  • They really had something special going on here. What incredible sound/production, not to mention the playing. Blows me away. Hopefully this lush and thick sound will one day come back

  • @fsol13 Yeah, I totally agree with you! For me the fadeout part on O.C.O.E. must be some of Vinnie's most amazing drum parts. Such a great chosen playing that little by little gets increasing to a total syncopation... A comeback in sound and production would be awesome, not to mention a musical comeback! ;)

  • As antiquated as this might sound by today's production standards, the ideas in here are still brilliant in their own way. I really miss the whole late 70s - early 80s L.A. fraternity (Toto, Jay Graydon, David Foster) and the like. Question: Is that Michael McDonald on backing vocals on the chorus?

  • @dmainfla Thanks for your comment! The music form that era is actually amazing, Pages being one of the best examples of the whole thing.

The credits above are some I found on the net. There is something McDonald-esque on that chorus part, but I think it is just Richard Page and Steve George as stated on the credits.

  • Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!

  • I got my username from this song and band. I wish Pages had been more famous. They were bloody amazing!

  • @SweetSesatia Well, at least Richard Page and Steve George achieved more fame with Mr. Mister.

  • This was one of the best records from the 80s. It shows you just how far pop music has dropped since then.

Vinnie is just ridiculous here. The great Neil Stuben "shorts" is on bass.:-)
