Great version! Our five-piece old-timey folkabilly band, "Earnest Hem'n'haw" has a version of this we play regularly, in Litchfield, CT actually! In fact, we're playing Ditto's this Saturday, 6/6/09
Hello . I am lucky to be able to read English but Ive never learned how to read dots or tab . Its all by ear for me .. I do miss a ton because of it but the style I have comes from the years of doing it from my ear .. All the best , Yours Guy
Hey Josh enjoyed yours clips.. I have a pottery shop out in the Bantam section of Litchfield . If your ever in the area stop by . WHo made the brass plaited frettless ?. Beautiful looking and sounding .. All the best , Guy
It's a Chuck Lee Deep Hollow Vintage. Couldn't really afford it but the sound just sucked me right in. Probably paid more because of the interest but it was certainly worth it.
Hello TT.. No this is a dobson style Mike Ramsey but the pot is wider and deeper then anything else he has made.. It was a "one off" that he made for Tony at the fretted workshop in Amherst Mass.. It is a wonderful banjo .. I will have to change the strings this year sometime I guess .. All the best , Guy
Enjoyed it, Guy. Very fine playing & singing. I noted your comments on my son Clifton's page. There's several old & new vids of Clif playing on my site that you might enjoy. I used to throw some fine pots too, so that's also fun to see. Glad I checked you out.
Great meeting the whole family !! Thanks for having a look .. I dont get out much around banjo friends so this has been a great way to meet great people .. All the best , guy
