came back to watch it again. i realise my earlier comment might have sounded negative but its not! what i meant by 'painful' and all was that the video had a big impact on me.
the record label is 4AD, Olliver Vaugn did most of the record design and the videos. Check out "This Mortal Coil," "Dead Can Dance, "Cocteau Twins," "Modern English," "Colorbox," and "Wolfgang Press." Emigre Graphics magazine #9 was devoted to this designer. you can get the video of, "Lonely Is an Eyesore" for a long look at the video style. H-Gun did Waxtrax Videos for a harder edge.
ah. i just finished reading this book 2 days ago. your (you both's) interpretation of it sent some knots to my stomach. just as the book was, absract and a little disturbing. the ending to the video was rather painful. i wasnt too patient at the beginning though so i cant complain about it.
Amazing.

If there were to be a realistic illustration of what a dream reader sees, this will be it.

Amazing music, conveying all of the elusive Murakami's sense. Bravo.

Hey thanks! I never heard of them, so I looked them up and found some pretty killer work. Do you have a favorite album?

hey cool video, loved the two flames at the begining, reminded me a ton of the book (which is my fave book of any author haha). Very cool work!

try Abe Kobo, Murakami cribbed his notes! And Abe doe not repeat himself over and over and over and over some more.
