I'm Canadian, I went to film school in vancouver with a bunch of americans. They were the most awesome people that were as far from the american stereotype as possible. that being said... you wish you could play hockey the way we do
I can't seem to find a full highlight pack of this game, I watched one quite some time ago it was great quality and a solid like 9 or 10 minutes of highlights does anyone have a good video of this game (actually I would love this game in it's entirety if anyone knows of a place where I could download them)
Only a classless american would do something like tomahawk a player skating by, sadly I'm not surprised that it happened. Don't know what happened to JVR though I think he was just acting, didn't look like there was any injury anywhere near his face.

@Soundgarden4 Lacrosse was invented by the native American indians in America. Not Canada. However, Lax has somehow managed to become your national sport over hockey (which is incredible). So technically both of you are right. Congrats on the win tonight. Didn't get to see it, but it sounded like USA didn't even bother to show up. Oh well. So much for us going back to back.

Face it Canada, hockey is a 3rd class sport in the US and we still compete. We're even better than you at lacrosse, which, up until 1994, was YOUR national sport. We even send our worst football players to you and they dominate. Maybe if the other half of your country was inhabitable, you could be better at other things. Oh and 24 out of 30 teams in the NHL reside in the US because your country blows :)

I'm from Canada, and the one thing I can't stand about watching the world juniors when it's U.S.A vs Canada is listening to these fucking homers. the guy who got hit with the stick embellished it a little, and yet they don't bother pointing that out. Both U.S.A and Canada were wrong in this, the guy shouldn't have been skating that close to America's bench and the American player shouldn't have hit him with the stick...but no of course the good old Canadian boy did nothing wrong...

I don't know the entire rulebook. But if someone from the bench start something such as showing the stick out like that, I'm sorry to say the SOB should have been thrown out of the game.

@hockeymatt1994 The joys of internet flamers. You must be new to the game of hockey if you don't know what a bench penalty is. Players can skate where they want, and if anyone on the bench does anything to a player on the ice it results in a penalty.
To your earlier comment, the Canadian didn't deserve what happened.
Also if you had stuck your skate out at a player, I'm sure you be on the news due to chargers of assault.
Learn a bit more about the game before you start bitching at people.
