  • this amp is priced appropriately for what it excels at:

a hand wired 5 watter that gets saturated at a reasonable volume with an unrivaled tone

    perfect for studio recording/work

sure it may not be the most versatile amp but that is not this amps strength anyway

  • despite being a gibson man, i always thought dender stayed true to the player by not overprcing their stuff and maintaining a fairly good quality to price ratio on their products. but this dissapoints me

  • mmmmmm. Gold anodized. :D

  • i didn't know the Geico Caveman liked Jazzmasters

  • Sounds amazing and the craftsmanship Im sure is astonishing...but $1000? you could get a princeton for that much

  • is that the thin skin reissue us Jazz?

  • @ChrisPlugged It sure looks like the '59 model that a few American dealers sold. Wildwood Guitars was one of them.

  • apperantly people bitch about the price until they play one themselves, i gotta try this

  • Even tho it's pricey, it's still the cheapest hand wired amp I've seen so far

  • @stretch90 look at vintage silverface fenders, i got a 1973 twin reverb for $450, and they're all handwired

  • @GearFeed

Are those supposed to be very good? I'm wondering why it's cheaper than the reissue blackfaces.

  • Too expensive for an amp like this. All this retro year type of equipment shouldn't cost as much as it does. If its understood that these guitars or amps or whatever were made better in the old days, why don't they do the same thing they've done before, for models today? So what? In the year 3016, are people still going to be yearning for a 1962' amplifier? Come on, it's rediculous.

  • the reverb is magnificient

  • I think the pricing is justified. I found that some tweed amps produce a sound that is clearer, meaning not muffled compared with less expensive amps. I think a drawback to this tweed amp is that it doesn't have pristine clean tone that you'd hear from say a Vibro-King or to a lesser degree a Super, Twin or Deluxe Reverb .

  • @todmills agreed - they don't clean up as well.... still a nice amp tho.

  • that was beautiful

  • that jazzmaster is pure love ♥

  • Isn't this the Caveman guy from the Geico commercials!!? Awesome... he can rock too!

  • i think guitar hardware in general is getting waaay to expensive. I mean is nostalgia really worth this much?

  • still an amazing sound, but as already said it's way to expensive u can get handwireds 5f1 champs from some small amp builders for like 380-500€

  • how much the reverved ampli cost in the usa? thx

  • dreaming sound..cool!

  • is dat Jesus playin?

  • @sllusus yes, he's trying to perform a miracle of people paying a thousand bucks for this

  • thats the greatest comment I've heard in a while lol

  • @EPICFAILSAM lol thanks man

  • can anybody help me with the t-shirt this guy's wearing? what brand? nice sound btw :)

  • ocean pacific

  • I appreciate it a lot!

  • oh boy, that is sweeeet music right there : ) mmmmh

  • this is awesome. love jazzmasters, always fender for me

  • sounds like a part from the song Schism

  • I don't think the price is that bad , I bought a Fulltone tape delay and paid the same amount. Fuck it its only money. Maybe Im a yuppie dipshit poser But I have a lot of cool shit to play with!

  • what is the name of this song?

P.S.: Great Playing and Great Fender sound! :)

  • Nice! One of the best amp demos I have seen. Displays the sound & dynamics beautifully without resorting to the same inane blues riffs ad nauseum.

This guy should demo all of Fender's amps!

  • @steffenla4

    Totally agree!!

  • The "noodling"/changes in dynamics show the amp/speaker is touch-sensitive and "big" sounding despite the small size/low power. A better demo of the sound than some BS "hot licks" video would present. I love comments by folks who have no clue (the beard notes are laughable - what is this, 1968 Alabama?).

If some of you can use a calculator - add parts cost, build hours, R&D, advertising, overhead & even minimal profit - the cost makes perfect sense - do the math.

    "mic distortion"? Sigh...

  • thats a sweet little post rock riff. .

  • iT SOUND WITH MIC DISTORTION

  • Keith Richards says he likes it.

  • how do you know?

  • cool song....catchy

  • Yeah, sweet little amp.....$500-$600 maybe, but $1000 street price ? Whatever they're smokin' at Fender must be awful good........I'd be embarassed to own something so overpriced and I like Fender amps ! I'd feel like a yuppie, poser, dipsh*t.

  • @flknstky 500$ is the price of a Blues Junior, this amp is just killer and hand-wired. I think it worth it.

  • This amp sounds pretty cool, but I think it's ridiculous for Fender to price it at $1,000. Is tweed really that expensive, Fender, or are you just trying to make your yacht payments?

  • @aquasloth Its all down to the guts of the Amp, theres no PCB tracing everything is point to point wired by hand also a solid pine cabinet and an alnico speaker bump the cost up somewhat, Im not a Fender rep by the way, just love what they do, I cant afford this amp either but If I had $1000 id buy one as a future investment.

  • @joelbyrne You're right. My buddy has a '57 Deluxe and the warmth is just astonishing. You only get that sound from a hand-wired amplifier. You barely notice that reverb is absent when you're playing through it. And if you're a reverb junky like me, it's a lot for me to say that. I still think Fender equipment is moderately priced when you compare them to some of the boutique amps out there.

  • I like his mid-70's retro look, complete with OP shirt. All the guys I knew back then looked like that. Those chord forms he's playing will get you "message in a bottle", by the way. Cool sound !

  • sounds fucking wicked!

  • You're an idiot. Watch the Strat demos if you want that crap. This is ace.

  • sounds cool and awesome HD you can even read the patent numbers :O

  • the best quality i've ever seen in youtube!!

  • Epic

  • They show a shot of the headstock with the model name on it at 1:00. Great sound out of this little beast!

  • do you think that the guitar or amp adds the most to the sound? it sounds awesome anyways.

  • short and sweet. good video fender, you are learning and kickin ass!

  • HD!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That wxas really cool, but too short :( !

  • I love that guitar

  • jazzmaster....its in the info box

  • It's actually a jazzmaster, the body is the same but the way to differentiate the two is by the pick ups.

  • oh - actually the switching and muting system. my bad.

  • yea im liking that

alot of bite in the tone

  • God, that Jazzmaster looks and sounds beautiful... Fender, please, please, please start reissuing Sherwood Green Jazzmasters, or even make a Candy Green one! I'd be the first to buy it.

  • im diggin the looks of that guitar. however the electronics look wierd. im a strat man. nice and simple

  • jazz masters are very simple too...

the round knobs are volume and tone. witha 3-way toggle. the rhythm circuit wheels up top are just a volume/tone for the neck pup(diff circuit)

  • i liked that song
