.

  • Tool makes everything sound better

  • You all say that Tool's version is better, but if there wouldn't be Peach, there wouldn't be no Tool's version so show some appreciation. Especially that those two versions are very diffrent. You Lied by Tool is great, but by Peach in my oppinion is equally good:)

  • i believe that nastydr0 shud... die

  • i like both versions tools just alil bit more idky but hey good job honestly ididnt know tool remayd this until now and ive been listening to tool for along time

  • jesus are the guitars out of tune? what the fuck...

tool's version sounds way better than this

  • badass, i honestly like the tool one better. Danny puts wayy more feel in it then this drummer

  • Better than TOOL, Maynard just has a different feel that I cant appreciate, but i like No Quarter by them.

  • Understandable if Tool isn't for you, but "Tool fucking sucks"? That shows your naivety.

  • lol the fact that you thought i'm being serious shows your naivety...it's the internet, it's all fake XD

  • Respect, but... Tool killed it on this cover just like they OWNED LED in no quarter..... promise...

  • @chubbychad true fact

  • @Grafkores Grafkores got my back! He said this is better than my grandma's pancakes! And my grandma's pancakes are dope.

  • @chubbychad i like ledds version waaay better

  • @GuruBabadesh That's cool bro. I like how we can meet on a Suns Of The Tundra video to discuss whether Tool or ledds version of no quarter is better.... lol face it.. we are cool!

  • @chubbychad Well I am a Tool lover and this is the best version of this song. Way harder... the lyrics fit this singer.

  • no way!!!TOOL do cover amazin n they r my favourites...but 2 songs i think they cant cover better than the original r You lied & Demon Cleaner-kyuss..

  • i like tools version better

  • is it just me or does it look like they cant decide who should be singing?

  • they are called backup vocals... they have a raw quality i think is good

  • i like peach better than suns of the tundra

  • wokal bardzo slaby

  • napisali tak trudną do śpiewana piosenkę że nie idzie im śpiew na koncercie...

  • what a amatiors

    fu ck it

  • simon oakes the guitarist is my geography teacher :D not a bad teacher hey

  • fuck no way, where u from england?

  • dude! are you fucking serious??

  • your not disappointed with 10,000 day's, 10,000 days is disappointed with you!!!

  • Can somebody tell me that the singer with the long hair is hungarian or not? Because he speaks like a 100% hungarian, but i havent found anything of him...

    THX

  • LOL i got no idea mate but he's my geography teacher OMG so cool!!!!

  • woops sorry wrong guy! the other singer simon oakes!!! wooooo

  • then please ask your teacher bout his bandmate, he sould no the truth... :)

  • he's surely hungarian, i read it :)

  • Laszlo Pallagi from Obiat.

  • ITS Amazing how tool covers this song AND no quarter and makes the covers better than the originals... thats true talent.. and no quarter is a fucking zeppelin song nobody can cover them...

  • my personal oppinion is that Maynard's voice that is full of anger is what makes the Tool songs better

  • Dunno why, but Tool versions are better, i think, 2:30 sux

  • hmm i like tool's cover of this song a lot better

maynards singing is a lot better than these guys

    no offense

  • 0:18, rocking out, yeah! haha. I like Tool's verison.

  • Peach is awesome

  • This song in particular reminds me of Isis a lot. If anyone wants more of this exactly check out Isis-Dulcinea..

  • The lead singer was my Geography Teacher!

  • looks like he used to be a teacher LOL, no disrespect tho.

  • You from england I thought they were english..?

  • I like both of the songs from tool and peach

  • that guy looks sooooooooooo stoned out of his mind....the guy with long hair

  • their website sells world wide

  • i like tools live version on salival a lot, but this is great. i like it way more then then recording on their album aswell.

i think the only thing i dont like is that justin isnt on bass ha.

  • I like the Tool version better. I didn't think the vocals were as good as Maynard's.

  • shut up moron

  • andvari is a dumbass weaboo. this singer sucks compared to maynard but then again who can compare to maynard...

  • i believe the answer is not a single person.

  • agree

  • i no maynard is amazing and he has his great moments but....i have to say i like steve wilsons singing a little better....does anyone agree?....porcupine tree, tool and suns of the tundra pwnzzzz tho

  • No, not in any way do I agree with you lol. But this is a good song though.

  • some people that compare to maynard: Chris Cornell, Lane Staley, Robert Plant... There are plenty, man. I am sure maynard doesn't like people that try to suck his dick so much. This guy does just fine in the song.

  • MBloke>> I see what you mean by this version is better. I am, if nothing else, a huge TOOL fan, but the vocal harmonics on this, the fact that this is as close to the original version that you'll hear is mind numbing. Great song and I, being the TOOL fan, like this better. Cheers.

  • Gives chills btw...

  • hungarian in it!!

  • They're genious for creating this song.

Tool's genious for making a better cover than the original writers. Respect to both!

  • Ur right, they are two different songs...

They are nearly identical, but stilll deiferent, it's like comparing (-)IONS from TOOL, with Smells Like Teen Spirit from Nirvana XD

  • Everyone saying Tool brings this song to life needs to learn some respect. Peach wrote this song and plays it best. If you had good ears for music you would also notice they sound almost identical. You call yourselves Tool fans. Hah.

  • was´n quatsch !

  • This is a great recording.

Everybody keeps comparing this to Tool... why is my question? Try and appreciate it for what it is.

  • im going to bye some of Suns of the Tundra's albums ;) hell yeh !!

  • omg... (Im harcore tool fan) but original sounds... you know... amazing... and really dunno... love it... had no idea =)

  • I agree with Jason, Tool did a great job with it, I would not like it otherwise.

And jabuhrer, form your own opinions. Just because Tool are fans doesn't mean you have to be.

  • I respect these guys lyrical work but Tool really brings the song to life.

  • these guys gave the rough draft of this song, TOOL edited it and perfected it.

  • I disagree...I love it how it is. It's sad that everyone loves Tool so much, yet fails to appreciate the things that the guys in Tool appreciate themselves.

  • True, so TRUE.....you nailed it!

  • guys tool is my fav band and all, but you still have to recognize that peach originally wrote this song.. a lot of people are comparing the vox to maynard's as if peach is the one who covered itor something

  • your right and seriously its a good song even if tool didnt right it people should apprciate it

    regardless

  • wow

  • Dont lie...

  • this is the first time i've heard the original (only heard tool's cover). this is pretty sweet. does anyone have more music by them?

  • I have all their songs and I can say they're fucking awesome. You guys should also check out songs such as Minus, Bottleneck, Biast Parts 1&2, Syzygy Parts 1,2&3 and Paper Wraps Stone.

  • I swear to your god the next dumbass commenter that thinks that Tool wrote this song I will have hunted. Peach rock; not sure about Suns of the Tundra yet; and Tool rock. And whoever dosen't appreciate the original vocal line dosen't appreciate music.

    ARKANSAS MOTHERFUCKING RAZORBACKS!!!!

  • As with many other bands, yardbirds/eric clapton/led zepplin/the who/ van haven and many many others SOMEBODY ELSE ARLEADY DID THAT

    The simpsons did it.

JUST ENJOY THE DIFFERENT VERSION BY A DEFFERENT BAND OR SHUT UP AND GO WATCH TV

  • one recognizes differences when comparing the drums. danny carrey is upper class.

  • indeed

  • one recognizes differences when SHUT THE FUCK UP!, youre so high and mighty that 'one' you speak of is yourself. This is not tool, dont look at it as tool, dont compare it, just fucking enjoy the vibrations coming through your computer speakers (most likely purchased by your mother) and stop hating. That drummer was great, awesome fills, dont go ruining it by saying dc is better. Go watch tool videos then you prick. God damn yuppies.

  • "ah band so cool, Tool stole their bass player" - Qoute some Reviewer

  • actually the former bass player of peach wrote this song(who moved to Tool) so that is why tool covered it

  • Actually, you are a dipshit. Simon Oakes (the singer of Peach) wrote it for Amelia Fletcher and they got such good feedback from performing the song live, that Peach put it on their debut.

  • i'm in love with this song!

  • Too bad the original poster of the video can't delete all of these moronic comments.

  • i don't see why everybody is arguing about there both good tool did a good job (like with everything they do)but you have to give credit to peach it's there song they made it

  • Few month ago i make a translate not perfect but i make my best. And something why people always compare. Tool is tool, Peach is peach, Soat is Soat.

    Only thing is the music

  • how about spelling it right dumbass?

  • how about spelling it right dumbass?

  • how about spelling it right dumbass?

  • how about spelling it right dumbass?

  • crap............Toll's is much better :)

  • i dnt care what anybody says. this is preety fucking awsome... i know they dnt compare to tool, but no band really does.

  • Why because you don't understand what he spoke

Sry learn hungaian and if you learn youunderstand what he spoke

And really don't compare with tool

  • the bass player takes all the power of the song. but he's the Justin replacement

  • yeah but that dude who does the backin volacs is useless, atleast in this song.

  • Why so much hate on the band, stop comparing them to tool, they're not tool and they aren't trying to be tool,I love tool but I guess ignorant ass fans still don't get the message.

  • I think tool fans need to be reminded just where Justin came from. I bought "giving birth to a stone" And i loved it. Peach is not tool, and tool is not peach. plain and simple

  • The band does a great job. But no one can compare to Maynards vocals. No one.

  • idk man, i like tools better

  • i hope they kick out of the band, this guy with long hair and shaveless. he's no useful.

i wish i can see some other video like Burn, or Velvet

    maybe.

  • agree

  • Tool pwns this song.

  • Just because Tool is good doesnt mean theyve been good all the time.. listen to their first demos and judge.. They have done some covers and thats ok but dont judge other bands because of what tool have done. i like both of theese bands alot and ill hope they will come with good songs in the future too!

  • love the vocals!

  • You people all are missing the point...

You're judging TOOL's MANY versions of You Lied...

Against this ONE version of SOTT's. I've heard this song many times live by SOTT, and believe me it IS on par, if not better than TOOL's.

  • Is that a silverburst Les Paul the guitarist is playing?

  • Simon Oakes has been playing a silverburst alot longer than Adam believe me...

  • this guys playin sunburst or yellow or golden silverburst.... adam plays da real silverburst

  • No he's playing a silverburst...they lose the silver effect over time and eventually turn a yellow/gold colour. Some of Adam's silverbursts have also gone a yellow/gold colour.

  • Color does not stand for the guitar model xP

And yes it is - Gibson LP Silverburst

The secong guitarist uses Gibson SG?

  • So this is just Peach with a new bass player?

  • i think there is only one original member left lol

  • Two original members...the dude on bass used to play drums for Peach, but he changed for some reason.

  • Ok i make a Comment

    I live a little country

In 2007.08.13 In Sziget fesztivál to see Tool (live)

After that i go a homepage where link this video

    After that i download

Peach - Givin birth to a Stone album

I like Tool and Peach and both version of this song is good, but don't forget something

Some one write the song first and someone make the music for first, The song originally version is 1996. Pls all hear the original version and make comment after that.

Nekem.

  • Anyway, doesn't this band have any other songs beside the ones tool has covered?

  • They have about four albums worth of material...they've been going longer than TOOL.

  • it is a great version and fucken love both versions

  • what are you talking about? this song is just as fucking awesome as the tool cover, fucking great version

    thanx for posting

  • I make a probe but i don't speak well for English

    For Centuries

In a fight what is fill blood and tears

A few who carry the flag of freedom

Not easy do in the fight time

Not in the rain of fear and not to lost

    But they stronger to united

I repeat i don't speak well english and it's hard to translate the what is means one word Hungarian

    Hungarian is hard language

  • My thanks to you!

  • thanx for the good effort

  • Thanks! I always wanted to know what he said.

  • Tarkarra could you translate what this guy says? That'd be cool

  • love it

  • Hungarian :)

I write what he spoke in Hungarian

    Évszázadokon át

Vérrel és könnyel teli küzdelmek során

A különleges kevés ki tovább vitte a szabadság zászlaját

    Könnyünek egyáltalán a küzdelmek során

Sem a félelel zivatarába se nem elveszve

    söt összefogva erősítették egymást

  • That was a really awesome performance. Loved it as much as the Tool cover of it. Can someone tell me what language was being spoken at 6:20?

  • tool is my favorite band, for sure, i been in 4 concerts 98,2000,2006 and 2007. BUT withuot Peach. you all and me, never had the chance to listen this Fuken song.

  • ...You have no clue what youre talking about.

  • Shut up you little whore.

  • i like it a lot, i love Tool, and i dont understand time bashing the styles while you can just enjoy the music.

  • You idiots!! . actually maynard does the voice wrong at this song, you must see the vidios of this song with tool, and u'll see that Justin sings this way.

well u'll never know cuz u vener had listen to Peach.

    i love his voice too.

but WTF this guy whit the beard is doing here??

i hope this guys drop him out of the band

  • Hes not a member...

Peach Songs preformed....by PEACH > Peach songs preformed by Tool...

And I like Tool more....its just im not retarded and know what it takes to create a song...alot of work...Give these guys credit...Jesus.

  • i give all the credit of this song to peach. i love their music.

  • Thank you! Youre smart.

And have good taste in music!

  • The title should have red "Suns of the Tundra (formerly Peach)" -with-out justin ,lol, this bands singer sounds like shit compare to maynard ,.. lol =)

  • He actually isn't a metal vocalist you moron. Maybe if you listened to something other than fucking heavy metal you'd comprehend a little musical diversity.

  • +1

His vocals are great, they make the music even more prog and weird.

  • OMG PEOPLE

I write before all hear the original song.

I hear first the Tool version but i think the orginal Peach version is the better.

  • Your a fucking idiot...ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO COVER A SONG BETTER THEN THE ORIGINAL WRITERS! You just happen to like TOOL's version more...Get a clue you musically illiterate douche bag

  • Uhh Huitzel...I would have to say it is very possible for other artists to cover an original and perform it better. As for what you are saying, the original is where the better performance spawned from of course. Still, I agree with Toolband420.Tool pulls this song off 10 times better in almost every way. The heavy part sounds almost identical on both performances, but when it comes to the more melodic parts and singing, Tool pulls it off like they are the originators of the song.

  • well one of them is. i dunno which i version i like more, both are geat. and it looks like this one wins today !
