  • He hacks... At life.

  • @MrTroll456

    your name is fail

now everyone is gonna know u r trolling

  • @MrTroll456 And you can play better?

  • Enescu said he wasn't interested in perfection, just emotion. I assume he would have changed his mind if YT was invented during his lifetime... It's just as perfect as are Chopin studies played by Maurizio Pollini, a perfectly flowing sound, clear and controlled but still capricious as the stream is.

  • Impresionante!

  • What a genius at violin! He is both technical and musical. Great dynamics and tonal control...

  • I have home videos of Paganini that would school this dude.

  • @schifferbrainz there are no videos of paganini because he lived far earlyer when there were videos, they only drew pictures of him about 200 years ago

  • Please do not compare.

  • itzak perlman, the best violinist of all. enough said. in this caprice, he does it just right in each variation. not too much and not a single thing less. 1 word - Perfection!!!

  • @SuperSupraWei . best alive maybe. Niccolo Paganini was the best violinist of all time.

  • @Guitarwhore10328 personal preference here. for me, by listening and comparing most violinists with Perlman, perlman is the best. His play is so expressing and yet very neutral. like i said in my other comment, he does it JUST RIGHT. I have listened Niccolo's version of this caprice 24, the way he played, seemed like he is trying a little too much to make it special if you get me. whereas perlman, very flowy, not too much and not a thing less. still 1 word - Perfection :)

  • @SuperSupraWei Wow where did you get the audio of Niccolo playing this?

  • @EgroegII

He must have found this on YT. Paganini died a long time before any recording technology has been invented ; look, Liszt lived much longer but there's no recording of him, though he would have probably been the first asked to do so...

  • DUDE, that was awesomnessss!!!!! i swear there is no song that man has not played, everytime i look up a song youtube the first result is always Itzhak Perlman with 1000000 views

  • Comment removed

  • I can never do the plucking part... the rest I can do... to an extent...

  • HOOOOOLLLYY FUCKING SHHIIIITTT.

  • Holly mother of satan!

  • Génial !!!

  • no, mistrzostwo świata. Jakbym słuchał Mistrza Nicolo...

  • I tried to play this song

the doctors had to amputate my hand afterwords

  • @TheMieberlake When a top comment classified this video as a song, I thought some random youtube snob was going to threaten to find you and kill you. Oh yes, there ARE people like that.

  • ANXIETTYYYYY ATTTTACK!!!

  • Comment removed

  • i failed at the first page....

  • Hey, Skillful, Perlman !!!!!

  • This is INSANE!

  • I bet Paganini would even be impressed. I doubt there is, if any, change or misinterpretation from the original score. How anyone could not like this performance is absolutely beyond me.

  • *vomits furiously*

    insane.......

  • es increible la cancios es hermosa

  • mind blowing.

  • only perlman...

  • Shortcuts to the different caprices:

    1:36 Caprice 5.

    4:04 Caprice 24.

  • I don't think that Paganini could not play his caprices as good as Perlman. The violin technique has progressed a lot since he lived, there are also higher demands on professional musicians today.

  • Why he sounds better than ole Johnny Gimble, when he played at the Grand Ole Opry!!!! I didn't think anyone could outdo Johnny.

  • :O

    O.M.G.

    Thats fricken amazing

  • Excelente! quisiera algun dia tocar asi... me conformo con tocar una sola vez correctamente estas obras =)

  • Holy crap. HOLY CRAP. There has just never been anyone as good at the violin as Perlman. Ever.

  • @TheForeignersNetwork I would like to think Paganini.

  • I came listen to the all.

  • ignore that comment haha, sheet music >.<

  • How do you even remember this

  • I think 28 people don't have ears to appreciate such masterpiece of violin skills >_>'

  • he must be on drugs to play this :D

  • Não sou muito fã do 1, mas o Itzhak é o itzhak e o Paganini é o Paganini, então é ótimo.

  • THUMBS UP IF YOU JUST TO LISTEN TO #5!!! (Please!)

  • awful

  • My favourite version of Caprice 1, sets the scene for the whole suite.

  • Eu me pergunto como é que alguém ainda tem a coragem de colocar o "não gostei" em Itzhak Perlman, sério mesmo...

  • I'm literally scared just by thinking that someday I have to study these!

  • muito fodaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Diablo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nº 5 is fuckin metal, wtf are you guys talking about?

  • (APPARENTLY) 27 people can do better!

  • I'm starting to work on this insane s***! His capricces would be like Suzuki book 100000000!

  • I have to say that Perlman is obviously amazing, but I like Markov's performance a bit better. Any body agree? i think because Perlman sticks to the beat and rhythm and Markov, I feel, explores the piece.

  • @stephenreynolds0220 I agree, Markov has so much more passion and energy and emotion in his performance than perlman. Perlman would be good to listen to if you want to try to learn the piece techinically, but Markov plays the piece the way music should be played

  • @brownsfan1325 When you make an instrument your life's passion, there is no questioning the fact that the player has great emotion for his instrument and the music of that instrument. Watch a few of Itzhak's interviews and maybe you'll feel differently. As far as Itzhak not exploring: He's one of the most perfect musicians in our world today for that reason. Itzhak plays the music as the composer meant it to be--the way their music should be played.

  • when i viewed this... i couldnt close my mouth

  • jhaja, paganini le queda perfecto a perlman

  • Dam this make me happy ;D!

  • aw 27 people are tonedeaf and can't appreciate true music =[

  • this is absolutely amazing. i have no idea why, but im crying. this is so beautiful.

  • @ViolinLover234 judging by your nickname I presume you love classical.... now do you wanna hear ( well read!) something curious? Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal and etc sound exactly like this, only instead of violins you got electric guitars. In my opinion, Heavy Metal is an electric way to play classical. cool hah.... cheers man have a nice day.

  • @MercedesKawasaki I hope you just joking saying "Heavy Metal is an electric way to play classical" :) Show us some samples of "sounf exactly like this" and we will laughing comparing Paganini music with your samples :)

  • @ankolov well, I bet you can hear complexity in classical music right? some aren't that complicated but some (like paganini or shostakovich) are. Listen to meshuggah or opeth and you should be able to relate classical music in the sound. If not, you're perhaps a narrow minded thinking human being.

p.s. I'm aware that it'll not sound "exactly like this".

    Have fun laughing, smug basterd.

  • @MercedesKawasaki I hope to not come across as ignorant of other genres of music (as I actually listen to many modern music), but there is NO WAY to even put Heavy Metal close to this. How do you think classical music could survive till this very day, loved by many, and donned the most elegant, universal, interpretative of all? There's no such thing as to play electric classical. Sorry but not even electric violins. I know you meant no harm, but it was quite insulting to these masterminds.

  • @contrymnon Actually metal is extremely similar to classical, especially in the techniques involved in violin and guitar playing. Both genres are heavy in technical skill, dynamic changes, changing time signatures, odd keys/modes etc. Both styles (especially when compared to the works of paganini) are extremely fast, and rely heavily on the skill of the soloist like a lot of metal. If Paganini was alive today he would be the worlds greatest guitar shredder.

  • @isnipenoobs The guitar and the violin are both string instruments so it's a figure. The basic theories and 'similarities' you listed are the same for every type of music. Every instrument and style rely heavy on the soloist's skills no? It took more than skills for virtuoso like Listz and Paganini to become an overnight sensation. Classical music is an adored form of art not just by its amazingly complex rhythmic, emotions and sensations. And no, Paganini would still be a violin virtuoso.

  • @contrymnon Paganini was equally as skilled on guitar, just thought you should know

  • @WoWdeadbabies Yes I do know. And quite phenomenal with the viola also. I have some scores that were written by Paganini for violin, viola and guitar. :)

  • @contrymnon They arent the same for every type of music, I would say the only genre that is on the same level as classical and metal is jazz. And not every style of music relies heavily on instrumental soloists: pop, rock, rap, country etc. Also you are implying that metal or jazz for that matter since it is relevant does not have emotion and sensations. You sound like a typical elitist jerk that only likes classical.

  • @isnipenoobs So you're saying pop, rock, rap, country don't need "skill, dynamic changes, time signatures, odd keys/modes ect" and soloists? If you really took my words as offensive then sorry but I meant no harm. Thanks for the insult btw, but I don't need to just listen to classical to know much about it. Many things I came to understand about classical were acquired by listening to other genres. I don't want to argue here cause that would disrupt others that come here and listen to Paganini.

  • @isnipenoobs Do you realize that as a violinist you spend the first few months learning where exactly to place your fingers, violins dont have frets. If you are a hair off then you are playing a different note. This is something every violinist has to learn, were not even talking about things like how clearly this piece is played because of things like bow control, and left hand finesse. Though i myself am a metal fan classical is not compareable to metal. Jazz is crap made by heroin addicts.

  • @AngryKhan

So just cause the pioneers of the genre used smack, the music they produced is crap?

How is it logical that you judge a genre by the performers and not the music? Don't let that cloud your judgement. If you dislike Jazz, so be it; if you dislike the performers lifestyle, that's a whole different arguement.

  • @AngryKhan

"Paganini was no stranger to chronic illnesses...He was diagnosed with syphilis as early as 1822, and his remedy, which included mercury and opium"

  • @contrymnon I'm truly sorry if I have offended you, i certainly meant no harm as you said....perhaps I got over excited about the fact that I love classical as much as a love Metal. It's almost like comparing an american V8 muscle car and a big German saloon like an A8: they're both cars only it's not the same essence. Anyways thanks for sharing your opinion man, and have an awesome day!

  • Amazing!

  • OOMMGG!!!! Paganini's work is amazin

  • oh mi gooooooooooooood it's so insane

  • @BeautifulThrix56 lemme guess, your mom is asian?

  • @BeautifulThrix56 Great post. Still laughing...

  • all I can say is WOW. I used to hate playing Vivaldi but this is otherworldly

  • @mxgirl918 why did you hate playing vivaldi? I like playing it.

  • @XxfireblastxX I only learned to appreciate Baroque and technical pieces much later.

  • @mxgirl918 explains a lot ;)

  • nowicjuszy w muzyce poważnej prowadzę do czasu nagrania - 4:03 ; )

  • Who are those 25 idiots? Don't hide. Come out and tell us who you are.

  • this is definetely my favorite violinist ever... i wish we were related :)

  • 25 idiots never learn the true beauty of music.

  • great! fantastic!

  • C'mon, this is YouTube, not YouMP3. Let's upload video along with the music. I really wanted to see the performance along with listening to the music.

  • paganini... only the most insane violinist ever. :) my idol...

  • Replay button is my friend … xD

  • LOVE IT !!!!!!! :D

  • I tried the 4 firsts measures, I succeed … But the rest O.o

  • Love it … <3 Violin powever & Perlman rules ! YEAH

  • Wow, that first one is crazy. Andante... Suuuuure...

  • @PianoOnWheels yep, agreed ... I have yet to hear a more-or-less proper Andante tempo which is also made to work ;-)

  • I didn't now Michael Angelo Batio plays the violin....

  • @davide325 yeah, pretty similar tone...

  • Why only skip to no. 24 when you've got two masterpieces right before it.

  • 24 yanni fans stumbled upon this accidentally

  • I'm confused....

  • i can see why Yngwie loves Paganini so much

  • @MisterPapageno I agree Accardo is also splendid!

  • It is call STACATTO /// Heifetz sayz once , the best stacatto is played by romanyan Grigoras Dinicu ! So ... ADIOS !!

  • @sdoruconstantin

Staccato not Stacatto (and it's Pizzicato, anyway)

  • I would kill, I would give all my money, I would sell my precious amazing guitar to get back in times to see Paganini playing his caprices himself...

  • I agree this is the top of the legendary recordings of Panini's Caprice.Bravo!!!

  • @rabbit055jp I would add: Perlman's and Accardo's recording are the best ever :)

  • 4:05

    caprice no.24

  • @hi123456789011 dumbass

  • @hi123456789011 why? whats wrong with no.1 and no.5?

  • mais ele toca muito!!!

  • 6:51 ..... wtf ??? xD i think not impossible but.... mhhhh

  • @H0m0f1rST it's called stacatto :)

  • @Globzter Wrong....... It is actually called "left-handed pizzicato while still bowing at the same time"

  • @runla2 Yes.. Although its not bowing exactly, its more like a "tapping" with the tip of the bow.

  • @mixailaggelos2004 This "tapping" would still be called "arco" which is "bowing" which is what I said, "bowing and left-handed pizzicato" :)

  • @runla2 You're right ^^. And this from a violinist, just like yourself I guess ;).

  • @questcequevousvoulez Haha... no, I am an ex-violinist turned cellist :)

  • Paganini was infamous for child molesting, spent most of his jail time playing the violin.

  • Ithzak is always too modest. He praises Yehudi and others while playing his heart out here. Compare him to David Oistrakh. Both had great strength and fortitude and would tackle the most demanding pieces with gusto and intensity. Also Ithzak is a pleasant person and cares about other people, esp in the business.

  • how does he play so fast with such fat fingers?

  • @TheCaptainKanada I know right? I guess he has amazing God-given violin skills....he is truly a gifted violinst

  • @TheCaptainKanada Moreover, how can he possibly play the left hand pizz. so well with those mits!?

  • thumbs up if you came here just to listen no.24

    U.U

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt And 1st … :)

  • Comment removed

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt if that is it, I'll ask everyone to, at least, listen to º5, which, in my opinion, is the best recording of it ever made.

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt no.......

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt

And who put thumbs down want the bis xD

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt dumbass no.2

  • @Vesivian mother****** no.1 an winner

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt Actually, I came here to listen to no.05, as it is my favorite. :D

  • СУПЕР !!! Нет слов которыми можно было бы выразить восторг !!! Дай Бог Вам здоровья и долгих лет творчества !!!

  • boring

  • @Jerkicus You're boring

  • @Jerkicus

your mom is boring in bed

  • @Jerkicus

    you're violin is boring

  • Why, in God's name, do movies avout classical music get a silly view rate, a robot playing the violin is getting 5 million views, and this masterpiece is left inthe dark with 700 000, even worse, the caprice 24 from hilary hahn only got 9000 views so far.

Where is this world going to if people can't enjoy classical music anymore?

  • An0niempje + 510shredder = BIG BITCH FIGHT

    XD

  • @ 5:23 my favorite part.. :)

  • I think he played every note :)

  • niceeeeeeeee!

  • @carmyvinci I think he was all three

how can you be a genius without being mental??

  • lol such stupid arguments that have no relevance whatsoever to the video. Listen to the music!!! :)

  • all I know is that every human has the right to hear this wonderful music

  • what about animal's rights??

  • @xxxdmfgmxxx What do u mean by animal rights? Paganini is the HARDEST, THE MOST COMPLICATED SONGS and COMPOSER EVER!!!!!!!!!

  • @musicgirl2318 all I was doing was kidding 510shredder and An0niempje that have had a londiscussion about rights

  • 22 soul-less husks have watched this video.

  • Maravilloso!!! Me he quedado sin palabras

  • 22 dislikers should be forced to listen to Andre Rieux

  • @hakareach

...should be forced to listen to André Rieux - 22 years long!

  • Completely, utterly inmmersed in the music!

    What a joy!

  • Not even a Mankind-like playing lol Wordless .

  • Paganini is said to have sold his soul to the devil to be able to make music like this

  • He was 27 when he recorded this. THIS IS SWEET STUFF

  • I wanna hear Paganini play that ! Did he just try that with his violin ? :D

  • Perlman & Paganini rules ! I will play it in, I think, 2 years :D

  • Charlie Daniels watched this 22 times.
