And you were slowly losing that war. The UK couldn't win the war alone, so I wont say we saved your bacon because that does insult the sacrifice and bravery of British and commonwealth forces. But you have to admit, the USA was pretty signifigant in turning the tide of the war to the allies favor, and it probably would have stalemated had we stayed neutral.

Finally, as Allies we all won world war two and could not have done it without the others. Without America you wouldn't have beat Nazi Germanay, without the USSR you wouldn't have beaten the Nazis, and without the United Kingdom we wouldn't have beaten Hitler. So I'm sorry that some people claim one ally "won" the war, which is false.
