as far as the Zep influence , not likely since PF had more than 3 lps out to Zeps 1 when Meddle came out . More likely that Gilmours' influence came from the same as Pages', the 50's -60's country artists , And Gilmour was hanging out with Kenny Baker of Unicorn ( he wrote THERE'S NO WAY OUT OF HERE) around this time , playing pedal steel on some Unicorn material , I have 2 Unicorn lps with David playing on them , there is a very country feel to some songs , just like the guitar in Fearless .
