I've never seen the British version of the show. I watched the 90's US version when I was a kid. Seems like the contestants on this version are more reluctant to grab things during the sweep. That one girl was even putting things back on the shelf. I noticed their sales totals are less than what the American contestants would end up with and yet the amount of time they got was similar.

Only £271..? In the US the contestants would normally rack up around $1000 worth of groceries.

@Pino4649 Well.. compared to the american series.. Dale's Supermarket Sweep was on daytime telly The money for that would be £1000 as a major prize during that time anyway..

@VanishingWish No, it's not. The UK version began in 1993, the original US version ran from 1965 to 1967 and the US revival with David Ruprecht ran from 1990 to 1995 and 2000 to 2003. Get your facts straight before you try to correct people.
