I have applied for a service dog so now just waiting but now when get clothes out of the dryer and put in the hamper do they get slobber all over them?
emyloverbug2 that is so awesome! I have a friend next door, has a wheelchair and takes his dog around the world with him. He sky dives, scuba dives, had his chair custom designed for mountain climbing, he's a photographer and journalist. He's a father and takes his little girl on his lap when he rides through town. He was a stunt man and always will be! Hellofa nice guy
A year ago I found out that I was apparently born with a cavernous angioma in my temporal lobe. For years doctors thought I had what I called "fits' was because of low blood sugar. Now that I am 49 years old, the "fits" which I now know are seisures are getting worse. I would love to get a seizure assistance dog, but they are very expensive and usually have a long waiting list. I think they are a godsend and would give anything to have one of my own.
I have been a service dog puppy trainer for a long time and seeing a video with the ''finished product'' makes the 24/7 work with pups all worth while! If you love dogs and want to help people...it's a great way to volunteer your time and money!!
I know this is a late comment but I hope you get this - I want to train service dogs but everywhere I lok gives me different info, what qualifications do you need to do it?
I singlehandedly trained my staffie - who was abused and very frightened so lashed out and didn't understand any commands when we got her - and she is now a happy, obediant dog and lives with my mother and 5 year old sister :-) So I believe I have that ability and empathy within it and I want to put it to good usee
That was great!!! 5 stars :-) (and 4 paws up) I'm going to get a service dog myself, but right now just begining the process for that to happen. I have Aspergers Synderim along with ADD. Dogs are truely gifts from heaven, God bless you for sharing this vid.
We have a National Service dog who has been disqualified but has full training. She was donated for our Down syndrome son and it has changed our lives. Best friend in the world.
I have self a service dog and i now how fantastic this dog is. He is a good worker. The movie is wonderful! I't a quicly dog. I love it. My dog is it to!
Always a joy to see their joy at giving. Just the tip of the iceberg - service dogs for the disabled, the blind, the deaf, the autistic - they detect drugs, explosives, CANCER, seizures, blood sugar variations, narcolepsy - they fight criminals, they find missing children and disaster survivors, they take care of our livestock and guard our homes and so much more. If only man could be the dog's best friend...

Just look at those tails wagging and you know they love the work.
My lab loves nothing more than to have a task to do. It keeps her happy to do things for me, even if it's just bring back the tennis ball.

Deaftuber, our service dogs are not slaves. Mine is happiest when he is working. If he didn't want to work, I wouldn't make him.

I"m glad you said they look happy while working. Cause I actually feel bad for these dogs, being slaves.

As someone who is disabled; hoping to get a service dog - looking at what a SD can do gives me hope for an active and fulfilling future.

Great video. Just a suggestion but you can find tags for your service dog at a site called doggydmv, tags are so much cooler than vest.
