FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE HAVING TROUBLE:

In your _system_ folder, have a new folder titled 'themes'. LOWER CASE! Throw away your proper grammar for this to work. In this themes folder: Have your new themes in their own folders labeled 'theme01' 'theme02' etc...NEVER CAPITALIZE THESE FOLDERS OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THEM!!!

Took me long enough to figure out. Make sure once you get your themes done, you get your good grammar back. Hope this helps mates!

My skins have been working perfectly on my DS for months now, but I accidentally clicked delete on my _system_ folder, and pressed cancel, so then I only had half my files in the end. I re-created the themes folder in the _system_ folder, and replaced my skins once again. For some reason now, it doesn't work, it might be because I've been putting several emulators on it, any thoughts?

Sorry, nevermind... turns out v1.18 is pretty strict on capital letters... apparently, the "themes" folder, and every "themeXX" folder have to be named in full caps.

Yea, if you did, they should work fine. If not, try backing up your card and reformatting your microSD card. Also, try downloading the newest version and placeing those files into the card.

To reformat the card, copy all the files from your DS (If you kept all your .nds files from when you first downloaded, it's easier to copy only your save files and the "_system_" folder) and put them onto your computer. After that, go to "My Computer", and right-click your microSD card, and click "Format".

hiya, i can help with this.

just changed my skin with v1.16 - hard work :/

i think the problem with non-working skin changes is that in order for the theme to work the system needs not 4 but 5 bmp/picture in order 2 run the title screen (but lots of downloads on the internet only offer 4 bmp, missing the gbaframe) just make sure you put wot ever theme/skin you just download with the gbaframe. itshould work. (you can download gbaframe from offical site r4ds under the v1.16)

In ur system folder there should be 4 images (dosnt have to be BTMAP) once you have downloaded the theme you want from a website simply copy it to, the folder where ur 4 images are. it should say do u wish to overright the other images press YES!!!!
