I saw a film from 1972 called Future Shock and it showed that simulated patients like this were already being used. How is this new after three and a half decades?

Simulated patients from three decades ago were not attached to computers. We did not record audio and video back then. And Johnny and Roy was just bringing patient care to the public in emergency. Try reading some history on patient care. There is a good story on how Rescue Anne got her face.
