Obama goes out of his way to pass a bill that would help the lesser fortunate, those that's sick and can't afford to get treated, and this is the things he gets? Think about it, he could have easily chose bipartisan, but he chose to do the right thing which is beating the insurance companies so that people can afford health care. He specifically said that those who already have a plan can keep it. The main reason why Republicans don't want this bill is because most of them side with the corparate banks and insurance companies and that this bill will lower their profits. Also, a government health care plan (aka public option) would have to be created with another bill.

There could of been health reform without taking peoples freedoms away, stepping on the toes of people who already have insurance, and without putting us further into debt. They refused to cover people that are already sick and drop coverages for people that get sick. A health care reform would change that. This bill not only help the less financially fortunate, but it also insures that those who have been paying for health insurance will not get dropped from their coverage. It does not effect people that already have insurance.
