  • @poppleton66 links now posted in the comments, link to the cars, track, and another great resource for rFactor players.

  • Would it be possible to have a link for the track and cars? As this looks like an amazing mod.

  • @MrSnowrocks according to the info I have on rFactor it says "Runs Best With - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 processor (2.4GHz) - Windows XP - 2048 MB RAM (or 2GB) - Geforce 7900 GT or Radeon X1900 GT - 256 MB Video RAM - DirectX 9.0c (included in WinXP anyway) - 2GB of hard drive space for install (more if you want to add mods).

  • @MrSnowrocks Yes you can run the full 24 hour race if you want. As for the game running on your PC, no idea, depends what your system specs are. It used to run smoothly enough on my old Core 2 Duo 2.6GHz and a nVidia GTX280 so as long as you have something better than that is should run. rFactor is a fairly old game now really but realism and great mods like this one is what keeps it alive.

  • Can you acctually run the full 24 hours? And will this game run on any pc?

  • @MrSnowrocks this will run smooth on a 3850 or 9600gt

  • @Bracci0 Hi mate, yeah not a very long race, unfortunately I don't get as much time for gaming these days. I would love to do a 12 hour, and one day even a full 24 hour race but not sure I will ever get that much time, maybe when I retire :).

  • 48 minutes? ehh :D we did it in 12 hours :D

  • I'm guessing this peugeot is a mod right?

  • @thnk4urself Thats correct. Infact everything you see in this video and others of rFactor are all mods. When I first bought rFactor I was disappointed with it because the included content is limited to say the least and not really the sort of racing I was interested in. Figuring it would be a similar experience to GTR Evo I jumped online and tracked down some mods. Eventually found a site called rfactorcentral (youtube piss me off not allowing me to put links in messages).........

  • @thnk4urself Once I found that site though man they have massive amount of mods (you have to pay a small subscription to be able to download more than 3 items but the price for me was more than worth it. I got a 1 month subscription and just went crazy downloading everything that took my fancy and the mods you see in my videos are those downloads, and there is plenty more to come which I haven't even played yet)....

  • @thnk4urself In this video your watching the EnduRacers mod, on a track which is also a mod Virtua LeMans. If you do a search on EnduRacers on google or even right here on youtube you can easily find their content and videos of it which give links to download it. This mod can be downloaded completely free from their own website and I was very impressed with the quality of it. Also they seem like a team committed to providing some long term support and updating this mod.....

  • @thnk4urself I believe they have plans to redo this mod for rFactor 2 as well. Anyway so yes EnduRacers mod which covers the Euro and US Le Mans Series. I mixed the cars up a bit myself just to make a more colourful grid but you can run an authentic series and you'll find all the real tracks are available as free downloads too but from different modders. rfactorcentral is the best place to get mods, we're talking literally hundreds of tracks, 100s cars etc.

  • @thnk4urself Other examples of good quality mods are seen in my other videos like CartFactor and the Indy94/95 mods. There is also both historic and modern day Aussie V8 racing with two very nicely done versions of Bathurst. There are both modern and historic F1 mods that include the cars and tracks in one package, and I've even managed to find some power boat racing which looks pretty sweet.

  • @thnk4urself Oh and lastly one of the biggest draw cards with rFactor is the Targa Florio which is a free download too, another very nicely done track and you can find some nice cars to run on it. I loved GTR Evo because it included Nurburg but there is a version of the Nordschleife, and the Sudschleife available. According to rfactorcentral someone is even working on a fully combined version which would allow the full Nurburg to be run for first time ever in a game.

  • @Engioc72 I'm confused, what do you mean full version of nurburgring? I didn't know it went beyond the 24h layout. I've heard good stuff about rfactor central. I tried the rfactor demo, liked the tire physics but half the cars weren't even real but I know about mods. It's a huge community so I want to buy a copy instead of torrenting it. I'm glad it has bathurst, I've been looking everywhere for it in GTR evo but no one has done it.

  • @thnk4urself Sorry I'll tray to explain that better it can be a little confusing :). Ok there is the normal Nurburgring which these days is used for F1 and other racing categories which I gather is the 24 hour layout as well. What I'm talking about here is the full (original) Nordschleife (north ring) + Sudschleife (south ring) which was also known as Gesamtstrecke or the full ring. You would of course know of the Nordschleife from GTR Evo, this is also available as a free download for rFactor..

  • @thnk4urself Also the Sudschleife is available as a download for rFactor, so this is the smaller south ring. So now both are available for rFactor and I've seen some posts suggesting that someone is going to try and combine these two tracks to recreate the original Gesamtstrecke (full ring). So infact the 24 hour circuit you talk of is simply a modern track that was built because of safety concerns with the original circuit. Check Wikipedia for Nurburgring and it will give you the whole story.

  • @thnk4urself Oh an one last thing I should mention here. Being a rally racing fan you may be interested to know that there is a version of the Nordschleife that includes a rally track through the infield, I dont know if its a real track or just fantasy but either way its been very nicely done and fun to drive on.

  • @Engioc72 I got rfactor. I checled out rfactor central and saw the nurburgring mod with all the inner roads, I may try it at some point. I also got the EnduRacers mod. rFactor has some real high quality mods, overall I already like it better than GTR evo. some of the tracks and cars on nogrip or rfactor central are pretty funny, fantasy tracks, touring bus mods lol very cool stuff. what version of le mans do you have? I got one but it kind of sucks,

  • @thnk4urself Virtua Le Mans 1979, I have it for both rFactor and originally I had it for GTR Evo. Like you I played GTR Evo first and really enjoyed it and I still do but once I finally got rFactor I fell in love with it when I saw how many cool mods are available. Out of all the sim racers I've played rFactor has the best community/modding of the lot.

  • @Engioc72 Virtua_LM I mean, you will see the exact name at the start of this video. You can find it to download at rfactor central.

  • @Engioc72 it sure seems like it. there are some really creative mods out there. The Enduracers mod is really good. I don't know if they applied their own physics model to it but it seems better than the regular rfactor physics. I'm having trouble getting my wheel dialed in the way it is with other games. I'm sure there's a mod for that too lol. There's a bathurst mod on rfactorcentral, it's in the hall of fame, it's really good. most anything in the hall of fame is awesome

  • @thnk4urself Yes there are some great mods, better than whats available for GTR Evo. I still like GTR Evo because it has more built in content. rFactor would be nothing if it wasn't for the mods and I think ISI know that too, I think they deliberately go for making the engine and letting the community make most of the content. rFactor is one of those games that really thrives off its community support and that's what's made it such a popular game for those that bother to try it.

  • @thnk4urself Oh and I downloaded the demo of Netkar Pro, very impressed. Both Netkar Pro and Richard Burns Rally are games I'll need to add to my game shopping list.

  • @Engioc72 yea the tire model especially is amazing. it's really impressive how detailed the rubber meeting the road feeling is in that game. I think it goes more in depth than any other game, iracing is probably the closest but netkar has some awesome tire physics. graphics are really good too. RBR is crazy. you wouldn't think it, it's such an old game but it really \is the best rally game out there and one of the best sims period. I've seen RBR on amazon for $10 and netkar is 20 euros

  • nobody wants to watch you driving about in this shit for 1 hour you moron.

  • @glenrichards88 nobody wants to listen to whine about what other people do, moron
