The good ol' days when KISW and KXRX battled it out for the top dog of Seattle rock. I really miss Robin & Maynard, and their cast of crazies, especially Roy Otis!
at the time, i heard that "flick" refers to comics (ok, graphic novels) where this word looks too much like a 4-letter word.
KISW went downhill around 1990 or so. i miss "FM 100", Slaton (doing shots on-air w/Bo Roberts), Robin & Maynard, Crow & West and "Won't Get Fooled Again" in the top 10 of the Top 1000.
I loved this group when I first heard them on the Seattle airwaves. I'm sure it was KISW 99.9 FM...Seattle's Best ROCK! It might have been a taping at the 'Bob's Garage' series. I still have a rather good recording of it that I happened to catch one day while listenin' to the radio. Alice in Chains, Candlebox, Gruntruck, Mother Love Bone, Nirvana, Peal Jam, Screaming Trees, Soundgarden, Sweetwater, Tad, Temple of the Dog....Now that was an awesome period in the Seattle rock scene. LL Grunge!
