I am part of a mostly Atheist student group that recently gave a presentation comparing neopagan groups like Satanism to Christianity, and how they function in society and what positive and negative effects they have. Personally, I would say that the average Atheist is more open to the idea that there may be a God than the average Christian is open to they idea of there not being one. Most Atheists accept that fact that God cannot be disproved.

The only possible way to know how it truly was created would be to have actually been there 13 billion years ago. But just like a book, you don't know the finish until you've read through it. Ok, this is the way I see it.
Science is not the answer to where the Universe came from. It's just simply an attempted explanation of its origin. The only possible way to know how it truly was created would be to have actually been there 13 billion years ago. But just like a book, you don't know the finish until you've read through it. Well, research hasn't taken us to the end of the book. That's where religion comes in, to fill in what we don't know. Science, nor God, is the answer.

I believe the wind exists because it has demonstrable effects that I can measure and observe.
The same cannot be said about a god. If you have any evidence that shows that a god, and only a god, is responsible for certain measurable effects on the universe, then present those in a video.
Otherwise, you are creating arguments from ignorance and filling the blanks in with "God", when what you should be doing is leaving them blank.

- as far as we can tell "the big bang" was the rapid expansion of all things in the known universe from a single point a "singularity" if you must. why it happened we don't know, but we can tell that it happened because we can measure and see most partials moving away from that point at a constant rate...

ok, the wind. Actually I can explain why the wind blows. Wind is created by pressure differences in our atmosphere. This happens when the air is heated by the sun. Air then expands because the heat 'gives' molecules more energy, so they move around more so molecules are pushed further apart, thus they take up a larger volume.
- I/ we can control the wind via a fan or lighting a fire sense hot air is less dense and moves up push air in that given space away (not as much fun as a fan though)
