I'm sick and tired of this? The fact is that even knowing that this mosque will not build bridges and instead is causing people a lot of pain, this imam still refuses to build it elsewhere. This leaves no doubt in my mind of his intention....to stick his finger in the eye of America. We are not racists or bigots and we don't hate islam. One more point. If this woman lived in say Pakistan, she would likely be beaten by her husband (90% of women are - it's mandated under Shari'a). In Saudi Arabia she wouldn't be allowed to drive. Only the "so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces there is the Face of Allâh" line can be found in the Quran (2:115) and this verse says something completely different.
