  • ain't no game james

  • This is why all others failed, Robin Williams is Peter Pan!!!

  • I love how jack is holding maggie in the beginning, like he's protecting her :)

  • And of course, once again the best music is not included in the soundtrack

  • @hwtrumpet1 Type in Hook Vs Pan on Youtube and scroll down a little. You can find the music there. And it is AWESOME!

  • @hwtrumpet1 Type in Hook Vs Pan on Youtube and scroll down a little. You can find the music there. And it is AWESOME! Oh nevermind its in the related videos right here! :D

  • "I remember you being bigger"

    "To a 10 year old I'm huge"

  • 3:07-3:18 my favorite musical part

  • @slack3r9 My favorite too. That part and 5:20 - 6:00

  • Boring much? Give me a nice white licorice kiss hook

  • AND YOUR CHILDREN'S CHILDREN'S!!

  • I'm crazy but I swear there was a scene Hook falls down a cliff and eaten by crocodiles. I've seen the movie again but it didn't happen- Does anyone know where this happens, please PM me!

  • @BuddhaMaster84 Are you perhaps thinking of another Spielberg movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? Bad guy falls off the cliff at the end of that one and definitely gets eaten by crocodiles.

  • I love Hoffman as Hook and right at the end you have to feel sympathy with the man cos he cries out "Mommy" or "I want my mummy" inside he's like a lost boy - he wants his mum <:)

  • lol to a ten year old I'm huge!!! XD

  • "I want my mommy!"

    XD Who's a codfish now?

  • "to a ten year old I'm huge" Hilarious!

Peter Pan is older than captain hook.

  • @BAbytoven yeah but he litterally became a 10 year old again when he regained his memory

  • i remember you being a lot bigger... whahaaaa

  • this is the badass movie depicting peter pan, the musical score is fucking awesome, i saw it when I was four and that was a very pivotal moment in my childhood. I will kill anyone who tries to do a shitty remake. BANGARANG! RUFIO!

  • this film = perfection :)

  • 0.0 3:26 Peter pan literally spin kicks hooks blade out of the way. My jaw dropped when i saw that.

  • to me, dustin hoffman best represents Hook. sometimes people can't even tell it is dustin hoffman under that pirate outfit. hook is my all time favourite film :) and i like the sword fight sequence between these two

  • that is cool how hook said he is never land

  • seriously though... what would the world be like without captain Hook? haha me and a friend got high and had a deep discussion about this, but seriously..

  • " I vow!!" If iCarly saw this, hahahahahaha. Neville would reply, "YOU SHALL RUE THE DAY!!!!"

  • @ProjPhanProductions how can you compare that i carly shit to this classic film

  • Man at 4:20 Pan is so ready to just end it all and run hook through. A millisecond longer and he just might have.

  • @yohb7 Why? Because I have a juvenile mind at times. Because I enjoy watching television with my younger siblings. Because it was on my mind eleven months ago. I love this movie, sorry if i offended you.

  • @ProjPhanProductions ok i just dont like i carly or any new shows on nickelodeon i prefer old nickeloedeon like kenan and kel

  • @yohb7 That's the real deal. I miss the old nickelodeon too. I feel old watching nicktoons and boomerang, but i grew up with what those channels have now.

  • What do you want, old man?

  • Death is the only adventure you have left.

  • 5:49 i want my mommy

  • @SuperFrancy1996 XD Who's a codfish now?

  • Wait! So we watch two hours of him getting ready for this fight just to see a six minute duel? Ah well

  • YOU NEED A MOTHER VERY VERY BADLEY

  • the croc is alive or not? Or someone tell me what happend to him

  • The croc finally got Hook

  • wow just watch 0:35 - 0:37. something's weird about the camera.

  • Awsome fencing scene gotta know who choreographed it.

  • The croc eating hook isnt supposed to make literal sense, its metaphorical and part of the magic of Neverland. People can't fly in real life either, but it goes along with the whole theme of the movie, "if you believe enough you can do anything"....Hook believes that the croc can do him harm...and so it is true.

Such a sick movie...all around one of the best ever!!! BANGARANG PETER!!

  • @JMurray314 Never thought of it that way. It makes sence.

  • You mean so, on other words, that was just Hook's fear who brought the crocodile back from the dead...maybe ?:)

  • This scene is emblematic of the entire film:

    * it has some corny dialogue at times,

    * it has numerous plot holes,

    * but who the hell cares? This is an amazingly fun ride, and waaaaaaaaaay more fun to sit through than the real Peter Pan!

Here's another thing to throw out: anybody else notice as a kid watching this film that it was sort of weird that Hook stood up and seemed to jump *up and into* the croc's mouth? He wasn't petrified with fear. He clearly can rise. So ... why not flee? lol

  • I think it was just at that exact moment that he was all the way on his so it only looked like he was jumping in.

    Anyway, awsome final battle.

  • BANGARANG

  • Whats sucks is if at the end , if the lost boys didnt use the ticking clocks Capt Hook Would have won , and when hook was grindin his hook the lost boys saved him twice

  • favorite movie from my childhood does bring a slight tear too my eye

  • "To a 10 year old, I'm huge."

Man, this movie is a lot dirtier than I remember.

  • He's referring moreso to a child's perception of the world around them.

When children are young, the world can seem a much larger place: backyards seem immense, and that movie theater you remember as a child seemed like a temple, even though it most likely could only seat 300.

  • I know. It's called innuendo and sarcasm.

  • What do you want, old man?

  • "Death is the only Adventure you have left" - James Hook

  • this isn't the ultimate war

  • pan the avenger is back i love this movie robin williams and dustin hoffman are the best!!!

  • Just a little bit curious, how did the crocodile kill Hook in the end. It moved its head down to look at Hook, so did it come back to life just to finish him off, then die again? Or did it just fall and inhale him like a vaccum?

  • It woke up when Hook's hook hit it, and it apparently was saving it's last gulp to swallow Hook, although I'm sure they couldn't do an elaborate crocodile twirling him around in it's death just because of technology at the time.

At least that's how I saw it.

  • Thanks for responding, that's how I see it now too, adds a bit of drama, one last gulp to finish off the worst pirate of all!

  • they were gonna make a sequel but never got around to it.

    Hook is still alive.

  • Geez...that crocodile looks like it's from the Mezozoic era...

  • you are the pan

  • prepare to die peter...to die would be a great adventure...its the only adventure you have left

  • What happened to Peter's dagger from his childhood? I supose it'd be a bit unrealistic if he was to beat Hook in a fight with a dagger against a long sword. P.S. I am not saying this film as a concept is realistic!

  • what do u want old man

    ...........just you :)

  • What would the world be like without Captain Hook?

  • Good Form!

  • BANGARANGGG!!!!

  • join the petition to have the words "I believe in you" cut from fantasy films for the rest of eternity on pain of being Danny DeVito's love monkey!

  • the war scene is the best, when they are preparing their armour and the music comes in.

  • Does anyone know what the purpose of that step from 1:34-1:39 was? Or was it jus humor or Robin's classic improv??

  • I think he is trying to get one of the loose floor boards to go up and hit hook between the legs....as that's what some of the lost boys do during the battle with Hook's crew before this scene.

  • no!!! its a fencing move - part of the footwrk to execute a feit then hit something like that i forget what its called- to see another example type in "Leslie vs. the Baron (The Great Race, 1965)" in google seaarch

  • I mean youtube search lol

  • Well...imagine my embarrassment...

  • hes just taunting hook.

  • No, it's actually a fencing move... lol, I just got home from fencing. It's actually so much harder than it looks...

  • Well, after all the input & investigation. I think it was all those things at once in Robins classic delivery. An attempt 2 hit hook with a board, a fecncing stance allowing for a lunge, and a taunt. Thanx guys. I had been wondering that since I saw it in the theatre

  • i use to love this movie when i was younger always rooting for pan... but now as i watch it... he never stays there and fights he always flies away... and then the lost boys have to help him lol

  • Peter only had 4 days to get ready for this fight and Hook's been preparing for a lifetime. Peter's outgunned and he knows it.

  • this isnt the ultimate war, this is the scene right after it. please upload the real war.

  • "To a ten year old i'm huge." lol that line always got me laughing.

  • Hook had him beat when Pan was pinned against the grinder! Why didn't he just slice him? How many times in films do the bad guys have the battle won, but delay the finish because they have to say something clever?!!!

  • Just realised it was twice! Once against the grinder, and then again after Pan let him go and Hook had his sword to Pan's throat against the crocodile. All he had to do was thrust his sword forward and...game over! But no!!! Still had to say something clever! Really annoys me when baddies never win cos of things like that. Always the same in James Bond as well!

  • it's because hook wanted to kill him with the hook in retaliation for pan cutting his hand off, its hard to do that when the arm with he hook is pinning him.. as for when he had the knife near peter ya he coulda stabbed him with it but it's just like hook to want to try to kill him like he wanted to.

  • the pan sword... a masterpiece

  • also..the croc burps lol

  • 1. the sparks come before the swords hit.

    2. if the croc is dead..then why the hell does its head look down and also growl. also hook looks at it as well as all of them like it had been brought back to life

  • I guess you also wonder why robin williams can fly. oh wait it's a movie, right, you forget that?

  • wheres the happy thoughts anyways? :P

  • Answer 1: Magic swords

    Answer 2: Zombie crocodiles

Now watch the movie! lol xP

  • i did love this movie as a kid and it was at the time one of the most ultimate sword fight scenes ever

I find it odd this movie didnt do so well with the critics

  • It didn't...blasphemy.

  • thats cause critics are pirates.

  • Did he just cry for his mommy before he got eaten?

  • Yep.

  • "What would the world be like without....Captain Hook!"

  • haha at 0:53 u can see the stunt double's face

  • "Pan the Avenger is back."

    "And the hook is waiting!"

  • "He's just a mean old man without a mommy." Priceless.

  • ''You killed Rufio, you kidnapped my children, you deserve to die!''

I wish the kids didn't talk Peter into letting Hook live.

  • He wouldn't be Peter Pan if he did...

  • When Hook got surrounded by clocks, he screamed like he was in a horror movie! I CAN'T BELIEVE HOOK IS SCARED OF AN ALARM CLOCK!!!! LMAO!!!

  • it's psychological, in both the book and films the clocks signal that the croc was coming, although he "killed the croc" he was still messed up by hearing the ticking.

  • the irony is he still turned him into a clock, which was a dumb thing to do. If you're trying to cheat death, don't taunt it with irony

  • he turned the croc into a quiet clock, meaning it was still functional only it doesn't tick. as long as it never ticked hook was psychologicly balanced

  • RelativelyBest, that cut isn't clumsy at all. Michael Kahn, the editor of the film (and all of spielberg's films except ET) is still one the of best film editors in the film industry

  • I BELIEVE IN YOU!

  • "to a ten year old i'm huge"

oh, that's quite sexual isn't it.

  • "Hello, tick tock tick tock Hook's afraid of an old dead croc!"

  • Comment removed

  • 0.37 is still the single clumsiest and most ill-placed cut I've ever seen in a movie. I wonder what the story with that is because I can't believe that actually got past editing.

Anyway, still one of my favorite movie duels. :)

Also, the part were Hook claims it's all a dream is damn creepy when you consider that he really shouldn't know all those things about Peter's adult life. (Since at the beginning he didn't even recognize him and had no idea who "Peter Banning" was.)

  • as im sure u can recall when jack was smashing all the clocks and watches he was listing peters bad qualities. plus hook did know those things about him but didnt recognize. plus how many people are able to fly and that dont grow up??? its a childrens film so u dont need to go trying to show off ur knowledge (which isnt there to be honest) when it is clearly ficticious, just except it for it is and enjoy it and dont over anaylse it

  • Actually, analyzing stories IS kinda part of my way of enjoying them. I write a lot, so I'm always very interested in how a story is constructed.

Anyway, I'm not saying Hook's claim is actually true. See, that's kinda the point of the scene: it's supposed to be ambiguous, but leads to Peter rejecting the "reasonable adult" answer, listening to his heart instead. Ultimately, it's about faith.

  • By the way, you're absolutely right about the clock-smashing scene, but that really just makes it even creepier. Because there is NO WAY Hook could have known all that stuff about the Banning's family life.

No matter how you look at it, it's inconsistent with the way Hook reacted in his first scene. He flat out didn't believe Peter was the actual Pan, so he couldn't possibly have studied him and his family to any great extent.

  • Actually, it's not really an inconsistency, at least not as far as I can see.

He couldn't believe the Peter that showed up was the actual Pan because his behavior in Neverland (where he may have assumed Peter's memory would be jogged) was so adult and non-Pan-like, but that doesn't preclude his observation of his life in the real world.

  • why exactly in the beginning does Hook's sword shoot electricity? that one part always made me wonder. as for the croc, earlier in the movie hook is giving his first speech and even states that he "stuffed" the croc. so the only thing that i can imagine is that someone lied to his ass and didnt kill it hahaha

  • I think its kinda like Harry potter and Voldemort's wands in Goblet of Fire like 2 old freinds being reunited whereas Peter and Hook r enemys that help answer your question bneal?

  • ehem

Metal on Metal being slashed together if one sword is rough = sparks

    2. The crocks not really alive - it just fell and hook got eaten

  • i think all the croc was doing was...deflating haha and crashed on him.

  • I never understood if the croc was actually alive or if it was just the machine coming down on him?

  • The Magic of Steven Spielberg...

  • i like this part

  • Tick Tock the Croc

  • ROBIN FOR PRESIDENT

  • pan the venger is back

  • and the hook..... is waiting. Peter Pan!!!

  • What do you want old man ?

  • Just you

  • You've got me James Hook!

  • cosa sarebbe il mondo senza capitan uncino?

  • To die would be a great adventure.

    Death is the only adventure.

  • this was really cool! that scene bothers me to, but not the croc part, the part when peter gets cut, somehow, that looks like it would hurt!

  • ROBIN è UN MITO

  • This scene always bothered me as a kid. Isn't the crock dead? And if he isn't, why does he not move more? :P

  • lol exactely the same about me, it used to bother me always

  • Not Me-one of my favorite scenes - THe Croc is not dead i believe its "unconscious" in my opionion , i don't think it could move so much after being bound together and not moving for so long ( numb body - legs were asleep lol) had no choice but to fall face forward towards hook and hope to get lucky..and was

  • CAPTIN HOOK BEST EVER

  • Pan the avenger is back..... and the hook... is waiting.

  • Pan the avenger is back..... and the hook... is waiting.

  • How did that sword all a sudden appear in Hook's hand at the end when Peter is about to walk away?

  • it was a hidden dagger in his shirt arm. look carefully at the scene

  • Yeah.

There was some kind of mechanism hidden in his sleeve and THAT launched the dagger.

  • i would give anything to have hook come after me. of course if i know what i know know lets just say hed be gutless for sure

  • still the best peter pan movie eva

  • Ouch...guess that croc finally finished the job. lol

  • Dustin Hoffman's best role to date. :)

  • Definetly, this and Rainman

  • What about Tootsie? I bet it was the gayest role ever, huh?

  • hah yeah you could say that

  • I agree with both of you.

    ExcellenT acting!!

  • Anyone got a link for the scene prior to this when the Lost Boys first show up after Peter yells, "Bangerang!"?

  • what was so great about hook? Well he was the son of blackbeard if im not mistaken, and as for fighting children, The story states that peter pan ages one year every 100 years.. in one of the books he was 17, which makes him 1700 years old at least..you said he was afraid of clocks, clocks = time = death, he fears time might catch up to him, the crocodile also represents time catching up to him.. thats my impression of it anyway

  • lol who knew that the son of black beard would be black stache

  • as a kid for some reason i always thought the crock came back to life...now i thnk it just 'deflated' and fell apart on top of Hook. am i wrong?

  • good question, never really figured that out either

  • yes u r wrong lol - it did come (back) alive as you hear/see it roaring/moving it's head/jaws towards capt. Hook (cause of Hooks hook somehow reawaking it from something like a coma since hook said he "killed, stuff that cunning croc and made him into a quiet clock" but it seems it was only like half dead. and since it was bounded thats why it just fell + ate him in a single gulp

  • Hmmm...I think it was supernatural...

The croc came back from the dead to finally finish off Hook. Like a vendetta that had to be fulfilled. ;)

  • hehe. love this movie. Am i the only one who uses the phrase hook uses, "bad form!" because of this movie?

  • haha i use it too. ive been using it for years. lol. good form.

  • 1:12 when hook uses his....well hook, its just amazing

  • it doesnt matter where the clocks come from, its neverland they could imagine it haha!

    'you were alot taller before'

'to a ten year old im huge'

  • there should've been a funeral for Ruffio

  • where did all the clocks come from

  • the kids probably had their own clocks or took them from Hook's clock museum

  • Captain Hook waged a loosing battle against a group of children and was eaten by a crocodile. On top of that, the guy was afraid of clocks. Whats so great about him?

  • they werent ordinary children, they were kids who learned to deal with pirates through experience and probably things in their real life before becoming Lost Boys. Hook was afraid of clocks cause he feared the passing of Time, though he was an adult, you could say he feared getting older just like the kids did. and he feared the crocodile cause it swallowed a clock, so he associated the ticking with the crocodile

  • I love this movie!! I love Captain Hook! Dustin's Hoffman is the best Captain Hook ever!! Sorry if I spelled his name wrong :)

  • sumeone needs to upload the whole fight scene

  • dustin hoffman play's a great Hook

  • That's funny when the girl says to Hook that he needs a mommy very badly LOL

  • The ending of this movie is awesome I love it!

  • Good form Peter!!!

  • i like the bit where he goes no pain no gain james hook
