George Bush Jr took more vacation during his first year than Obama, and in fact took off over 2-1/2 years total over his two terms. George Bush Jr took more vacation during his first year than Obama, and in fact took off over 2-1/2 years total over his two terms. I would have been happy if he'd have just taken all of 2002-2004 off. You want to talk about out to lunch? The whole reason troops don't get a Christmas vacation is because the military is spread so thin from the useless war Bush declared (Iraq, people) that they're working double and triple deployments for people that aren't there (like gays for instance).
