  • @yellow. If you believe in god and the so called ideas below, how often are you offering aid to those who need it? I can't reitterate it anymore, the all loving god who causes people to die horrible deaths, starve, rot, be murdered for no reason. And clearly much more. As Sir Attenborough says. It is just not compatible. There is the idea of good/god and evil in us all. It is simply which side we choose to act upon in life and nothing more.

  • God created everything, he created diseases so that we may be compassionate towards one another. He did not leave us dead in the water, he also created plants that can cure diseases. It's not God's fault that some suffer from diseases, but our own fault for not offering medical aid to those in need. If life was all fun and games, compassion and love would not be necessary. God's call to each one of us is to love one another.

  • @yellowmetalcyborg Apparently it is too much to ask for compassion from God; he'd rather us go through his arbitrary tests wherein we are punished with eternal suffering for the fallibilities he apparently gave us. But of course, he'll grant us salvation if we dedicate ourselves to him as if he were a celestial Kim Jong Il. We as a species deserve better than the bullshit theists prescribe. So fuck your God and fuck you, you spineless, sycophantic, God-lover.

  • @195ashes God doesn't condemn us. We have the free will to choose love over sin. He cannot force us to love, so he gives us the choice.

He gives us the choice of handing over our life here on Earth in exchange for eternity in heaven. He also gives us the choice to squander our lives for the empty joys of this life in exchange for an eternity of suffering.

You cannot have good without evil, you need one and the other, suffering and happiness.

It's your choice, your free will, your life.

  • @yellowmetalcyborg I'm given a choice on how to act within the constraints of a deal I never agreed upon. That's nice. I choose to reiterate my previous polemic. Fuck your mythology and fuck you. You belong to the ignorant infancy of humanity.

  • @195ashes None of us has the choice of whether or not to exist, it's simply not possible to make that choice. It's not your decision to make. Last time I checked, the creator (not the creation) decides whether or not you will exist.

You're here now, what you choose to do with your life is your choice, but keep in mind that this life pales in comparison to the next.

God created us so that we may have a chance to be with Him in heaven, not so that He can watch us suffer.

  • Great universe god designed for us. We go north we die of cold. Go south, the heat will kill you. Go down, the pressure will kill you. Go up.... guess what, you also die. Only technology, our technology, created by us, Humans, helps.

What I find hilariously ironic is that religious people come on YOUTUBE and complain about progress.

  • We have no need of your god. He doesn't factor into our calculations. Ignoring the religious may piss them off, but it may also clue them in that what they believe is irrelevant to the actual running of a world.

  • As the mentally deficient would say: "PWNED!"

  • ok, I sink ve haftoo end zis conversasion coz I haff lost big style! lol!

  • Ha ha ha did you see that womens face when sir david talked about the eye burrowing worm.

You could see in her facial expression that she could'nt hack it because he was right.

As the americans would say OWNED

  • can you imagne if politicians and senators and world leaders were even half as intelligent and rational and charasmatic as sir david, sun gods, water gods, gods of fire, and god almighty, enough already with the desperate human trait of needing somthing to believe in. and to think american vice presidential hopefull sarah palin wanted to make creationism mandatory in schools, that woman is as dangerous as she is stupid. thank you sir david attenboruogh, you sir truly are a living legend.

  • haha, that lady got pwned by David Attenborough.

  • it,s obvious sir david wouldn,t believe in one of the made up gods. smart people never do.

  • I think that he politely respond the question because he is a public figure. I admire him very much. He doesn't have to say or do this Darwin program to hurt his reputation at this age in life. I think he want to send "a message" to people at least while he can.

  • GOD IS AN IDIOT

  • HATE GOD. STUPID IDIOT GOD

  • I dont think you can own people more than this.

    OWNAGE!

  • There is no god!!!

The sooner people realise this the sooner there can be world peace!

  • STUMPED

  • Whenever David says he doesn't understand the accolades, and the hero-worship, he receives, because he's nothing special (not a great scientist, or a great musician, or anything important), I get so upset I nearly weep. I can't stand it: it sounds like doubt.

Its because you can trust this man, he is so thoroughly decent, that everyone admires him: there are few around with those attributes.

He's my hero - dead-set. Long live David Attenborough.

  • Hear Hear! Brought a tear to my eye old chap!

  • Something corrupted gods perfect world? So it wasn't perfect!

  • "Some how we got corropted and so did some animals."

    You mean they EVOLVED? Wow!

  • excellent reply,

the "god did it" crowd always talking about the beautiful things that god does, but when a worm eats your eyes, or an earthquake kills millions indiscriminately... that is just "his mysterious ways"

childish arguments that can't withstand the smallest scrtuiny,

    David Attenborough - 1

    childish theists - 0

  • if we must have a god then we should vote for Attenborough!!!!

  • very well stated.

  • Well said and Canvas is a great channel!

Still the average christian will say, that that's not their god and that they do believe in evolution but with a forcy force or off course that it's the work of the devil.

  • That's exactly Attenborough's point, though... he is rebutting theistic evolution as much as creationism, because if God guided evolution, then presumably God guided it to the point where we'd have the eye-eating worm, the bubonic plague bacterium, the guinea worm, and other such things. When Attenborough says, "some way or another, God said, 'I will create a worm that can only live by boring through people's eyes,'" he is talking to theistic evolutionists along with creationists.

  • Eh? Since when?

  • I LOVE you David!!!

  • Well said David.
