  • yeah were just going to make up a song that i wrote in 93.... anton you suck.

  • How I wish we could get an upload with part + and part 2 togther, because this little mini-nugget is an understated highlight of Newcombe's career, a career full of understated (and overstated) highlights. The most brilliantly played 3 chords ever.

  • Best version of Feel It. Anton and the Angels really bring the rythym...

  • love

  • @thecxk this is actually the peel sessions version...anton later recorded the newer version...i like both, but prefer this version

  • this may be the most orgasmic thing i've seen in a very long time

  • whats the name of the song ?

  • @gerryskate357 Feel it

  • @gerryskate357 this is the song titled "feel it" from the album who killed sgt pepper. but in a veeery different and awesome way.

i love the album version too. genius stuff.

  • I dont care if he is an ass or not, he is super talented and everything he touches turns to gold.

  • "Stirring pasta far too fast" or "If that cat doesn't stop crying... I'm gonna tear it a new cat-flap", are two song titles that have nothing much to do with this post.

  • Fuck Anton. Zen Guerrilla stomps all over you.

  • those of us who get anton and get this groove, we will populate the escape ships to the other galaxies, those of you who don't, who bitch and complain, will build our launching pads and feed our dogs and shovel their shit in our interstellar absence.

  • @TubobRainbowUnicorn What you said.

  • @TubobRainbowUnicorn

    Right on!

  • That couldn't be made up!

  • Can you "feel it"?

  • This collaboration IS, IS, IS, modern psychedelia

  • FUCK YOUR OPINION OF GOOD MUSIC, if it moves you, than it is GREAT MUSIC!

  • I love it and I don't give a flying rat's ass how many chords it is. Anyway, The Brian Jonestown Massacre rules!!!!

  • @racerxnsx sry ...wanted actually to press thumbs up!

  • I had to change my pants after reading the title.

  • i've juste made a heart attack at 30 seconds..

  • BJM n the black angels - that is one fucking EPIC concert. idk what id do if i was in the same building as Anton n the bjm n the black angels. I'd probably wake up n cry that i was only dreaming.

  • I love how this genre of music makes me feel.

  • left handed rick, dont see that often

  • there s no more now wasting my time.. HIGHER

this is awesome, anton with his friends of the black angels. perfect combination.

    i wish i was there

  • PEOPLE TAKES NOTES, these are real musicians, it's not about an image, they aren't fighting to push out ripping solos, they aren't fighting for the spotlight, they play music because they LOVE it and together I think you'll agree their sound is pretty awesome.

    Death to crap music!

  • No idea why Antone is such a pretentious dick, but, he is. Love the Angels, but this is terrible.

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • no belly fat there then

  • bjm is sooooo overrated

  • @kamaboko1 WHAT???

  • @kamaboko1 Your opinion sucks

  • @phalon4500 No, your opinon sucks. So does Anton's music.

  • Awesome! what a jam...... like a mantra

  • @bjmissex You own a roland juno, isn't that better for bass type sounds? Sounds like they are using some sort of hammond/organ type patch, i just experment so i am no expert.

  • FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKERS !

  • how do i get a sound out of my synth like that at the beginning?? I have a roland juno di?

  • @bjmissex HE is playing out of a Moog, which is a pretty authentic sounding synth. Pretty hard to match imo

  • DAMN I shoulda been there!

  • Anton and Black Angels - perfect!

  • Moog

  • Im suprise it was a showcase....

  • The Cold War Direction do a genius cover of this song, I actually thought it was their's to begin with until I heard this.

  • Comment removed

  • huh? i thought this was a jam

  • na, its actually a BJM track called 'Feel It' and you can find it on the album Pol-Pot's Pleasure Penthouse. Cheers!

  • @KCCheifers well, 'feel it' is on their new album, Who Killed Sgt Pepper.....and i've never heard of the album you mention and i thought i had heard all of them!

  • @KCCheifers Where can I find this

  • It is on the new album, but it was originally recorded a while back. The album (Pol-Pot's) is available for download somewhere on the internet, dig on.

  • N°1

  • boring

  • well no one fucking cares

  • goddamn that is one bad motherfucker. truely an artist

  • Havent heard this song before.really nice

  • yeah he's good but he's a massive douche. its unfortunate

  • In What way?

  • "People talk about Eric Clapton. What has he ever done except throw his baby off a fuckin' ledge and write a song about it?" - Anton Newcombe

  • I think that a throwaway comment does not a douche make, his music towers over Claptons guitar wank. Long live the new flesh!

  • whatever

  • I dunno what the -2 is for he really is kinda a douche you guys should watch DiG! if you doubt it.

  • yea but----thaank god for mental illness

  • weather you think hese a douche or not is irelevent. he has made some down right amazing music and still is. and of cource hese gonna be portraid as something like a douche...that film was a pile of edited footage...there going to take all the "exiting" douche like footage...to make the film more entertaing for stupid people

  • I completely agree with you and I like him and his music, and yes I agree that you can't judge him based on a few hours edited from thousands of hours of film.

However.. everyone in the film basically said he was a douche and that he was impossible to work with.

  • This is so great because people piss all over Anton. He is so fucking talented (Black Angels are too).

  • love it!

  • I definitely care.

  • I definitely care!

  • GOD MOOG

  • Kewl Jam, improvision is always good when you can pull it off at the drop of a hat ( ESPECIALLY WHILE AT SOUTH BY SOUTHWEST FESTIVAL!)

  • plenty of armchair warriors out here quick to give their opinions that never have mattered. thankyou anton for your music

  • i can't stand people who badmouth someone for using just a few chords, like they have made it. feel the music, instead of trying to figure out if they used the chords/notes you were taught by your lame ass guitar teacher, who also didn't make it. once again, feel the music

  • really?

  • leave radiohead out of this, nobody cares. douche.

  • You either get or you don't.

  • Asolute magic!

  • about the 3 chord thing...it doesn't matter. the sound of the song matters. does it sound good? who cares how much of a musician anyone is? the songs are important. that's what it boils down to.

  • f'n genius!

  • fucking great sound. im amazed. i love the guitar riff anton

  • It is not a question of three chords or whatever, it's about create a fucking great sound experience. Dude, it's like taking LSD, that's awesome. If you to listen to pretentious lame music with elaborate chords, listen to one of this boring 70's hard rock band.

  • totally agree with you. some of these fucked up bands with even more fucked up chords like incubus or radiohead will never rock as much as the BJM, Warlocks etc.

  • Dude as much as I agree that it's about the feeling and not the complexity of the music, did you seriously just lump Radiohead and Incubus together? They are about as similar as Avril Lavigne and the Wu-Tang Clan.

  • @homere9999 Well, you nailed it! I play music and I personally write 3-4 chord music mainly in 4/4 time. Not because thats all I can do,Ive been playing 20 years, got my 1st bass at 14. Ive played in Rush,Yes,Speedmetal, and other overplay type bands, its just not for me.I want to make music I can feel. Same thing with listening to bands. I truly believe one can write an incredibly talented song using 1 or 2 chords.

  • brian jonestown massacre soo underated

  • i see that alex from the black angels can fill joel gion's tambourine shoes so easily. haha. black angels go hard as fuck. you cats just don't know bout it.

  • To the smarmy cunt whos brain is so fucking small that all he can do is criticise the chords. First of all, you can write a mind blowing song with as little as two chords, you just have to look at the velvet Underground for that. Secondly, have you even listened to any BJM or actually read any of the lyrics? Because lyrics combine with chords and make songs fuck face.

  • why don't you guys have an award winning documentary about your band, and revolutionize a style a music, then come whine about the chords. The beatles have plenty of songs that are only a few chords, but they;re still renowned as fuck. stop being so naive. if all you can do is comment on the usage of a few chords, then you don't even deserve to watch this.

    this jam rocks

  • you'll find its more than three chords, he is a genius and surely if you could do any better I'm sure you'd be doing it ;-)

  • Just...Fucking mind blowing. The only fucking shit thing is, why the fuck cant I find the BJM version of this song? Its called "feel it".

  • the BJM never recorded that song, they just played it live

  • wrong. its on the peel sessions or the diane perry tape

  • Yes, on the Peel Sessions. Infact, I'm listening to it right now...

  • wring. peel sessions 1998

  • GOOD AUDIO

  • GOOD AUDIO

  • mystical vision messed-up personality

  • Wow, I never thought of it that way. You are so smart! Thank you!

  • what makes the chords stupid sir?

  • Yeah all rock and roll is the same chords repeated so i guess by your logic all rock is good music

  • If you will notice sir, just about every rock song created revolves around 3 or 4 chords.

But I think that several people on here have already exposed your underdeveloped understanding of three chords and music in general.

  • fucked up genious as they all come....

brings us a LSD sound experience....

  • Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up! Fuckin' rocks!

  • Great song, and anton is definitly a vistionary. However, when he says "we're going to make something up" that isnt true. The song is a BJM song called "feel it." Dont know if anyone cares, but just my input.

  • il solito grande anton

  • great song! Anton rules!!

  • its fucking great

  • good rockin' beat, this stuff never gets old!

  • Seeing BJM tonight in SF. First of 2 shows. BJM is amazing because they can reproduce live as well as in the studio. Last year they played here and they were awesome.

  • rock n roll motherfuckers

  • fuck man, peple argue over this band way too much.

of course theres gonna be hipster kids who think theyve found god because they own fucking tepid peppermint and none of their little punkster friends know who they are and they feel real original. but hey, watcha gonna do?

  • Went to Bonnaroo for Tool & The White Stripes. Came Back a fan of The Black Angels and Gogol Bordello. Love the fuzzy drone of TBA.

  • recently discovered TBA, and known BJM for a long-time...this can only be good...no, not good, but rather, amazing.

  • sounded pretty good to me, seen BJM in uk 5 times so far and got another 2 gigs in July, I know I wont be disappointed,

  • This has pretty cool sound quality.

  • Shut the fuck up you pretentious little indie hipster.

I'll bet it makes you feel good to think Anton Newcomb has another little wannabe twat in his dysfunctional army.

    Suck it!

  • Masterpiece

  • Trop BON.

  • The Black Angels are amazing in their own right. "Passover" is one of my favorite albums of 2006.

  • He didn't just make this up!

It's the progression from the BJM song "Feel it."

  • anyone know where i can find this in mp3 format?

  • Actually I guess it's rock n roll, right?

  • If only it were.

  • Actually I guess it's A-C-D, right?

  • I never really followed the band after that. There's been a lot of water under the bridge since then. I was surprised to hear someone had made a movie about the band, unflattering as it may have been. I've never seen it.

It sounds like Anton's had a hell of a ride since I ran into him that day. I can't say I'm blown away by the A-C-B jam on this video, but I wish him well for old times sake.

  • I remember really liking Anton, he seemed friendly, genuine, talkative and highly motivated to play music that meant something to him.

They invited me to come see a band they were either just putting together or in the process of rearranging. They said they were opening for ex-Spaceman Pete Kember, a show Anton was somehow instrumental in setting up because Kember had such difficultly playing shows in the U.S. because of drug charges in the U.K.

  • Anyway, one day he and a friend were walking past my house and we said hi and somehow started talking about music. He and his friend were huge Spaceman 3 fans and talked about them fairly worshipfully actually. His friend had seen them play in London and Anton seemed to think this was just about the greatest possible experience one could have.

  • I stumbled upon this video by accident looking for another Anton.

I met Anton in the early 90s, before there were any BJTM albums. I didn't really know him but I recognized him because he sometimes played guitar in doorways in my neighborhood near the Haight, looking fairly stoned much of the time.

  • I was talking to Stinkyedwards.

  • bjm is tha shit!

  • Lyrics:

"Hey, I'm Anton and I look like Marty Balin..

Where is my fix? Oh, I'm sick of suckin' Dandy Warhol dix!"

Naw, this is good footage.. the Black Angels are amazing..

  • Good live version of "Feel it".

Almost as good as the one they played in at the Primavera Sound Festuval '06. It was.... WOW...

  • This is a really nice slice of improvised music. Anton & the Black Angels are such an excellent match.

  • This is not improvised music, it's called Feel It!

  • no shit its feel it... in saying so that it is improvised would be what anton and the rest of the world would consider a joke. ...dip shit

  • A previous version of the song appears in The Peel Sessions as "Feel it"

  • The guy made a comment, moron.

Take your little indie-cool shtick back in mom's basement & watch 'Dig!' for the zillionth time.

    Fucking wannabe.

  • I was saddened that this didn't end with Anton smashing everything on stage or attacking the audience.

  • You can't appreciate the music?

  • fucking rite!!
