Check your speakers - the bass and the snare hit at different times. That's an imperfection. Studio recordings might be nearly perfect now because of the ability to "punch in" a billion times, but back when this was recorded - songs were done in one take. I'm not saying imperfections are a bad thing - they give these old songs character.
